I will always remember my experience with this revival... I attended both the revival in Rhode Island and in New Jersey. I knew if I went to New Jersey I was going to be healed of Systemic Lupus... it was no accident that I attended the Rhode Island event. God has plans for me...and when I went to New Jersey... it was the last day, the last gathering, the last prayer session when Pastor Kilpatric saw me from the other end of the collusium floor, made a bee line for me, grabbed hold of me and said... THIS is for you honey!!! and went flying back in the presence of the Holy Spirit. I receive medical confirmation from the medical team of doctors I had in Boston... that there was no longer any evidence of the disease anywhere in my body. That confirmation came 7 years to the date of the onset of the disease. ONLY GOD can orchestrate that!!! ONLY GOD!!! That happened in 2000, it is now 2019 and I am still going strong and even stronger for GOD! It is really sad that this man was released from his position but... God is in control! To have lives threatened because of the school board position... THAT is not from God and those who did that are NOT speaking for God and my heart grieves for those zealots! I agree with WHO CARES if sharing the gospel is illegal!!! GOD is more important than any single person on the face of this earth. Steve Hill was a tremendous vessel used by God! ... and fight continues on!

One of my closest friends is best friends with the ex-vice principals wife and I know her well too, and hear how they are doing. They moved away to another position out of state and they are still doing wonderful and still on fire for the Lord, reaching ppl for Jesus in the city they are in now, so that is the important thing.

@@benmiddleton9984 Did the Holy Spirit become mute? I don't think so. Jesus said in John 10:27, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."

Jesus is NOT a religion but through him we have a personal relationship with the Master. 1 Cor 2:14.

I was a bit skeptical about Steve Hill initially but now I consider him to be one of the most genuine Evangelists ever. What an amazing story. I love the message of repentance that dominates this revival with so many changed lives. It is time for God to move again, but are we prepared to pay the price? Am I willing to pay the price? Imagine going to church on Fathers Day and not stopping for 5 years!!!! Thanks for the post.

@@Noniksleft it means sacrificing and selling out to God. Pray more, read your Bible more, fasting more and turning your back on the things of the world. That sounds like easy tasks but trust me, they are not. Forsaking everything and everyone that goes against God...that price. Alot of people claim they want it but do they?? Some say I wana be like Paul, but do they really??? Most??? Probably not...Not many can endure what he and Peter as well as the others endured..

If speaking in tongues was a gift they would not need to teach a class in how to do it. I am a God fearing man and believe in the whole Bible. I do not cheery pick what fits to what I want it to be.

I’d rather no adults outside of my family speak to my child in an intimate way. Bc they can impose themselves in any way on an vulnerable child.

Today's media could never produce this segment. There is some bias, but they actually allow real answers to be given. This is far more fair and open than anything I have seen in ten or fifteen years.

This is all true. I just attended first assembly of Montgomery tonite and heard John Kirkpatrick who came as a guest soeaker, give testimonies and told of amazing miracles of healings and more that he witnessed at Brownsville back in the day. Many people that I know witnessed same at Brownsville , and their lives changed forever to serve God and decades later theres still evidence. John Kirkpatrick,now pastors Church of His Prescence in Al and is a very balanced, , knowledgable teacher, and annointed pastor and his record speaks for itself and has stood the test of time. Steve Hill passed , but his family still evangalizes and shares the good news of the gospel and Jesus Christ . We need more revivals like this and John believes it will happen again!

Christianity will never die.

Physical manifestation/ controversy has always followed every move of God, starting in Acts 2. Glory!

What an epic flowing in the POWER OF THE HOLY Spirit .Here at Brownsville was dynamic Revival at its truest with true repentance and holiness preaching, altars jammed with fervent intensity of hungering to touch GOD and to taste, to see and know the goodness of the wonder of His power in such sacred consecrated times of worship . Yes, i can attest to the truth and validity in the comments of Pastors Hill and Kilpatrick who said that ''some worshippers are so filled with the Spirit that they jerk and shake uncontrollably.'' I do remember as a youthful teenager being in a meeting worshipping when all of a sudden my knees and hands all began to shake quite uncontrollably and I couldn't stop them even if i tried to , not that i ever wanted to mind you LOL . I shall never forget that wonderful day of visitation of God's power and glory actively captivating my life so very powerfully.

I thank the Lord 4 my former Highschool REAL SAVED SANCTIFIED HolyGhost filled Christian"teacher back in 1987 for praying with me & 4 me!!! I'll never forget her! I was a broken teenager & didn't know the Lord! I look back & now I can see! The Lord sent her 2 my H.S for such a time. Someone narked on her because she would pray with my class & she was dismissed as my teacher! She didn't reveal the reasons just said", she was leaving, but we would be ok. If I could see her again in this life I would tell her I finally found "JESUS" & thankyou 4 praying 4 me & showing real LOVE MY OWN FAMILY NEVER TRULY SHOWED! I now I'll see her in HEAVEN! HALLELUJAH! GLORY!

Awww, A Christian teacher tutored me off the clock and for free during the summers and it changed the trajectory of my life. My clothes reeked with the smell of cigarettes and my hair was often snarled, but she told me I was smart and even baked cookies with me while others wrote me off for failure. I saw the Jesus in her, her favorite song that I remember she always had playing was, “they will know we are Christians by our love.” I also graduated high honors, and despite people in the public school system previously saying I wouldn’t ever be able to keep up, I outscored 98% of my state academically. I did that without really trying. Sometimes the people that come against us, are simply doing that, coming against us and God‘s plan for us because they don’t understand the clarity that comes from hearing and obeying the Lord.

If you want this power of God in your life for yourself ... all it takes is complete commitment to growing closer to God and walking with Him: Read, Read, Read and Study the Bible; Pray Without Ceasing ... talk with God everywhere; Listen to massive amounts of the best Christian worship music you can and sing to Him; Confess All Your sins and Repent; Ask God to Reveal Himself to you in a powerful way. But don't do it flippantly. You have to truly be long term committed to God to actually expect Him to answer you, because He said that He wouldn't honor the insincere or the easily changing mind. He fills me often. And He teaches me secrets which have been hidden for thousands of year; and He wants to do the same for you !!!

They go through steps to help and speak about key words for a night like guilt, shame, anger, love, loneliness and hundreds more. Then each person shares. After a few meetings you begin to see the time goes fast, the hope comes to last and it’s for personal growth you see. But yet by the very something you may have said turns out to helping me. No criticism nor gossip. Some people visit both. But the Holy Ghost May be more present in a Pentecost or Assembly of God. Most of all in this small book I wrote you, remember (PRAY & Listen to the Bible n Worship music. God will lead and plant 🌱 a seed to grow by quiet thought of what to do n where to go. Cause who could know better for you then the one you seek to know better again. Repent of sin, He awaits You more than you realize.) Tip: I seek the skies that He paints every day and Spring Beauty is about to begin. Thank Him for all you see, that he died for you, Jesus loves you and seeks your time in return, so begin to give it to Him. The revival spoken of here was Extremely Anointed with His presence. Self control is about keeping yourself from sin, not about resisting the power and presence of God so that you stay "dignified" in the eyes of pompous, religious church people. Read your Bible! Even in the Old Testament, when prophets encountered God's presence they dropped to the ground, sometimes like dead men, even "undone" by His Holy Glory. You need to cast off stale, dead religious counterfeit of Christianity and be filled with the Holy Spirit! If you think the power of the one who holds the universe together feels as nothing to a finite human being, you need to get to know God quite a bit better. His love is simply overwhelming and when He pours His love into you by His Spirit, it can be way more physically and emotionally incredible than anything else you have ever experienced. Why in the world would you imagine it should not be this way?? Jesus is amazing, incredible, uncontainable, awesome, so much more!!

Maria Bean not only do you take scripture out of complete context, but you do not know enough of the Bible or the Holy Spirit to prove your point. God didn’t call a nobody like you to criticize and judge other Christians who have obviously done more worldchanging things for God than you or the NAR/NWO conspiracy theorists who slam on Christian ppl because you haven’t experienced God yourself. You read Bible without the Holy Spirit and make Pharisees and Sadducees criticisms and judgments, but miss God from your heart and interpret from your brain and spiritual arrogance/pride.,

God can do anything he wants. I've been in public school and god has protected me countless times in the School building.

Religion is dead works, that's why people are hungry for relationship with Jesus, our God doesn't mind messing up your theology, the Pharisees acted the same self righteous way these people who oppose this revival, they choose comfort to the fire of God(holy spirit) the shakings, the other manefestations are often God's way to deal with pride, so pray, spend time in His presence and you will know this is a real awakening to shake people out of their slumber🙌🏼📖🙏🏼

So why is this a dilemma?

@@_harbinjer hey I got something to share, I felt a gut wrenching feeling in my stomach when that all started, I then heard the words "be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove" "do not submit" "do not believe them"(I figured out who "them" was). "Agree with your adversaries quickly"(I also felt that sooner or later I would have to flee them.) And lastly "GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER"(I knew exactly what that meant because I knew I was in trouble) you won't believe what events have unfolded from then to now..

The Word of God in Jesus Christ is powerfull.When you recieve Jesus Christ and the Word of God once Baptized in the Water and raised out of the water you have the death Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Ya know?? Its a shame, in a world that's teaching our loved hopeless kids to do drugs, violence, every other kind of evil work imaginable, a group of people bring the teaching of Jesus into thier lives bringing them hope and promise of a spiritually drug/alcohol/sex free life. Preaching no sex instead of safe sex(there is no such thing as safe sex). These parents should be applauding these people. I don't understand it. Muslims are allowed to speak their religion and everything is an offense to them but yet your not allowed to talk about the one true living God??? People better wake up. God will eventually get tired of being denied.. I pity people then...

All of these journalists long gone and forgotten and revival keeps breaking out all over the world. The test of time speaks loudest.

So who are you when there is no revival? My Bible says there will be pestilence, famine, earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars, but he who ENDURES to the end shall be saved. You don't need revival, you have the peace and assurance that you have a relationship with God, that's all that matters.

@@gimmedahhcookies4341 I guess the exhortation in Revelation to regain your “first love” then means nothing to you right? Furthermore, who is the judge of who “endured” and who didn’t? You? Does that look a certain way? While there is no doubt that God’s word talks about enduring til the end that has nothing to do with the capability of having revival, we are not robots, we are flawed human beings with free will who are commanded to pick up our crosses daily and follow Jesus. If revival was moot, Jesus would not say that if we sin we have an advocate with The Father….. stop making up theology to try to make yourself feel superior or enlightened.

But you’re more concerned with arguing semantics to make yourself feel more spiritual, that you are willing to overlook or Pooh-Pooh another believer’s efforts to do that very thing because they call it “revival”. Hey….here is some “truth” in return. (since you “gave me some truth”) How about instead of showing off how much you think you can teach the rest of us, you go back to the roots of the Gospel, which is love… like the love one feels when we see a fellow believer long to restore their relationship with the Lord and rekindle a bigger fire than the one they had before regardless of whether they call it “revival” or “potluck dinner”. If recognition and admiration is what you’re needing I’d be happy to draw you a crowd so we can applaud you. Let me know.

I’m a sinner saved by grace, imperfect and flawed and daily restored and reconciled to the Father by grace and forgiveness. You know? It’s kind of a waste of an effort to try to condescend someone by quoting what “YOUR” Bible says, when you don’t know how to interpret context. The verse that you are trying to leverage to make your point has nothing to do with or against revival… it has to do with a body of Christ that is chronically falling away in the end-times, being led astray by liberalism and “woke-ism”. What that scripture refers to is that those who remain true to the REAL and unbastardized fundamentals of the Gospel, the REAL gospel of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus and NOTHING more, will be saved. Again, please stop trying to make yourself out to be some expert on something ESPECIALLY using scripture out of context. ESPECIALLY to criticize the efforts of other believers who choose a word that signifies a sincere desire to re-ignite their passion for Jesus because you can’t find the word in the New Testament. …… I’m assuming you don’t believe in the rapture either because that word is not there either right?

People are hungry for a movement of God in their lives, then & today! God desires relationship with willing hearts/vessels & is still drawing people today. He alone fulfills EVERYTHING all of creation is searching for. All glory to God🙌👏✝️

And YOU understand the move of the Spirit. Be careful...a lot of what happened in this revival was due to the crowd dynamic. If you get hundreds of people in one place, expecting something to happen, it WILL. They will make it come to be!

The church is or possibly under Pastor Horton, who unfortunately inherited the debt of the irresponsible sinner before hand, I went to his services, very well rounded individual, sensibly minded, and actually honest, believes in producing fruit or let's go deeper, believes in character..I don't know what is going on. Now but thar was way back in like 2007 or so ..
