Omg, thank you so much for this one! I just replaced the knobs on my flashpoint stand. I’m so glad I didn’t have to buy a new one! It lasted maybe a year with the original knobs. I’d recommend to everyone to start out with the replacements. They are so much easier to tighten than the originals. I use an xplor 600 on it and it’s quite heavy. It wore the original knob/bolt out pretty quick.

Thanks a good review. Thing I like about cheap Chinese stands is that they are quasi disposable eg if trashed in salt water. But, no doubt about it the Manfrotto are much nicer, better built and size for size, load capability etc lighter/stronger IMO but main downside is cost. I bought 3 of the Manfrotto you show, but in smaller size "baby" version. Not much cost saving, 4 or 5 sections from memory, so still goes reasonably high, folds flat to a shorter length (specs spech are online). I do like that I can stack (they clip) together. Footprint is less unwieldy in a smaller location, but best to sand bag or ground-anchor outside with cord and tent pegs/pins etc. I'm mentioning because if folk don't know they are a reasonable alternative, but expensive. For my use case I really love the stacking feature as it's less bulk and easier to carry 3 clipped together without needing a separate bag/case.

Thank you for the video, i don't have yet a light on the stand i bought, but i am using an lamp with my improvise green screen studio that is part of my bedroom. One day i will have a better light and put it on the stand i bought thinking had a light in the box of it. Sorry my english, is just my second language.

I have the Manfrotto 12’. It’s normally used when I’m on uneven surfaces or outdoor where wind might be a problem, especially when mounting my 600. Flashpoint 9’ should be a nice upgrade from my cheap, non air cushioned, wobbly 7’ Manfrottos. Great Real Estate Point of View demonstration.
