    How do you feel about two AD200 P’s vs an AD200 P + AD 300 P? I love the AD200 Pro but feel I struggle in larger spaces with just having one, and would like to consider a more versatile setup.

    Thank you very much, you saved me from buying an ad600. I guess it's normal to think about going for the biggest and most powerful when you feel your speedlight isn't doing enough.

    So i have all the gear i need now but I just need a little practical guidance to get going soon, curious which of your books to get. It looks like there's some overlap between interiors, lighting and flambient books.

  • @NathanCoolPhoto
    @NathanCoolPhoto5 күн бұрын

    If you're just starting out I'd recommend one of two options: First, the pro interiors course covers topics from all three of the books you mentioned (and other material) in progression at prointeriors.nathancool.com Second, you can consider starting with the interiors book, which covers initial basics at amzn.to/4fEIdtf Note that the courses are much more in-depth and cover a wider range of topics than any individual book. Also my courses come with RAW files, and being enrolled in my courses gets you 50% off private sessions with me.

    I use a AD300 Pro and AD200 Pro for 95% of my REP. I have a Godox V1 S, if I need it. Haven't shot a house where I needed a AD400 yet, but might pick on up this year just in case.

    Do you really need a high power light? Wouldn't it cause a color cast if the light is bouncing around? I usually just use a speedlight

  • @NathanCoolPhoto
    @NathanCoolPhoto5 күн бұрын

    Yes. A speedlight can't do it all. If you flash properly you will get little to no color cast, even when using bigger lights and multiple lights. These are things I over in my course on pro interior photography, here's a link if you'd like to check that out: prointeriors.nathancool.com

  • @NathanCoolPhoto

    Some speedlights come with their own single batteries nowadays. For those that use AA I'd recommend rechargeable.

    Does AI noise reduction (topaz or LR) give a percentage when run through this program or does it just detect AI objects/background?

  • @NathanCoolPhoto
    @NathanCoolPhoto6 күн бұрын

    At the moment I don't believe so. But look below the results and you can scroll through the "classes" that were used in the test (the detection components). As new classes/components are added I'm sure that may be included; if, however, it's deemed as an AI threat. You can learn more about that and how it's currently being used by Netflix, Visa, and Reddit at thehive.ai

    This is pretty timely as I just got a request to add a pool/entertainment area on a 4.4 million dollar house I shot. There is a large dirt area between the guest house and the main house. They had planned on building a pool/entertainment area if they were going to stay. If I add this area in there can it be added to the MLS with a note in the description, may have to research this. Thanks for the great video!

  • @NathanCoolPhoto
    @NathanCoolPhoto10 күн бұрын

    Great! As to your question: Adding images to the MLS, and any legal issues, is the responsibility of the listing agent. So if a client asks for image with edits, it's their responsibility to make sure the image is used appropriately. Oftentimes, agents will ask to add text at the bottom of the image stating "Concept Image". While that is often stated in MLS rules, each MLS is different.

    so why would a buyers agent even show a house to their client, if there is no commission involved on a particular listing??

  • @NathanCoolPhoto
    @NathanCoolPhoto10 күн бұрын

    Exactly my point, sort of. ☺ But, it is negotiable. For instance, a seller could allow a 1% commission to a buyer's agent with the motivation that more agents will show their home (something that's always existed). But, if a seller offered no commission, then other agents won't be motivated to show a home unless the buyer would agree to compensation (on that form I circled in yellow). And this is the crux of the issue: as it becomes more difficult for agents who primarily represent buyers, the market shifts to seller-centric transactions, which in turn, as I explain in the video, becomes a boon for real estate photographers.

    Great summary as always - Thanks, Nathan! We in smaller non-urban markets - very noncompetitive by the way - have ALWAYS been working exclusively and directly for listing agents and commercial firms, so don't anticipate any significant change to RE photography in the foreseeable (crystal ball - Ha) future. Maybe I am missing something here.

  • @NathanCoolPhoto
    @NathanCoolPhoto12 күн бұрын

    Thank you! As to your question: at the most common denominator, markets are markets: they just have different scale. All markets will be affected by these changes, just in varying degrees. And although I also (as mentioned in the video) target listing agents and commercial firms, those clients will (at some level of scale) be soon to compete against other agents vying to get listings versus just representing buyers. It's a win-win either way, just at different levels of scale depending on various things; in your case, geographic markets.

    Hi Nathan, I would like to ask you about the remove tool, after the recent update for Photoshop I have been trying to use it but it's not working, instead of removing, it draw on it multiple colourful dots 😢😢 any idea why, I uninstalled it and reinstall again but the same, it's on both Beta and normal photoshop. Thanks

  • @NathanCoolPhoto
    @NathanCoolPhoto17 күн бұрын

    If you have a beta version of PS installed, you should completely remove it as it can interfere with production releases. Do a complete clean uninstall of PS Beta and PS (and any other Beta versions of Adobe products you have installed). Restart your computer and reinstall an official release of PS and see if that works.

  • @NathanCoolPhoto
    @NathanCoolPhoto17 күн бұрын

    Thanks! To your question: It doesn't matter, this works for any color or darkness of the frames, curtains, etc. The principle is in how Darken blending mode works based on what layers are detected below it. This video helps photographers new to RE so much. There are so many videos, reels, etc. that promote HDR as a time saver, money saver, and so on by outsourcing the editing. Then when you try to find them do a video on editing in HDR, they seem uncomfortable with it because it’s been awhile for them to do it themselves. Not to mention they glance over key steps to make it seem faster. Overall, I think both are viable and clearly accepted by the customer, but if you care about knowing every detail of the RE photo process, this video is perfection.
