I love this man

At first blush, a guy like Kevin Richardson is not someone I'd take a shine to. But having watched him in feature pieces and especially on his own KZread channel, he stands apart from so many of his 'animal-aligned' contemporaries who have significant media exposure. Most zoological and natural history content, as well as the people who present it, do a great deal of damage to our understanding of wild animals, both in captivity and in the wild. Even the BBC Natural History Unit is guilty of producing content that leans heavily on anthropomorphism and the creation of dramatic, human-like narratives. Kevin is notable for a few reasons, not the least of which is his refusal to present the animals in his care as anything other than what they are.

Amazing. Well he gives these animals love...others dont so that is why he gets the love and respect from lions. They feel the love! :) He is amazing..I am planning to go to his park next year. To live this will be amazing. I love Kevin and his work.

Tons of respect for this wonderful human...pride member and seemingly humble person. This behavior and his way of interaction with these kings and Q queens and also leopards and hyenas is what I have known in my heart❤since I was tiny. Animal have emotions. And depth. They have hearts. ❤ Thank you Kevin....and his team at the sanctuary and all lion whisperer supporters. #savethelions❤

Exactly! He is not their owner, or their master or trainer like what we see when your get a pet. He is seen as part of their pride, he is equal to them, he doesn't whip them or tell them what to do, he is their family as well. Well I mean that is what it is like with the lions. The hyenas would be a different story, but that's because they have a very strict chain of command. But even then I don't think he would be the lowest ranking male....

He is changing the bad reputation of lions. Thanks, Kevin!!!!!

Redelijk wat mensen begrijpen dit, maar niet genoeg. Het meest verafschuwende fenomeen wat zich voordoet, is dat de menselijke ontwikkeling erg cumulatief is; alles moet meer en groter worden ipv beter. Alle hedendaagse problemen leiden terug naar het feit dat er veel te veel mensen en te weinig prachtige dieren zoals leeuwen zijn, die helpen de natuur in balans te houden, waar het uiteindelijk allemaal om gaat.

I dont think molested is the word that comes to mind when talking about lion attacks.

Kevin Richardson is an amazing guy and i have a great deal of respect for him and what he does but it's pissing me off that they are calling him the lion king and etc. I mean all he did was raise those animals since birth, like of course they are going to love him and consider him as a part of their family if he raised them and took care of them since they were born. I can do the same exact thing aswell all i have to do is somehow get a lion cub as a pet and raise it and it will love me 2.
