@@amd1273it’s about the money, the majority of the fanbase is loyal to the bands name itself, if they changed names they would lose out on huge amount of money and fans coming back for nostalgia purposes, if it’s a different name the fans have to accept that it’s not the same, when it’s same name they can live in denial and pretend it’s the same band . Like we’re talking a difference of hundreds of thousands of fans coming back on whether they use original name or not. Same thing happened with Pantera, as much as the tribute was well done and showed respect it’s not the same without the abbot brothers. It’s just hard to tell if they are doing it for the actual legacy and tribute or for a quick money grab, it was tough for me to decide to go see Pantera tribute cuz I’m younger and never saw the original but knew that the abbots were essential to the band and that it could possibly be a money grab but it honestly did feel like they wanted to continue their legacy out of respect, it’s a very iffy subject but it comes down to money at the end and the “legacy” part could be genuine or just a front to get away with it

People need to accept the fact that Chester is gone, and these guys need to move on with their music. They shouldn’t have their careers punished due to a singer passing, Chester would want them to move on. No one can replace him, and Mike has gone on record saying they dont want to…but they do want to keep going and gain momentum working on new material. They have every right to do so. RIP Chester.

Didn’t Linkin Park always strive for “new music, new sounds, new innovations anyways?” Then I feel it is up to the band members if they want to continue this Legacy of keeping Linkin Park alive. But of course with a different lead singer and a different purpose. The main thing is that as long as each of the original band members still have a passion to put in the hard work as they did before and that they want to. Musically, each of them are experts in changing their style with having their millions of followers follow - them no matter what- always keeping Chester’s soul with them in their music. I think Mike would love to continue utilizing his creative talents with Chester’s inspiration!! 💜💜

The band, Orgy, is a good Industrial Rock band. I got into them because Julien-K’s members, Ryan Schuck and Amir Derakh used to be in Orgy. I saw them live for the first time in 2017, and they did a good show. While finishing up their set, they played New Order’s Blue Monday, Jay Gordon was in the crowd, letting others sing, I got the mic, and sing a bit. One of my favorite moments. They are going to play at The Whisky a Go Go late this month, but I won’t go because I made plans. Hope for the best.

The thing is, I understand why people can't fathom LP going forward with a new vocalist, because so much of LP was Chester, but I also think that the other guys have put a lot of time and effort into the band and it's their careers that have been halted because of something that wasn't in their control. They want to make music and tour and enjoy their lives as they once did and I just don't think it's fair on them that one person's death should stop them or change them or turn them into anything less than what they've already created. I know that there will always be people that disagree but you need to ask yourself, when should the mourning end, should Chester's suicide ruin what the band has accomplished, and are you really a fan of the band. I can't wait to see them continue and I look at Chester's time in the band as a beautiful chapter but now it's time to move forward. It wasn't just Chester's band, it was all of their band. They all worked hard, they all put in a lot of time and effort into every aspect of the music. Let them continue peacefully.

Seeing a lot of mentions of the guy from the European tribute band Hybrid Theory. There is also a tribute here in Minnesota USA called Hybrid Theory. Saw them live once a few months ago, and both singers absolutely blew me away with their uncanny ability to pull it all off. Vocals, the looks to an extent, the moves. Sounded amazing! The opening band was Mad Alice, a tribute to both Mad Season and Alice In Chains, which the singer nailed the vocals of Layne Staley. I literally had chills during both band’s performances.

Lots of iconic bands continue to push forward through the toughest mental battle of losing a bandmate but the importance of the music connecting with the fans is what matters the most & trying new ideas & exploring their creativity! I think finding another singer would be a good idea. We all know Chester was the soul of the band but Linkin Park isn’t just him. It wouldn’t be fair to them not being allowed to move on. I feel like a female singer wouldn’t be the best opinion, it wouldn’t feel like Linkin Park and it would be difficult to fit in some songs. With that being said I think the best opition would definitely be the lead singer from hybrid Theory tribute band. Yes he has a similar voice but it’s not just about that. He is very consistent, he can sing and scream unbelievably well during an entire show. I recommend Linkin Park fans to watch their show on KZread. hybrid theory live at Altice Arena 2023. That video shows exactly why he would be the perfect choice. Some people will say that being similar is not good even physically, but that show for me shows everything. And don’t forget people will criticize weather it’s a very different singer or a singer who sounds close to Chester.

No matter how Linkin Park comes back, no matter who they pick for a singer, they will never be the LP of Hybrid Theory or Meteora, etc. Because even with Chester, they continued to grow and change with each album. They grew up, had different experiences, got married, had children, had different responsibilities, became wiser and learned things through life. Their sound changed as they did. You cannot have what is passed. And that's okay. I love every album they put out, no matter how the sound changed because it was GOOD MUSIC that touched me. I love Chester still and will miss him forever, but no matter what others say, Linkin Park was NOT just Chester. Every one of those guys put their hearts and souls into the group and the music that made it what it was. And for that, they deserve to do whatever THEY feel is right for the band and speaks to them through the music that runs through their veins. Personally, I don't think a "copycat" Chester voice would be the way they would want to go. If that ends up being a female singer, then they will be doing it because it's right for where they want the band to go. They have had 7 years to think hard and long about it and I will applaud them and welcome them.

I think they can just keep making music with mike as the only vocalist. Maybe live shows would be difficult when playing old songs but he's a good singer. I would love new material from them.

That doesn’t make sense. Linkin Park are all about having a rapper and a lead singer. Without that a comeback doesn’t make sense

Nah, they better not get a female vocalist. I'm not thrilled about that if it were true. Criticize me all you want IDGAF. Just no, it will change the sound and dynamic way too much.

Disagree tbh. I think going with a female vocalist is an amazing idea! Another male vocalist would just be like someone trying to replace Chester in my mind. But a female vocalist would be something totally different which would actually make it easier for me to accept. Remains to be seen how it actually sounds of course, but I'm all for it. No criticism to you, your opinion just as valid as mine.

They should continue with mike as the frontman going foreward and use a backing track with chesters voice for live shows, id want them to have something great to release before announcing theyre back together so they can show theyre moving foreward and have more stuff to play live without chesters voice being required as much in the future, they shouldnt completely phase him out but they have to move foreward as shinodas linkin park

Please be true. One of the greatest bands of all time has the opportunity to somewhat continue, that would be amazing. RIP chester. Welcome to the next amazing singer, you won't be chester but you will bring some wonderful music to our ears
