I know which lionsteel I'm going to get next😁 I have the SR11 because of the beautiful blade shape and it's red lol. You have very good taste in knives my friend and to be honest I have a huge problem with collecting knives they are all over my house but I just can't resist it's like Christmas is every week 😀 Thank you redi and I look forward to more of the Maniago beauties!

That retractable pocketclip is very nice, just the kind of innovation that grabs my attention. Overall I love this knife, but I've not seen any of the handle material type/color that attracts me enough to get one...yet. I'll have the chance to get one in-hand soon and will make a final determination then. Thanks for the review.

Just found the channel today - looks great. I think you will find that you need to turn the roto-block almost 100 degrees for it to fully "engage". Mine was like yours when I first got it, until I gave the blade a good flick open, and used a bit of force to to turn the roto-block.

I’m so Fricken sick of people complaining about blade steel and edge retention hrs testing just fricken sharpen it when it gets dull instead of putting there 2cents in. If they calculated how long it take to comment about the blade steel and ohh how bad and heat treatment I hey could’ve sharpened and stripped the knife before there done commenting. action looks fine tell you people what go home think of some design build treat blade show us how it’s done but don’t come back till you provide the perfect blade steel hrc perfection awesome action. If not then just shut up about that shit. Not meant for you 7redi just people that always complain about perfectly fine steel and way to analytical about testing treatment. They just need to sharpen the knife sharpening is therapeutic using water or oil stones will sharpen any knife quickly.

certainly get your point, i never bought into the whole lionsteel hrc controversy and as we saw it was debunked. also i never had a bad expirience with a lionsteel knife so far.

Stupid people piss me off after awhile of wining there a lot of good reviewers and I like to watch primarily ones that don’t bitch and complain about blade steel what we all want to see most of us just want to see really cool knives with knowledge and content I can only speak for myself but I like what like if someone has a bad experience with particular knife or knife company including Chinese knives hell I digg non logo copies but if there direct counterfeit that’s shady but otherwise I can get a really expensive knife to kind of get a sense of the $600 I’m about to spend so I will spend $60 instead first doesn’t mean there all like that and I like steel type as much as the next guy but dang man not that much I know how to sharpen a knife it’ actually fun to me. Lol stay cool dude I will keep watching keep it up bro your good✌️

its unfortunate that they produce these knives with a steel that doesnt focus on a heat treatment for edge retention. instead focusing on corrosion resistance. they would be better off if they did a secondary hardening of m390 in the heat treatment protocol. this makes these knives less premium, as they dont perform as well as other models in m390 with better heat treatments. if your in the hobby for just the look and flipping then none of this really matters to you much, other than the value wont be something that increases when they get discontinued.

I am not buying in too the whole moslty debunked Lionsteel HRC Controversy. Having owned, used and carryied all of my Lionsteel knives ins M390 & Sleipner steel I never felt the were performing inferiorly to other M390 or similar steel featuring knives from other companies. But thanks for sharing your opinion and for watching.

@@7redi even lionsteel tested there m390 and said sleipner was much better. You can read it yourself on bladeforums.com 600 cuts for M390 and 1200 for sleipner. Its not an opinion and I'm not even brining up hrc. Cause hrc is only one price of the equation.

@@tacticalcenter8658 I can't speak for the M390, but I do have the chad Nichols damascus version. I Can say it is a great steel, a bit hard to sharpen the first time around but man oh man. It has a sharp keen edge to it, and it feels good heat treat wise. The way the stones cut into the metal you can feel a good heat treat on it.

regarding the action see previous comment, The blade is thick for sure as I mentioned in the review. So its not going to be a dedicated slicer but was certainly very sharp but becuase of edge geometry it will split for example an apple instead of slicing it.

Action was garbage!!!!
