I went to Brownsville while being abused by a religious family member... I was 13, I'm 33 now... the seed that was sown in my life back then is beginning to sprout and now I love the Word so much... I dont know what I would do without the holy spirit with me...hearing these songs brings me so much comfort because back then I wanted my life to end... and now everyday is beautiful. No stopping me now!

I know from experience Jesus makes one whole again, if you allow him to. Forgiving is key for you not them. I also know God svenges one. Especially if they won't repent of their sin. God our Heavenly father does not accept bullying his beloved children. Healed, delivered, set free by the power of the Blood of Jesus The Grace of the Cross., my prayer is that you recieve the fullness of his of his Grace and total healing spirit, souls, body in Jesus Christ name. The redeemer. Stay free it is your covenant right.

Revival first comes by repentance secondly seeking him with all your heart with all you got. Then you'll have revival like I heard Steve Hill say we need ministers to maintain revival not to control it.

Creation Calls was the song that put me on my knees in Feb 1998. I was already saved. A few pastors invited me to go from NC to Pensacola. God spoke to me when we stopped at one of the beaches in Pensacola. Everything God spoke to me, came out during this tune. I have been a worship leader since. An anointing was imparted that night. Longer story where God gets ALLLLLL the glory. I will never be the same.

I was a 25 year drug addict. God showed up to me in rehab. I was not looking for him. But he sure found me. I never did one step of the 12 steps. I came out of there 30 days later lost looking for this thing called Christ and a church. I bounced around from church the church looking for what God told me I was searching for. I stumbled across Brownsville revival. And the music. It’s save my life. I became a 911 medic after I came out of rehab. At 40 years old I went back to college. I’ve now been a medic for 20 years. Passed drug test after drug test 20 years running. And these song still play in my head to this day. You can say what you want about Brownsville revival and some of the pastors were in it for the money only. But I truly believe this man Liindell Cooley is the only one left standing that had a pure heart. His music speaks to me this day.

I went to that Revival as a teen on fire for the Lord. We traveled from S. GA to go and I remember thinking that God's anointing was on Lindell. Where are revivals like this nowadays? You used to could find "Real" revivals all the time. You might have to drive an hour or two, but there was one to be found. It seems that we've lost that desire to have revival and that's why our Country is in the shape it is in right now... God we pray for revival in our land once again, through your Son Jesus name. AMEN!!

I was at Brownsville revival one night...guess it was close to midnight or so....Lindell had come off stage to pray for people....It was a casual setting people were just soaking in the Lord...I was facing the stage just standing in His Presence....and out of nowhere I felt this...power just pushing me like someone had their hand on the center of my back....and it started getting stronger and stronger till finally...I had to turn around and see what was going on.....It Was Lindell....about maybe 15ft behind me....we looked at each other and he said...YOU....And I said who Me? he said yes I need to pray for you...And I just went OH LORD cause I knew Jesus was fixing to do something incredible...That Night...among others changed my life...But this one in particular stands out....I woke up about a hour later....or I should say I was finally able to stand up...I felt so clean in that moment like all the bad things in my life had been washed away....Thank You Jesus....And Thank you Lindell for your service to our Lord.....And for helping to change my life....

I made that trek from Ft Worth, TX to Florida during that revival! Our church owned a charter bus and that bus took several loads of hungry hearts over several weeks. We stood in line, outside the church, all day to get in! I'd never seen anything like it! A lot of people didn't get into the main sanctuary and were put in overflow rooms and watched the service on closed circuit TV's. That's where my group was the first night there. But God still showed up and moved! The second day we got there early in the morning and there was already a long line. We made it to the bancony that night! That night I saw the glory of God fill the room with a cloud... a literal cloud! I had never experienced anything like that then and to this day! We stayed in God's prescence until past 2a.m. and they started turning the lights out! Our group did not sleep that night, but found a Denney's that was open all night and stayed up talking about what God had done in our lives till morning! I can still hear, "I'm running to The Mercy Seat!"

Thank you for bringing back a memory I would surely have lost.. I hadn't even thought of Lindel K. Brownsville or of the week wore a church van out driving from Sylacauga Al.to Pensacola Fl. and back almost every day for two weeks. I remember now the nights they turned the lights out on us, and we found our way to that Dennys.. I remember prayer lines outside that church, and going out to witness to whoever we could find when we had to leave.... Hello again from Alabama

It’s crazy how the Holy Spirit works! By August my husband became a pastor up here in Alabama,,,, and people in our congregation are coming to me with Words from God that I’ve been praying through the Revival at Brownsville worship songs. I lived in Brownsville. I went to the Revival. Brownsville was a polite way of saying 'blacksville', originally on the outskirts of Pensacola, where the poor and colored folks lived. Not much has changed in Brownsville 25 years later...it's still drugs and hors and crime, and God's still there, with open arms, welcoming the broken and downtrodden and the ones desperate for Him. And He's still touching, still delivering, still blessing, still offering glorious freedom from the horrible shackles of sin. Miracles happen everyday, just return to your knees, humble yourself, and watch the indescribable love of Jesus flow in, healing, blessing, delivering, and transforming lives. Blessed be, His name Alone.

I went back to Brownsville CDs since it has a real flavor of grace. Feel that today’s worship songs and bands are flavorless, too focused on having a nice music, nice lights, nice show. Where ´s God anointing? Too focused on preaching a gospel that will make you successful and rich... Time has come to repent and get back to Jesus with all our heart and strength. For me all I want is to spend time in Jesus presence, get closer to him all the rest is not important. I am not judging but so sad to see that 25 years ago was better. Let’s go back to the source : His presence. Be blessed friends.

Some of today's worship is depressing. There's too much "Woe is me" with no victory. We have victory in Jesus. We are more than conquerors through Him. Worship should bring joy and victory in our hearts. Worship should bring us into God's presence. There's something wrong with some of the worship music today. It's defeated and like you said focused on sounding cool with no real message or like we're at a concert.

I get on KZread and watch the Brooklyn Tabernacle sometimes. They don’t have the choir, which we all know and loved back in the day, but they have the BRooklyn Tabernacle singers, who are fantastic! They sing very worshipful music, much from years ago that we used to sing and get right into the presence of God! Yes, there’s so much music today that I feel is more entertainment…..however, being a former worship team member of a large church, I know that the Spirit really moves up on that stage. Can’t really pass judgment on the worship team, but I know many people struggle with being able to worship in spirit and in truth with the current music out there. Remember Alvin Slaughter and Ron Kenoli? Awesome worship, exciting, done WELL, so all involved on the team, orchestra and in the congregation could really worship and celebrate from the heart! How I miss that!!! I would move to New York if I could, just to attend that church and sense God’s presence on a regular basis again!

I remember that day before the service even started how powerful his presence was and it left me and my sister totally speechless. We literally could not talk no matter how much we tried we couldn't get any words out and the glory was so awesome that fell upon us that day. I want that again, I want to experience that awesome presence upon me again because in his presence I experienced such joy and peace and the most real love I have ever felt in my life. In these I find solace and peace in Gods love, praise be to God. Brother Lindell, that your best years are ahead of you yet. You are an angel from God sent from heaven to feed God’s people when they feel downtrodden and lowly which a lie of the devil. I pray you continue to strengthen Gods people through this anointed praise and worship! I’d like to meet you in person someday, but for now your songs will fortify my spirit and soul. God bless You! I was a very shy drummer in our church that played like a mad man, but I just never really felt His Spirit. I was married to the Pastors daughter and was "forced" to go to the first service as a staff member of the church. Lindell and Steve both laid hands on me in the front right alter. People were laying all around me. Slain or they were travailing. I grew up in the Church of God so I had seen a lot of things by this time of my life. When they laid hands on me, I did in fact go out. Never had happened to me before. After the service, I didn't feel much. I was my shy self as always. Got back to Texas and our first service post going was that Sunday. Music was going and done and then the preaching started. Still not much there... All of the sudden I was walking to the alter from the back of the church. I don't remember really getting up, I was half way there when I realized i was going to go up on the platform. Didn't know why... Didn't know what I was gonna say if I did. The pastor saw me hit the first step and he just handed me the mic and you know preachers don't just hand over mics... Something was about to happen... I felt the Spirit that was imparted in me begin to speak. It wasn't my words.. I was merely along for the ride.... It was an altar call. I was mortified! I guess I had said what I had to say... And my last words were "Get Real". People started flooding to the front and I was laying hands on people that I didn't even know. They were just going out just like in Brownsville... Wasn't me... I was just a vessel at that point. We had a smaller version of the revival in Brownsville for about 2 years or so and they called it the "Get Real" revival. After this revival... The devil did a number on me. I got into meth and heroin and sadly a divorce. I was running the streets and living under bridges and whatever dope house I could find. I spent years in my addiction and years of going to jail and being on probation. In 2009... I woke up on my birthday and said I was done. I have been sober from meth and heroin ever since. I kept pleading Enemy's Camp until I could find a bed at rehab. I got clean. I started drinking as I moved addictions. Never too serious... A couple of drinks and laughing and jokes with the boys at the bar. Since then, I have been completely restored within myself. I do admit I have a drink every now and again but that is getting fewer and farther between. I have restored my name and integrity. I have a well paid job. I fought the FBI and was able to restore my license to carry which was as hard as getting sober in a lot of ways.... I toured with a national country music artist and I have since helped to start an A/V company and travel all over the country doing shows. This all goes back to Lindell. I was drenched in boredom of the music of that era. It did not speak to my spirit. Lindell's style, voice and song selection as well as his desire for perfection... Yet, brokenness in his music is what drew me in I know he has gone through a lot these past few years and I wish I could visit his church while he is still going at it. Maybe one day. You all be blessed and hopefully realize that this revival and it's music birthed a lot of soldiers for Christ. Blessings.

I received healing for SYSTEMIC LUPUS at this revival at the New Jersey Meadowlands... in July of 2020. Received Medical confirmation of the healing in August of 2022... the same date of the onset of the disease 7 years before in 1993! SO MANY OF THESE details that ONLY GOD CAN ORCHESTRATE!!! I JUST CELEBRATED 21 YEARS OF BEING TOTALLY HEALED... At the onset of the illness, I was given 6 months to live. God intervened and provided me with the information I needed to turn that prognosis and together we did JUST THAT... I new before then and this confirmed it that I was not going to die from Lupus. When the 6 months were over... I was no longer dying... and had changed the prognosis medically. The stories of the healings over the next 7 years just kept coming... My faith was strong but it grew by leaps and bounds!

I think the call is the same today"oh God of Elijah hear our cry send the fire....make us fit to live or die ..send the fire again"nothing has changed ,but a whole generation grew up singing the songs of revival with a heart cold as stone as ever....time for the leaders to turn back...I think this is something that Steve would say

I went to the Brownsville Revival against my will fighting my parents tooth and tail. Little did I know, that an encounter with God was awaiting me. He definitely marked my life that day and I've never been the same. He is worthy of Glory, Honor and Praise! 1:10 - Revival Fall 5:25 - The Happy Song 9:06 - Enemy's Camp 13:40 - Creation Calls 18:27 - I Need You More 21:37 - Hymn - No Not One 23:00 - Draw Me Close To You 25:13 - Desperate For you 27:50 - What A Powerful Name It Is

I never made it to Pensacola. But the music sure lived in the churches I led. When Lindell said 25 years I shook my head in disbelief. It doesn't seem that long. So much of the "stuff" they are singing now is just that. Stuff. Like the stuff they put in Chinese plush animals. They'll put ANYTHING inside those things as long as the outside looks right. Oh that's a sermon right there. I'd better stop. Glad to see you doing well pastor. We met briefly in Toronto, but as I recall there was some sort of power outage or sound system failure at the conference.

My favorite song was sung at the alter call, Running to the Mercy Seat. I think that was the name. The video is on here. I believe the young ladies name is Charity. I was not able to go to Brownsville, but they came to out church in Ft. Worth, TX. Bethel Temple on Meadowbrook Drive. I sure miss that place and the people.
