LifePo4 Configuration Comparison. 4S2P vs (2) 4S1P, which is better??

Ғылым және технология

High discharge LifePo4 cells with factory bus bars? You're probably limiting your output substantially. With minimal effort, I improved this 8 cell bank's performance by over 50%. Check it out!

I always come back to rhis to prove to myself why i rather just build individual banks an then link em with 2 runs of 2/0. Glad yiu made proof to shut up those who regurgitating BS.

Np at all! I hear so much conflicting info that I decided to just test what I could myself.

Does lithium batteries don't need tapering current or absorption voltage

CC CV charging is recommended. That basically means constant current (say 10a) until the prescribed voltage will no longer cause 10a of current to flow. At that point, the voltage is held at the max value and as the voltage of the battery increases the amount of current slows down. Ohms law says the amount of amps flowing = voltage (or diff in voltage) divided by resistance = max amperage that will flow from the higher voltage source to the lower.

@GloweIndustries figured I would give it a try see how it compares to my 200ah headway bank (currently disassembled and may be for sale 😈) the size comparison alone is separate ends of the spectrum!

@@jeremystover256 you see that superbeast is gone? Used headway cells also spiked 40% in cost as a result. The days of an infinite supply of used headways are ending. You’ll have over 700 amps at 12v with what you purchased, in a footprint smaller than a 64ah headway bank.

@GloweIndustries great time to sell headways then lol I have battery cases, bms, and cells no bars anymore they were expensive and couldn't keep them around not being used. The foot print mainly sparked my fancy! Only running a taramps 15k and JP72 (2k) but wanted headroom in the event I go for a 20 or 30k down the line

Id really be curious to see the performance difference in copper bars.
