Great passing / playmaking by Messi but the first goal for inter Miami should not have been an assist for Messi to be honest coz the guy who scored the goal dribbled quite a bit before shooting! What I'm saying is, if two players touch the ball before a goal is scored, it is not considered an assist. I'm not bashing you, but that is what an assist is. Because non the two defenders didn't touch the ball.

But I doubt he’d have gone to Miami if he were to be making money that he was making in Europe. He stated that he wanted to end his career playing for Newell’s, and he could’ve definitely gone there but I doubt they’d be able to have paid him such a big sum of money

They have made some changes and Cremaschi return even though he's not that polished runs like a mad man and fills in the void where Messi and Suarez are saving themselves for scoring opportunities. Defense starts with putting some pressure on the backfield with Leo and Luis by themselves that's almost non existent.

The first half they made so many mistakes, I facepalm myself many times looking them making choices. But I guess I finally get it, Tata is forcing them to play tiki taka and go out playing from the back, even if this is a task too hard for them, because he wants to teach them on the hard way how to do it. I think they are learning by force and eventually their strategy workouts, because in the second time all attackers are tired to pressure the defenders and that open space for Messi and Suarez who are lethal.

If you watched the whole game or you watch Messi’s games a lot , you would not say that, most of coaches will have a defender close defend Messi the whole game and have other defenders to cut the path that his teammates could pass the ball through to him, I don’t see that happens to C. R when he plays with weaker teams in Saudi, in MLS, Messi has to pass or get rid of the defender by himself to get space for a good assist or critical pass and Ronaldo in Saudi just needs his teammates to feed him when he gets a good position, easy mode for Ronaldo cuz his teammates are way better. Most of them could be the starting players in premier league or laliga.

@@zhemouli they play different not even close. But I see everytime Cristiano has to be guarded by 2+ defenders. Messi gets the same but not 24/7 like Cristiano. Everytime Cristiano has the ball it's 2+ defenders on him. Messi doesn't get the same treatment as Cristianl because Messi can looks for his teammates. Plus offensively Messi has better help. I have seen Cristiano full games and he's done alot of great pases but his teamates miss alot of open shots. I'm being 100% of what I see of both players I like watching greatness thats why I watch both.

@@johnsepulvedacruz6428 close defense is different from a joint defense, close defense means the defender will go wherever Messi goes unless he stays in his half pitch forever, I watched Ronaldo’s Saudi games as well, I never ever saw a specific defender assigned to guard Ronaldo wherever he is in the pitch, they face different defense pressure, because whenever Messi gets the ball, no matter it is in the box or far from the box, it will be threat, when you say Ronaldo has two+ defenders, that’s because he is always in the box and wait for the pass and of course, the density of defense in that area is full, when Messi is close to the box, the whole defense line will get close to him, can I say that 4 or 5 is guarding Messi? Messi is better finding space than Ronaldo, having said that Saudi league is still easier than MLS due to salary differences and many South Americans play in MLS. Coaches put 2 players on Messi but he dribble or pass the ball for open goal. The next time the coach dare not put 2 players on Messi, or Messi had changed position in the pitch. He can play left, right, CAM, DM, Striker positions.
