Lifted Jeep Gladiator on 37” Tires Off-Road | Built2Wander

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A good friend of Collin’s from Ohio picked up a brand-new Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and brought it out to 3D Off-Road for some upgrades. DJ turned to Built2Wander to help devise a plan to add some serious off-road capability to his Jeep Truck without compromising on-road performance since this Gladiator will be his daily driver. We convinced DJ to head out to Moab, Utah for the annual Easter Jeep Safari with us after building his truck so that we could show him the ropes of rock-crawling and get him comfortable with the limits of his new Jeep Gladiator on 37” Nitto Trail Grapplers.

In this episode, we highlight all of the components that went into DJ’s Jeep Gladiator Rubicon build, including a 3.5” RockJock 4x4 Suspension System, Bilstein 8100 series Bypass Shocks, 17” KMC Beadlock Wheels, and 37” Nitto Tire Trail Grapplers. The goal was allow DJ to conquer some of the more technical off-road trails in Moab, UT and comfortably drive across the country back to Ohio with zero concern for failures. Our trip to Moab for Easter Jeep Safari turned out to be exactly what DJ needed to learn the ropes off-road and the limits of his new Jeep JT build on 37s!

Hands-down, one of the best builds ever. You’ve inspired me to add NITTO 37”s on my jeep and the Apex valves. I went with the EVO lift kit since my jeep will be mainly used off-road. Thank you so much for this amazing video!

Not a fan of 3.5 back space to far Away which scrub radius is terrible but also wears a 44 axle ends , but I know it was done for ease of a quick build with fenders in mind plus a lot of other. It I would not recommend long term use unless babied

You said 3.5" offset, but I think you meant backspacing.... At that backspacing... I think that is -30mm of offset? Doesn't that put a lot of stress on the axles/balljoints? I love the look, but I worry about undue stress (i'm currently building mine....trying to decide on wheel offset).

Guys i got a question. So I have a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Sport S with an ecodiesel motor. I have a 2" mopar lift kit on it and i have installed rubicon fenders so i have more space between the wheen and the fender to allow me to put bigger wheels. Question is because my jeep is not a rubicon and doesn't have the same gearing, what would i need to do to run 37" wheels? I really dont want 35's. If anyone knows, please let me know.

Love the build and the video. I have a 2021 JL Rubicon that’s been bone stock for a year now. I’m struggling with doing a lift and tires due to our current gas prices and circling down the drain economy. Our gas prices are going to be up even more! Does anyone else have these same concerns?

  • @Built2Wander

Thanks for the positive feedback & for taking the time to watch! This was a concern of DJs as well and the reason we stuck with 37” tires. His Diesel Gladiator was averaging roughly 20MPGs after the build was complete and that was before doing gears, which we anticipate will help improve that number.
