I can't believe she's playing for so many people. I first saw her live at a small club of only a few hundred people. This was after the release of her first album. Then I saw her on the Brave Enough tour at a sold-out small arena of a few thousand. Now she's playing huge open air festivals like that. And America's got Talent said she would never amount to anything 😂. Amazing as usual. Can't wait for her to come play a show in my area. I'll be there for sure.

@@SJR-kn7le that is very interesting to learn about. good and complex music aren't the same thing. I'm a pianist and a dancer, and music typically needs more precision. It's fine if a backup dancer is occasionally a half-beat or so off, but that'd be really jarring on a violin. Lindsey brings that precision to the whole performance.

"Shchedryk" (Ukrainian: Щедрик, from Щедрий вечiр, "Bountiful Evening") is a Ukrainian shchedrivka, or New Year's song, known in English as "The Little Swallow". It was arranged by composer and teacher Mykola Leontovych in 1916 and tells a story of a swallow flying into a household to sing of the wealth that will come with the following spring.[1] "Shchedryk" was originally sung on the night of January 13, New Year's Eve in the Julian Calendar (December 31 Old Style), which is Shchedry Vechir. Early performances of the piece were made by students at Kyiv University. "Shchedryk" was later adapted as an English Christmas carol, "Carol of the Bells", by Peter J. Wilhousky following a performance of the original song by Alexander Koshetz's Ukrainian National Chorus at Carnegie Hall on October 5, 1922.[2] Wilhousky copyrighted and published his new lyrics (which were not based on the Ukrainian lyrics) in 1936, and the song became popular in the United States and Canada, where it became strongly associated with Christmas.[3] Conceptually, the Ukrainian lyrics of this song meet the definition of a shchedrivka, while the English content of "The Little Swallow" identifies it as a koliadka.

as a pro musician , do you think she is actually playing that violin jumping around like that , or is it "violin synching" to a studio recorded track ?? Doesn't it seem "a bit too perfect" to be live while dancing around all over the place AND playing the violin ??? Plus sometimes what I see her playing and what I hear being played don't quite jive ..... @@PeterIIxx Sorry guy, it's not. Lindsey's stats prove that it's not... Lindsey always plays live. She has said that she tried "faking" it once and it just looked ridiculous. Because it is way too hard to sync the violin playing to the music. And it looks way too obvious. Lindsey has been playing the violin for *30* years and she added dancing *18* years ago. They say to be an expert at something, you need 10,000 hours. Lindsey has 30,000 hours. Every concert and show has been SOLD-OUT. *Would you buy a ticket ($100-$200) to a "fake" show?* Lindsey has 13.8 million subs, 4 billion views, 131 music videos, hundreds of misc. videos, 6 full albums, 25+ violins, and has toured the world many times. Lindsey is a Professional. She doesn't need to fake it. In fact, I like saying, "Almost anyone can stand around and play Bach. But how many can play AND dance to Michael Jackson?" I have collected some KZread videos of Lindsey that may help you... kzread.info/dash/bejne/laKY15agj9abZdY.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/m4yklKusiq2aXZM.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/k45-yNewfNLQhZM.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/hq11xtmmeJOWmZs.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/o3hpxq2SlcW4eaw.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/q6aWlq-LmJbXp6g.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/eWlk06qdgK_OY5c.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/kYuJ0KSDd7WWc5c.html

Wow! I've been too timid to call Miss Stirling "Maestro" but, someone earlier in these comments did. Looking back over the body of her efforts, her dances, her song arrangements, and the outfits she designed...yeah, I find myself in agreement! Lindsey Stirling is in my opinion, definitely a Maestro!

This is a beautiful violin version of the Ukrainian “Shchedryk", Lindsey Stirling, (Ukrainian: Щедрик, from Щедрий вечiр, "Bountiful Evening") Shchedryk" (Ukrainian: Щедрик, from Щедрий вечiр, "Bountiful Evening") is a Ukrainian shchedrivka, or New Year's song, known in English as "The Little Swallow". It was arranged by composer and teacher Mykola Leontovych in 1916, and tells a story of a swallow flying into a household to sing of wealth that will come with the following spring. "Shchedryk" was originally sung on the night of January 13, New Year's Eve in the Julian Calendar (December 31 Old Style), which is Shchedry Vechir. Early performances of the piece were made by students at Kyiv University. "Shchedryk" was later adapted as an English Christmas carol, "Carol of the Bells", by Peter J. Wilhousky following a performance of the original song by Alexander Koshetz's Ukrainian National Chorus at Carnegie Hall on October 5, 1922. Wilhousky copyrighted and published his new lyrics (which were not based on the Ukrainian lyrics) in 1936, and the song became popular in the United States and Canada, where it became strongly associated with Christmas. Conceptually, the Ukrainian lyrics of this song meet the definition of a shchedrivka, (or New Year’s Song), while the English content of "The Little Swallow" identifies it as a koliadka, (Christmas Song or Christmas Carol), 🇺🇦SLAVA 🔱KRAINI🇺🇦
