Linton GIN 1969 Jet Provost aerobatic training flight - lots of in flight shots
A 1969 film showing Linton GIN practicing their aerobatics. Plenty of in-flight shots.
This film was found in a box of my fathers cine films that had been "stored" for over 25 years.
Linton Gin were :-
Sqd Ldr Sid Edwards,
Fg Off Joe Whitfield,
Flt Lt Dave Waddington, ( my father )
Fg Off Al Colesky,
These guys are shown walking to the planes, carrying their helmets.
Backup pilots were
Fg Off J.L.Bishop, & Flt Lt. Dave Coldicutt
J.L.Bishop is the guy wearing the GIN overalls & laughing at the end of the film.
My Dad made a few notes about the film. Here they are ....

- Taxy from behind
- Long take off & turn
- Joe Diamond Loop - boss- Joe - boss - Barrell Roll

- 5 ship pass behind tower
- Bishop look left
- Sgt & Marwood look right
The music WAS "Tired Wings" from "The Four Horsemen". But this caused the video to stop being available in some countries in the world, So I've swapped it for a copyright free song from Evanesence.

Wow..thanks for the memories. I was ground crew at Linton in 1969 1st and 2nd line. Many a time I watched the team perform. Thankyou for preserving this historic film
Awesome to see such great footage, even more exciting seeing my Dad there, he is the one right at the end with his sleeves rolled up. WTG Sandy :)
