Well there is a difference between long distance and outside the box goals. He doesn't need to try to shoot from longdistance like CR7 because unlike him he can dribble to a better position to score.

To be honest Pele was right about the first 2 of his claims. He cant score long range goals is what he said and outside the box and long range goals are different things. Almost all of Messis outisde the box goals came from just a little outsiden that is not long range. And about scoring with his weak foot : Messi has more than 700 goals and only 90 something of them were by weak foot and 580 goals by strong foot. It is definitely true that he can not play comfortably with his weak foot
