Nope. Every white rapper should expect those questions and should be able to answer them. When you not only co-opt an ethnic style like hip hop (like Eminem), but also satirize it, and you're a rich white Jewish kid, you need to be able to explain yourself to the poor black kids in Harlem who're doing the same thing. You need to explain to them that yes, you are co-opting their culture, but you're doing it respectfully, and you're truly paying homage to the greats who've come before you. And that you truly respect the movement of black people wanting to continue to push our music and culture forward, without having to be shot in the street by police just for being black and "rapper-like". This kid is rapper-like, but since he's a white Jew he'll never have to face that fear. That's a reality worth discussing.

when he was talking about his OCD manifesting in different ways, it took me back to his tv show when Emma told him ¨I have never met anyone that obsesses over the smallest things like you do¨ or something like that, I guess thats where that line came from. They paid such attention to the details in this show. It's amazing.

It's interesting to see this guy Dave talk about life and music and his experiences....and the hosts focus on his skin color and religion. It's as if they think they got him pegged and know everything they need to know about him solely based on his appearance. Can't get anywhere in life holding yourself down to social norms and stereotypes. Everyone's human and has their own journey.
