I’ve always theorized that before the wheel was created time was linear and had no pattern, inevitably creating chaos and entropy. Possibly resulting in the heat death of the universe. To combat the chaos and entropy of unbridled time the creator looped time into a cyclical pattern called the wheel of time. Drilling the bore almost unraveled the pattern sending time back into chaos.

Very interesting. So you're theorizing that the "Creator" didn't actually create the world or the people? Just the concept of cyclical time and binding those things to the cycle? I actually really like that idea!

There are no beginnings or endings to the wheel of time. I think it's important to think of the authors influences. Static state theory that was pretty prominent before current quantum physics models were developed.

@@hashgar4762 Steady State theory was disproved in the 60’s although that doesn’t mean Steady State v Big Bang isn’t analogous to what we are postulating. Interestingly Steady State does propose that there are no beginning or ending to time.

Listening to these just makes me want to do another reread. Highest quality WoT videos out there.

I always thought that the wheel ensures balance, in order to allow mankind(and ogierkind) to choose it's fate. Evil and good both exist in humanity always, and as long as fate is balanced, it is our choice between them that dictates the world good or evil

Fantastic video, nice job!

I always thought the creator was neither good or evil. We perceive him as good due to our want for a creator to be all good, but The Dragon is the light of the yin/yang symbol, not the creator. The dragon is the opposite side of the coin from the dark one, not the creator.

It's definitely possible. Maybe, like the Pattern, the Creator is also "neutral." Hmmm... This is why I stated "the Creator is 'said' to be good, the Dark One evil." I suppose we don't really know for sure.

I see it as dualism , the creator is also the dark one. Yen & yon. Rand is the center of both, being yin in yang and yang in yin. that counter flips the pattern. Causing either light or dark to take presidence. Like pedaling a bike. You can't have balelence, there always has to be a give and take constantly.

The Dark One has a better Promoter/Agent!

I am pretty sure that The Creator and The Dark One are the same entity. The Creator cannot resist his creative nature and fabricates the Wheel, instantly getting constrained by his very creation, bound by time and matter themselves. With many aeons passing, the imprisoned Creator, being a very active force, strives for freedom and basically becomes a Lovecraftian disintegrative "mad god".

What gives me additional conviction, is Brandon Sanderson's statement that "The same voice spoke in all caps in the series". So, I guess, the Creator's words from the "Eye of the World" ("I WILL TAKE NO PART", etc.) and the Dark One's more frequent speeches come from one fractured godhead.
