He had a faulty blade as some parts can be faulty from time to time, but the gatherer gave him a good blade, but you're right they should've paused the show, and maybe the leader could've said something such as, "let me fix that for you."

The CM doing the main show didn’t seem to notice but I doubt they’d pause the show for something like that. It took them little to no time to come swap that blade out and for him to jump right back in. Also props to that CM’s performance when I finally got to build mine the main person was so robotic. This guy is probably living the dream for every group coming through. You can totally hear it in his voice.

The kembe’s (the ones leading the show) are actually character performers and the rest of us are merchandise CMs (I work in savi’s). They are fantastic not only in their acting ability but their ability to improvise. Because at the end of the day, it’s interactive theatre and sometimes things don’t go as planned which requires adaptation. They’ll jump in sometimes and help with the building, but for the most part it’s their job to entertain and our job to make sure the sabers are working!

Mine didn't turn on at all during it, my heart skipped a beat. The cast members came over right away helped me and even after they checked it out, they had another cast member double check it before leaving that area and apologized. Not sure with all the music and voices that they can wait or stop?? They continued as well when mine didn't work. Such a great experience to do together, sorry that happened to your kiddo.

He had a faulty blade, fortunately he got it replaced with a good blade. Sometimes at Savi's you might end up with faulty parts unfortunately but if you let them know they will replace them for you. I saw a video of this one guy at the finale in Savi's where his lightsaber kept switching off and on, but they fixed it for him.

It’s a learning experience.

The fact that it cost so much for a ticket on top of the massive price to make your own lightsaber, and they cant even get parts that actually work is completely ridiculous and unacceptable.

If you ever go to Disneyland/World purely for this experience and you don't bother to make an appointment because THEIR WEBSITE SAYS THEY TAKE MF WALK-INS, you will be sorely disappointed. Sincerely, a dude that did exactly that.

Bro if this is how my first experience there went and it was like one of my old sabers that had that light problem I’d be so butt hurt.

There’s nothing he could do about it, the lightsaber workshop is technically a performance so he doesn’t want his kid screaming during the workers monologue, and he immediately looked for a worker…

They werent gonna pause the show for that man. They have to keep everyone moving because lets face it, time is money for Disney. Its good they fixed it, but you can forget "extra" anything, especially from Disney.

i think that a light saber like that could actually be pretty neat. having the bottom part not there but the rest of it there could mean you could easily get out of a blade lock, or dodge a light saber trying to hit yours

I'm not saying it's the best saber you could buy, but having the saber customisation really makes it truly yours and unique. Also, you can use these sabers in Jedi Fallen Order, which really helped the immersion of the game.

The Kyber Crystal couldn't handle the sheer amount of force flowing through the kid.
