    I picked up a front receiver hitch for mine and I was looking at your front splash guard and noticed you no longer have one. I think a winch on a removable cradle for a two inch receiver so it can be used front or back would be a good idea. Flat out suspension is very expensive to me.

  • @RenegadeHQ

    @RenegadeHQ

    2 жыл бұрын

    Ya I’m looking at winch ideas for sure! Also, due to the abuse I put the suspension through I think it makes sense. 3 yr warranty and only $125 to rebuild. In 1.5 yrs I went through the stock struts with more moderate off roading. If I replace the struts 2 times I would spend almost as much as purchasing them, and the 3rd time replacing struts I would save money. I hope that made sense. Haha. They aren’t for everyone but they definitely help the ride! I absolutely love them and feel way more stable!

    Hey bud quick question, I just got my Flatout suspension and am doing the install. If I’m only planning on lifting the truck about two inches do I need to get camber bolts for the front end?? I see some people not using them at all. And others using them for alignment.

  • @RenegadeHQ

    @RenegadeHQ

    Жыл бұрын

    I think with only a 2” lift or shorter it’s whatever you decide. I would use them just to make sure when I took it or there were no excuses to be able to align it. That’s just my opinion though.

    Hey do you wheels still rub at full lock? I’ve done a ton of cutting and pounding but still rub at full luck. Is this something that’s always gonna happen or do you have any recommendations on how you eliminated that entirely? Did having spacers help? I have no spacers on mine. I’m running the same tire size and 2” lift

  • @RenegadeHQ

    Appreciate the support bro! I had the 3” lift, no spacers, I did not rub. I cut a lot thought. There is a video on the playlist called “renegade”. Check that out I’d you haven’t. Also make sure your struts are good… if they need to be replaced you’ll definitely rub.

    @@issacissac1327 3” suspension lift is the highest you can get before axels start binding. If you cut the wheel wells then you can fit some November tires (33”) to give you a bit more clearance. I had it lifted 6” for like a day then had to replace my axles. Haha. I love Flatout suspension because I offroad a bunch. And it’s more comfortable and cost effective then getting OEM struts. Weak point on the Ridgeline is the tranny cooler inside the radiator. Friend of mine had a 2006 and the connection broke inside the rad and flooded the tranny with coolant and destroyed. I love mine don't get off the beaten path with it but wouldn't be to concerned.

    Great summary with costs of all your upgrades. Looking forward to watching your next trek in the lower 48 when you test it all again in a different environment and loaded up with gear. Did you ever try to mount that spare tire in the bed on the passenger side where there is a threaded mount (behind a small plastic cover) just for this purpose? I know due to the larger tire the mount won't line up but it seems like one could use a piece of steel bar with a hole on one end for the stock mounting point and the other end tapped and threaded to line up with the center of your wheel. This might open up your view a little more when looking out your rear view mirror.

  • @RenegadeHQ

    @@RenegadeHQ I'd try the place I suggested 1st, easiest access and only partial visual obstruction and 2nd choice would be on the roof of the cab, out of the way, no visual obstructions, just a loss of MPG and maybe a lot of wind noise at highway speeds?
