Linda Ronstadt: A taste of home
Singer Linda Ronstadt has always done the unexpected. And now, the woman who admits that she can't cook has put out a memoir that is focused, in part, on traditional Sonoran recipes from her childhood. She talks with correspondent Tracy Smith about her book, "Feels Like Home: A Song for the Sonoran Borderlands."

One of the best and my favorite female vocalist, by far!
Don't even matter if she can't sing like she used to Everyone gets old and dies but she made it to the absolute top, no competition and nothing to prove
The most powerful yet sensitive woman rock singer EVER. Some have tried to sing Ronstadt's songs but they're nowhere close to being in her league. Quit while you're behind, ladies.
Linda Rondstadt is such a gift to the planet!

She was who I aspired to be when I was in my teens back in the 70's. I'd stand in front of the mirror, holding my hairbrush "mic", belting out "Blue Bayou" at the top of my lungs. Lol. Ahhh, memories. Linda, you were the queen as far as I was concerned. I'm sorry for your troubles but know you brought so much joy to so many with your beautiful gift.
Let's all face it: Aging sucks! I have lost 99% of my closest relatives--including my mom over the past 18-years. It's really gotten lonely without them. The holidays are not the same anymore; however, I am still here trying to make the best of a dystopian future in America that none of us saw coming a decade ago. God bless you, Linda. I've always loved your music even as a child of the late 60s-1970s.

Graduated h.s. in '68, USAF late '69-'73. Growing & listening from 1967 through early adulthood to now senior years I was/am in the best demographic to hear and enjoy Linda Maria Ronstadt's music. Thank you LR for a memorable portion of my life's soundtrack.
Thank You for the story. My generation is aging and losing the connection. Linda is ours and we are blessed to have her even today. God bless her.
Glad I'm old. I had a blast growing up with the music that was being made. Linda was fantastic. Thanks for having me and good luck.
What a great role model for aging with acceptance and grace. She looks fantastic and her spirit is high.
One of the all time best. My mother passed away at age 83 from PSP. Linda is in my prayers.
Without question, one of the most beautiful, powerful voices of my generation. And the fact that she has remained so positive and kept her grace and sense of humor in the face of such adversity makes me love her even more. She is a brilliant, remarkable woman!

God, I love her! I'm so going to miss her when she's gone. She's always been my #1 favorite female vocalist...always!! (Dolly & Whitney are very close 2nds). I've always loved her music since I was a little boy and heard Blue Bayou playing on the radio in the car in Scottsdale/Phoenix where I grew up. I would yell at my mom to not change the channel and turn up the volume every time Linda came on the radio. I was fortunate enough to see Linda perform a few times.
Oh My God , Thank You for the update on Miss Linda. I've been wondering how she was doing. Precious Lady with a PRECIOUS VOICE to go along with. NOBODY could sing like that Lady.... Love her.😘😘
Getting old sucks, and having her beautiful voice taken from her sucks even more! She was always such a treat to listen to!
Time passes by so slowly when I was a kid in the 70"s and all sorts of different music was on the radio. That radio was on all day, and I don't know if anyone can remember, it had those old valve tubes in it, and there was a "cats eye"..that started glowing and two round knobs left and right, one to find a radiochannel and the other for vollume. And the sound was warm, clear and full..it filled the room..as did that beautifull distinct voice of Linda Ronstadt....she filled that little backroom ..and we all took it for granted..."yeah sure..that's how one should sing... Blue Bayou"....and my first encounter with her voice was there and then. Little did I know then, how special it was...looking back from the year 2023 (I'm getting on)...I now realise today there are not many singers, if any, who could fill her shoes!!
