Light and Circadian Rhythms | Sarah Morgan | TEDxStanleyPark

Indoor lighting sucks and it’s adversely affecting our health. Sarah Morgan is the CEO of Nano-Lit Technologies - www.nano-lit.com/. This company is leveraging Sarah’s Masters Thesis in LED lighting and Biomimicry and applied commercial manufacturing experience to use Quantum Dots to emulate the changing color temperatures of sunlight in office environments. Her previous role as a Lecturer in Industrial Design focusing on product for use by Astronauts on the International Space Station won her a Teaching Innovation award. Sarah has served on the New York Board of Directors of the Industrial Design Society of America. She can be reached at sarah@nano-lit.com This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Powerful, convincing and compelling... thank you Sarah! I personally experienced the extraordinary benefits of more light when I took up marathon running. My 'get outside' time increased exponentially, along with my quality of life. Wonderful talk, bravo!

I see implications for educational settings as well. The impact of a cloudy ☁️ day on students and teachers is huge. This application could change the atmosphere of a classroom. I love how you have integrated life science, technology science, atmospheric science, and planetary science.

When I reached out to this speaker to learn more about their product her reply was So weird and unhelpful. Though this sounds like an interesting therapy, I would not recommend the firm she works at or her.
