Lions had no time outs and no ability to change what the ref said without blowing up their own play THEY called 100% correctly. I don't really care what story the nfl or the refs cook up, this is 100% on the refs and thats why they got demoted and ineligible to ref in the playoffs.

68 reported to the referee before the play. That same ref called the penalty, LATE; after the successful conversion. The referee either had amnesia or suffered a concussion and should have reported to the tent for a head evaluation. The NFL should investigate this matter to prevent fans getting screwed in the pie hole!

Brad Allen blows it again !! Determines the pre-determined game by pretending not to hear the tackle reporting as eligible and then running away from him !!! WTF ?? !!!!

Since both went out in the play they are both unenligable. Honestly 70 should of followed the ref but he cant cross the line of scrimmage and got himself into a no win situation and maybe should of called a timeout if they had one?

Campbell explained to the officials pre-game, to the officials that the Lions were gonna put that play in for the 2 pt conversion. Example if your team is gonna do an onside kick to open or the 1st play in the 2nd half, the officials have to be notified pre-game.

There was hundreds of millions of dollars bet on this game, the cowboys have one of the most expensive high tec stadiums in the NFL, release all the audio and video available. Make that ref sit on the podium and take questions from reporters. There needs to be an explanation given.

I'm a Cowboys fan and I'll take the W but it feels so dirty because it was given by the refs on that horrible call.

Dallas got screwed on that BS tripping call. Aiden Hutchinson was the one that stuck his leg out to trip Pollard and they called it on Dallas. So instead of having 2nd & 1 or 2, and needing only one or two yards to kneel the ball and end the game, the refs gave Detroit life on that blown call. Refs are the only reason Detroit got their last possession. Cope

Nothing more embarrassing than “gambling” on the 2 pt try while still having the opportunity to just kick the extra point for OT. Campbell gambled and loss.

FIRST OF ALL YOURE WRONG JOE BUCK. decker was at guard sewell went to tackle, skipper was at tackle so decker was a TE in that scenario. So the lions didnt have 3 penalties/fouls on that play. B allen just got it wrong.

Another reason why I have refused to watch a full game and only highlights of any professional sports since the big reveal in 2020. Take the red pill and unplug folks.

I wonder which ref had the major bet on lions losing.

The ref screwed up, but that doesn't means the Lions should have won. The Cowboys were mistakenly told number 70 was eligible, not Decker. Of course Decker got open to make the 2-pt conversion. The Cowboys D knew he was ineligible. They should have replayed it from the 2 yard line. Decker's catch was meaningless, but the Lions should not have been penalized 5 yards for the refs mistake.

This meeting is provided to the coaches to explain any “trick plays” that may happen during the game. This was a design play to confuse the defense. There should have been no confusion on the part of the officials.

They reported to the ref the correct player but they ref told the defense the wrong player. The ref f'ed up.

I didn't realize that "crazy" was a synonym for "fixed."

He clearly checked in. This needs to be investigated and fire the ref that was told or something. This is downright embarassing. I hope people see this and seriously start to boycott until changes happen. Stop buying tickets, stop going to games.. once they lose money, they'll pay attention.

I just want to say people need to remember refs are people and people make mistakes not every bad call is "rigging". The main point here is an easy fix is available but the NFL refuses to. They also need to fork over the dough to hire these people full time so they can dedicate themselves to the job and minimize mistakes

I like how this ending didn’t show the play before that. Which also altered the game. That 2 pt conversion would’ve never happened if the tripping call on Hendershot was called correctly which was actually on Hutchinson. Would’ve put the Cowboys inside the Detroit 15 yard line and wouldn’t have got the ball back

Yeah. TWO egregious calls in the final two minutes that really wrecked the game. Called correctly on Hutchinson, it's at least 2nd and 3 on the 22 or 1st and 10 on the 14. Not 1st and 25 on the 44. McCarthy being ultra-aggressive makes more sense the longer you think about the situation.

They only made it to the Red Zone because the penalty called on the wrong team. Next, they had 3 chances to tie the game. You must hold your hand up and tap your chest/stomach area to notify you are an eligible player to touch the ball, not by speaking so the ref can inform the Def coach. Two players can not be eligible on the same play.

The officials have regularly decided the outcome of games for the past couple of years. The NFL needs to address this issue, it’s affecting the product on the field.
