Best SSBU match I've ever seen. It felt like the old Ally vs Elegant back in sm4sh, which was my favorite match up. As a Sm4sh Mario main, this match alone is making me buy a switch. I used to think Mario was thrash at this game.

@@chrisnguyen2316 I see that he has the same game plan, but the shorter hitstun of this game makes his combos way harder to pull off. I see people breaking out of his classic up air combos constantly. And he appears to have fewer kill options with a nerfed back throw and down air (up B is more powerful though). I don't know, it just seems like every character's frame data and movement has improved a lot due to the new mechanics, which seems to play against Mario. But prodigy proved to me that he still has a good neutral and combo game, it's all about spacing, good timing and being fast enough.

Someone please explain this to me: Can you shield Luigi's grab? Because the plunger head becomes a projectile? Because I am confused at whats going on at 6:22 when Luigi grabs but Mario shields it. Is it because Luigi started the grab in the air?

When he is in the air as he performs it, it becomes a projectile, regardless of whether you land with it or not. If you are on the ground, it just becomes a regular grab.

I feel like Elegant was playing sloppy this game. Used to seeing more fluid movement and less whiffs. Not to discredit Prodigy! Dude's a mad lad with that Mario.

It's not really that viable since DI is a big factor. That's why Elegant tried twice (I think) and one time he just messed it up.

Elegant plays really solid but his big weakness is getting kill thirsty. He just spams the tornado and prays or gets too aggressive instead of playing neutral safely when it resets to it.
