Actually, last I checked, he's at 11 and 12 with PSG, but 4 gls with Argentina since PSG season started. If we count from after season ended last, his total gl contributions with Argentina gives him 9 gls + 2 assists in just 4 matches. Giving him a total of 20 gls and 14 assists in 19 matches from club and country. But that's since the summer. Not 2022. From Jan to now he leads everyone in the world with gl contributions until today. I believe he's at 26 gls, and 23 assists with club and country. 49 gl contributions, but I could be making a mistake with assists. I think he may have more with Argentina since Jan 2022, and his total contributions are 55+ this year. Add his 25 with PSG and another 6 gls with PSG in early 2022, and he may be at 61+ gl contributions until now. We're still in October!!

When Messi gets braces, or better yet, 4 gl contributions in a match, jealous haters always say "farmers". Well, he's destroying those farmers as only Messi would, or any player in the world would. He leads evey player in Europe's 5 leagues this season with 57 successful dribbles, most ball possession, and most completed passes. He also is the top player in Europe this season with the most motm's. His gls are not bad with 11 in 15 matches: This gives him an average of 1.55 gl contributions per match for the season. If we add his stats with Argentina, since the beginning of this season, (not year, season that started in July), his total are 20 gls, and 14 assists in 19 matches, from summer until today. This is astounding for any striker, let alone a player in Europe at 35 yrs old. Age hasn't owed him down. Maybe his top speed in a sprint, but he's still fast enough, yet he's more nimble, and precise, in his shots and assists. If we add total gls + assists in 2022 with club and country, he leads all footballers in the world with 24 gls + 29 assists, putting him in 1st place in the world for contributions. He also has the most dribbles at 58, and that's only PSG. Add the dribbles he's had during Argentina matches, and now we start losing count. Also the most motm's this year. Plus the most passes completed this season in Europe. These stats are important when speaking about a playmaker, instead of Right winger only. But he adapts. He's Messi. There are just a few guys that has a very good passing abillity in the modern game , but they are very much way below Messi ' s par ....2 for example is Kevin de Bruyne and Paul Pogba of France ... I saw Messi in the 2014 final ( if im correct ) ...He had the abillity to pass the ball to his playmates in critical goalscoring positions , but the team around him back then ( like Higuain and kie ) , did not had the awareness and full comprehension of the kind of ball Messi was playing at Barcelona ... The only torchbearers left of that "tiki taka " system today ,is only Messi and Neymar .....Neymar had to learn it from them anyway ...because Messi , Xavi , Iniesta , Busquets were all coming from the Barcelona " Johann Cruyff " academy ... The only difference between them was the fact that Messi was a natural born , God given talent ...The tiki taka system just enhanced his football awareness ... Many people say ...." teach the young upcoming players to watch and learn from Messi " ....Its impossible ...They should learn from Cristiano Ronaldo..not Messi ...
