The book is much more detailed. The plan is basically a sith and his twi’lek slave (who he likes) walk in to ram some explosives into the Jedi temple on courascant, as a symbol of triumph of some “negotiations” happening between two sith and their apprentices, and two Jedi and their padawans. Turns out it was a trap all along. I’m only halfway through the book, so I can’t tell what all happens next. It’s called “Star Wars, Old Republic: Deceived”

What I always found really scary about Darth Vader was that while hooked up to permanent life support, breathing through a ventilator, probably eating through a tube, all while burdened by the weight of a metal mechanical body... he still is a formidable unstoppable force.

@@jasonnothingatall53 I heard rumors George Lucas originally intended for him to be the primary/secondary antagonist of the sequel series. THAT would have been AWESOME! Seriously, both the extended universe and the original idea seemed like really cool, especially when compared with what we got. Don't get me wrong, I kinda like the sequel series, but it does not bear comparing to the originals, or even the prequels in my honest opinion. The words "wasted potential" definitely come to mind, I especially wish they expanded more on (the concept of) Finn.

Jedi by their nature are supposed to be facifists. basically they want to use as little force as possible for a least damaging result. not necessarily what you want in a miltiary role they find themselves in. The Sith are different. Take Sideous for example. he can and does effortlessly demolish people with force power alone, yet still uses the lightsaber. he uses it in fights he barely puts effort into. he's basically screwing around. my take is that Sith aren't any more pragmatic with the force. they enjoy screwing around and drawing things out it seems. I mean I could be wrong. might just be because it's iconic and live action it's easier and cheaper to CG sword fight than constantly throw people around and render good lightning or other effects.

@@TGPDrunknHick correct! Maul was focused though and truly just ruthless. Some Force Wielders, like Sidious, are far more adept with the Force and others are more capable with a lightsaber. Really though, a focused and trained Sith (seasoned like Maul) can be a detriment to a small army on their own (as we saw). Addendum: Plus he has spent a lot of time training to be a versatile tool for Sidious. He knows what he's doing.

@@TGPDrunknHick there was a trilogy about Darth Bane, i believe, that went over why lightsabers were used. the tldr was that an all out force battle could drain you too much for just one opponent. the lightsabers were a way to try and trip up or put an opponent on the defensive. this cornered the opponent into either focusing on the force battle and dying to the lightsaber, or focusing on their form and dying to the force battle.

*In conclusion:* We need a full out jedi v sith war scene with badass rock covering it on the big screen

Its so interesting what a score can do for gaming and movies. The way that John Williams writes his score is the big epic that conveys that this battle is massive yet very sad on a similar scale. Then you add Mick Gordon to the mix and my god the feeling is just pure argent energy throughout the entire fight. The thing that makes Doom 2016 & Doom Eternal soundtracks so appropriately epic is that they weren't written like metal songs being used as a game soundtrack. They were written like a game soundtrack using metal instruments. Intent is inherent in the product and it shows.

A lot of the typical metal tropes aren't present. No screamo. Blast beats are selective. A beat that grooves. Synth. Feels more like late 90's or 2000's. Meant to be heard by the general public. Most metal is aimed for a niche crowd.

It's one of those rare people who know exactly how to get the feeling across, I'm willing to bet he cried several times making the ost because of the energy coming from it, the shit is so intense and those build ups plus rifts just make my muscles tense up, it's insane. I payd 60 for the OST at this point

1:30 is one of the coolest scenes I've ever seen. The music goes insanely well with the jedi and sith running toward each other, weapons drawn. Amazing.

The Darth maul hallway scene is so brutal and epic! He didn't even have to but he still cut that troopers arm off with the door! Absolute unit!

@@demonderpz7937 Star Wars The Old Republic was the game. The trailers and dialogue as well as story are way better than the game play. It plays in a Star Wars way that is similar to WoW. Addendum: I would still play though, but my PC can't run the game. Gonna build one. Better. Stronger. Fueled by the Force.

I find it funny how in the first clip a Green saber wielder was able to hold his own for a good amount of time against perhaps one of the most powerful sith

The first one, the the Darth Vader one fits in so well, like it was meant to be there

Honestly Darth Maul in season 7 of the clone wars was like... the definition of what a person can do with the force, he even went easy on them as it seemed, plenty of opportunities for even more brutal deaths for the clones. Maul just pushing through the ship without a weapon is great to me.

I like how laser guns here immediately worsens your aim tenfold.

Dang biggest expose I’ve ever witnessed

The Jedi and The Sith, a clashing of ideologies and laser swords. On one side, its the logic, cold and indifferent, always in control, and on the other, its the emotion, hot and unpredictable, always one moment from a rampage.

I think it adds intensity to that first scene with Darth Vader accenting the soldiers desperation. The Darth maul scene just became comical tho. Don't know how much it helped the anikins obi wan scene. Was already epic

Hard question... Slayer's suit is ALMOST imprevious to any damage, but the plasma n weapons of demons is no lightsaber with argent which can in the small ball create enough to sustain the whole planet of ours, so just like mandalorian he may die only if hit in his open throat, which he doesn't have just like arms exposed w Doom 2016 suit. Obviously as any demon even smallest can punch a hole in the wall which we have seen imps and soliders do in the Eternal levels, and he can take a lot of these while being wall-punchy himself, he is durable enough to witstand some time against the force as the bigger the object the harder to out it down by foreuser, and as he's tough i'tll be no easy task but still while saber can't harm him (if he wears his Doom 4 armor ofc), he still is hard to force-crush or choke, but force ignore the toughness. Another thing is he's ain't easy to catch and may close the gap in the distance before Vader put his hand on him which is required. Depends also on the battle conditions

Its really hard to put Maul in any scene without it at least being some amount of brutal. Maul is a vicious dude.

I love when the clones start pre firing before maul turns the corner, pure strat

I love how in that maul in the hallway scene, limbs just come off like lego peices. Edit: lmao that's my only critique of the final few episodes.
