It is challenging to be a mother in the wild. 75% of lion cubs will not make it to adulthood, but this is part of the natural process to maintain balance. It's still very hard for me to accept that any cute, fluffy little cub won't grow into a beautiful, magnificent adult lion, despite knowing and understanding the natural process. I'm too tender-hearted.
