Lightbar Highlight: Code 3 Force 4 XL

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is a short demonstration of my Code 3 Force 4 XL. This is one of two bars that I've ever gotten that was completely clean and ready to go as soon as I got it. I love the old sealed-beam rotators, and this one is no exception. Notice on the outer-most rotators, that each one has a white lamp and a red lamp. This is because the endcaps of the bar are clear.
No lightbar shown in this video are for sale.

Great bar! I own and have owned many similar ones, they're great. This is NOT a Force 4, though: the Force 4 naming was something Code 3 put out to signify free form parabolic rotators in a lightbar. Yours has sealed beam rotators, which means it's just a Code 3 XL, which happens frequently due to people swapping domes and whatnot. Also, the front-facing oscillating lights are called Stingers. Stingrays are multifunction free form rotators.

Awesome bars. This one is a Code 3 XL 9000 Series. The Force 4 XL 5000 Series had independent parabolic rotators.

I didn't notice the red bulbs. These bars has some cool options like NightProbe and SelectAlert. I got into the business two years before these and the SD 2000 Series were discontinued. My heart sank when I opened the new price book and they weren't in there. 😢 I still wish I would have invested in a truck load of parts for them. I was really angry when Britax bought Code 3. When they took over you couldn't even get parts diagrams any more.

A lot of fire trucks in my area used to use this bar. Great demo. Does this also have amber flashers on the rear?

I hope to own a all red one that’s what was on my dads first patrol car in 1990 except his had white take downs and amber wig wags on the back I think it’s sad that our sheriffs department went to the terrible looking interior lights. I personally hate interior lights.

Interior lights certainly serve several purposes. It helps in clandestine operation, as well as resale value.
