Join us on an incredible safari adventure in the heart of Londolozi, where we embark on a mission to track the elusive Nkuwa Female and her two playful male cubs. Our journey takes an unexpected turn when we receive news that the Skorro Breakaway Male is on the move, engaging in a thrilling chase with a hyena over a precious carcass.
But the excitement doesn't end there! Reece tips us off about the Nkuwa Female and her cubs heading south for a river rendezvous. We're on the scene just in time to witness two stunning leopards banks of the river. Upon quenching their thirst the leopards return to a carcass stashed in the grass and one quick to have his fill. Unsure of the second cub's whereabouts and the sun setting below the horizon, we leave the site to avoid attracting in any hyenas that would likely steal the free meal.
The following morning, we venture out to uncover the mystery of what transpired overnight. Along the way, we encounter a majestic group of elephants casually feeding near camp.
With no leopards around the site of the carcass and the carcass no longer, we channel our inner Sherlock Holmes and turn into nature's detectives, uncovering clues of what could have transpired and why there are no animals around. Claw marks ascending the tree, and nyala fur stuck in the bark lead us to believe that the leopards attempted to hoist the carcass.
With the youngsters lacking experience in repositioning the carcass and hoisting it, there is a high chance that one of them may have knocked it out of the tree for the pesky hyenas to steal. Presuming that the leopards would have returned to the river we drive along there hoping to find them.
As we search for the animals by the river, we stumble upon a fellow ranger and tracker in need of some assistance, and we step in to save the day.
