From Grease to Dogfight to Godspell to Wicked to Carousel, Lindsay Mendez is a true force of nature. Very happy that she is finally getting truly noticed and rewarded for her insane talent and passion. As an aside she is also the friendliest and most genuine actress currently on Broadway.

They are delightful! Mr. Gemingnani’s voice is remarkable!!!
This has always been my family’s favorite song from Carousel. These two sang this perfectly ❤️

Why is this… so accurate
So sweet
I was there in person for the Drama Desks. Went in support of Lindsay since I study with her at Actor Therapy (the Theater school she runs with Ryan Scott Oliver). Proud you Mama.
Beautiful ! At last everyone is getting to know Lindsay and her stunning voice . Can't wait for the cast album.
Alexander Gemingani was my first Valjean. He's been a musical idol ever since. He is just stupid good.

He really is. Did you see him in Encores "1776?" He blew that stage up.

Martha Garvey He’s also a GREAT actor. You should watch him play Johnathan Hinkley Jr. in Stephen Sondheim’s “Assassins”. And on top of that, he’s the son of Paul Gemingani, Sondheim’s most frequently collaborative Conductor. In my mind, He’s the Broadway equivalent to Paul Giamatti!
Love Lindsy Mendez.... the best. Congrats, you deserve all the accolades.
So freaking great. They are just genius, brilliant people. Whoever disliked this...WHY?!
Lindsay Mendez is precious

Ha. Same thing happened in the show.
Brilliant! Carousel deserved Best Revival, Joshua Henry as Best Actor, and the great Alex Gemigani as Best Supporting Actor. Loved the show, it was brilliant. Shame on The Tonys.

So true! Every actor that was nominated here should have won, this show was perfection!!
Just wondering, is Enoch supposed to be a lot older than Carrie? I'd only imagine him being like 5 years older her, so he'd be in his mid to late 20s and she'd be in her early 20's? Or does it just depend on the actors? He looks at least 10-15 years older than her here.

Enoch was born middle-aged.
And Lindsay is disgustingly good as always. I will say I did not recognize her instantly. Perhaps the makeup and lighting did not agree?

Joseph Johnson she looks different but i think it’s her hair, she usually has more volume

Because she is usually a belter, but R and H's musicals calls for head and clean vibratos.
I have to admit I prefer a real soprano as Carrie. As much as I love Lindsay she sounds like a muppet here. Go listen to Audra McDonald if you want to hear how this song was written.

So this is amazing, but why do they sound like they’re from Brooklyn?

Good stage chemistry. Nice rendition, but she's too Ethel Murman for me. She should use that vibratto sparingly.

It's a New England accent, not Brooklyn. Listen more carefully.

Bob Webster is it specific to ME? I'm from CT, and no one here talks like that haha

No, it's not you. Go a bit further north tho. Maine like Minnesota, has a very distinct accent. And it's written that way.
