I think light did ok. He baited out luigi cyclone more than I've seen anyone do. I honestly think you could shine spike luigi for free since missile is so laggy at the end.

Jacket he played the matchup well but Luigi is a terrible matchup for fox if the skill levels are even, luigis frame data on aerials snuff out fox rushes and huge out of shield whiff punishes and cyclone forces fox to play uncomfortable the whole game, I used to spam shine spike against my friend who is a Luigi main, missle laggy but so is the damn hit box, it’s a good cheese every once in a blue moon though if they try to recover deep below you

Dom Gaar fox is also very shield pressure with aerials, making fox's death percent consistently below 90% bc of up b oos. it goes both ways. luigi wins the matchup

Light is just too damn aggressive. Can't win them all like that. Didn't adapt at all to the tornadoes and on top of that fox weighs as much as a paper clip.

no light got sent to losers and this helped me a lot in fox matchups when I'm luigi since u basically got to wait for him

Light played so slow and well game 1 but he got antsy for the rest of the set. Should've kept it calm and cool

After Game 1 I did not see the set unfolding like that. Fox' first 2 stocks of Game 2 were nutty. Good stuff to Light but it seems like Elegant tightened up super hard and Light didnt have any good answers, maybe he got tilted?

Kyle Anderson Obviously. Fox his combos arent true, Luigi is incredible toxic to fight because of certain moves, his down b being one of them. Imagine a toxic kit that also hard counters your character. + Fox takes an insane amount of skill while Luigi doesnt, thats just another factor that tilts "he wins tho hes so much worse than me"

Is it me, or is light looking a little flat? That looked like the last five foxes I played in elite... fast fall back air with dashes and grabs mixed in sparingly. And no ledge guard to be seen 🤔

SpongeRob Fox literally cannot edgue guard. Play Fox for a bit and youll see why "Light was looking a little flat". Hes a garbage character and Luigi forces him to play a certain way

Using fox for this matchup is like using a hammer to fix a car. (NOT THE RIGHT TOOL)

Elegant exploited a serious mistake Light was making. He kept punishing how aggressive Light was with down B. If light had been able to reel it in and respect it, then I think he would have won.

Sebastián Alonso López Aldana just gotta be patient and realize you can’t go crazy with combos in this matchup. When juggling, know that Luigi will be looking to go for a frame 3 nair or a cyclone which is invincible on start up. Also don’t be afraid to camp with lasers. Luigi has trouble approaching so don’t make it easy for him to get near you.

TQ BD the playstyle difference. Just cuz the best fox lost to Elegant doesn’t mean any other fox has no chance. Look at Marrs vs Paiserman. He’s clearly not the best Fox and yet he beat Marrs unlike Light. You can’t just say that the best player of “this character” lost doesn’t mean other players have no chance to win

Fox Cant handle luigi's mu. Due to luigi's strong aerials. The only thing élegant dis was to attack in every fuckin situation and it s stupidly working. I respect elegant but luigi s is kind of stupid

@Antim8ah in bracket at least, he always seems to prevent other players from advancing on. But once they beat him, it seems like that player can go on and pose a threat to the other top players, if that makes sense.

really frustrating to not be able to recover as luigi too... there's a reason every top player puts him at mid tier or lower. and in a game where most neutral is played in the air or by spacing, having a slow ranged grab isn't exactly something that's super broken, unless you're little mac

is that you You used his recovery as a major reason as to why hes "mid tier or lower" while Fox is infamous to die every single time hes offstage but youd still put him top tier? Gtfo, casual. The reason Luigi is "not good" is because his insanely limited mobility. If they gave him just a little more aerial drift and accelaration speed hed instantly be god tier. If they gave him a good recovery literally nothing would change. Also, in this mu specifically Luigi was always able to recover because Fox literally cant edgue guard, doesnt that make him high tier according to your logic?

TQ BD actually no, but in this match up, he isn't as affected by his mobility as much as a more zoning character. if you're really arguing that luigis recovery doesn't hinder him, and also that it's better than fox's idk why you wasted your time commenting. a huge reason luigi is low on the tier list is bc of the matchup spread. zoners and camping characters destroy luigi bc of his limited mobility, and it makes neutral difficult against a lot of characters with spacing tools. fox isn't much of a zoner, and both play close ranged and so low air mobility doesn't play a huge role in the fight. if you'd like me to discuss every single pro and con of luigi and my explanation of why he's in the middle of mid tier on my tier list, read up on smashboards or join to luigicord, not a short comment about his grab on youtube, "casual". sincerely, luigi main Dad? If Luigi had any mobility he would be broken. Against Fox that one thing they took away from Luigi (mobility) doesnt matter. Do you understand? Same with Chrom. "Chrom would be a top 5 character if he had a real recovery" Fox cannot exploit his recovery which means he is basically fighting a top 5 character. You low IQ individual.
