Lifetime of Chemicals

I obtained a lifetime collection of chemicals from a retiring fireworks builder. This is a quick look at what I have.

Thats an awesome score on the chemicals, some of them are impossible to come by anymore! I watched all your videos and subbed fireworking by ned. Keep up the videos! Thanks!

I came across a similar deal, got close to 500 pounds if not more of chems. Really good ones. I see you have that rock red gum. I have aboit 10 pounds of it, tried blending it in a bullet blender and it works bit onpy to a point. The red gum gets hot and burny and gunky around the bottom of the blade and dulls it quickly. If you have amy ideas please let me know.

I dont want to sound as "smart guy" just want to mention on usual problems with compounds.Split oxidizers from fuels.Keep bp in plastic bag or paper drum far away from chemicals.Whistle mix store in plastic zip bag, also if you have some left over flash.Any hard container can make shrafnels. When you work on table and make formulas atach some wire on leg and ground it,static can cost you a life.Respect every gram, mostly stupid thing make fire or explosion. So many pro pyrotehnicians lose life last years.Keep going and be safe

Question, I made some granulated bp and it worked perfect launched my shell and had a good break I ran out of bp and made some more and now it sucks I made a much larger batch this last time could I have not let it dry long enough and that’s what’s causing it? If that is the case can I regranulate the bp or do I have to scrap it and start over?

Actually best bp is coming when granulate couple times.Only first time granulate with dextrin, second time just wet bp with pure water and granulate with screen, than leave to dry and repeat process again after two days.Slow bp mean particles are not so fine and not corporated well.Factory bp goes with hidraulic press, and pressing piston to form bp pucks.Check my channel, there is alot interesting stuf

It sounds like it wasn’t mixed enough. Did you ball mill? Have to be careful about trying to do in large batches.

Tarheel Pyro I ball milled it in ten ounce batches for 7 hours and I repeated until I had quiet a bit before I granulated it

Accipiter Nisus I couldn’t find a video on your channel showing how you make your bp. So you said first time around granulate with dextrin second time just water what do you mean? I added dextrin in when I ball milled the mixture so there will always be dextrin in it. When I’m regranulating do I just add water to the granulated bp and work it back into a puddy and then screen it again?

Brady Hilmes did you measure everything out at the same time? After milling did you mix all of the batches together well? That’s the only thing I could think of that would be different.
