Kitorang kene lebih lagi menghargai PD Farriz. Oleh sebab itu, akan lebih baik jika kita sebut: "Farriz macam orangutan". Nape? This video is so refreshing that we finally have a Malay content in Singapore representing our National Language
For our non sporean friends, malay is our national language but the different races study their mother tongue instead, unlike malaysia where everyone has to learn Malay!

Everyone has to learn Malay and English but they can also learn their mother tongue. Chinese Malaysian can speak Mandarin well while knowing various Chinese dialects.

@@HighKrasher I'm wondering if Singaporeans can take more than one mother tongue class? For example, if a Malay wants to learn Chinese in addition to Malay.

@@belle_pomme They can but it’s usually out of curriculum. In school, usually Malay, Mandarin & some Tamil class happens at same time period. So, taking two official languages at same time in school is hard. Any other language class other than English & own mother tongue is usually taken out of curriculum or as elective subject.

Ishak's syllable are Is--Hak, (Issehak if with accent).There's no sh in standard Malay spelling. Kind of weird the name of the national icon is always mispronounced. Also, quite a few times that you used kami instead of kita. Overall, keep up the good work and thank you.

You malaysian just don't understand Singapore education.National language is Malay but Only Malay takes BM as a 2nd language in school where else other races learn their own mother tongue.English is official working language in Singapore so english is a wide spoken language in Singapore.

@tsukasa1608 As our late Lee Kuan Yew said Singapore is NOT a chinese neither malay nor Indian country though chinese is majority in Singapore and priorities more on English language as a official language and still keep the other 3 languages intact for every races in the community.

@@kamariahabdrahim6963 Tapi LKY masih mengakui bahwa Malay ialah penduduk asli Singapura. Jadi itu dia menjadikan Bahasa Melayu menjadi bahasa nasional walaupun itu hanya symbolic saja. Dalam article 152 kat SG constitution pun, Malay mendapat special position sebab statusnya sebagai penduduk asli. Jadi itu secara tidak langsung bahwa LKY mengakui bahwa Singapura itu Tanah Melayu historically.

Warga SINGAPURA akan berkata-kata dalam BAHASA MELAYU BAKU apabila bertutur dalam bahasa Melayu. Itu lebih baik daripada bertutur menggunakan BAHASA ROJAK (B, Inggeris & B Melayu)
Berbicara is bahasa Indonesia, in malay bercakap.

i just got back from a 3d2n batam trip yesterday and istg it was a lil hard communicating with the locals as my friend and I don't speak malay at all. I ordered mcd delivery and the rider called me speaking in bahasa indo and i only caught 2 words "saya...........lobby'', so i just clarified by asking in Eng, 'you're at the lobby now?' and he took like 2 seconds to understand then said, 'yes, lobby' lol

malay and bahasa indo is quite different from the way they speak and form sentences to the tones and everything i struggled taking my malay o level as an indonesian :’)

@@dada-lp6pz i asked my malay friends and they say except for some words, generally they can still communicate w/ the indo locals. so to hear that it's quite different from an Indonesian is a lil surprising for me lol.

@@dorischong2518for me as an Indonesian, I have no problem understanding Malay at all. It depends on where they live I guess since I live on Sumatra island, which is closer to Malaysia and Singapore.

Because its a National Language, but not conversational language. It's not even compulsory in schools. But idk for some reasons, most ministers especially senior ministers can speak in our national language. 😅

Singapore only national language is malay.
So most sporean fail their national language. Speaks singlish (which is not English) well and their national dialect is mandarin but mostly curse in Hokkien. Way to go everybody 👍🏻
