Life with MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES - VLOG! | Switching, Dissociative Identity Disorder & Healing

Dissociative Identity Disorder is a trauma-based Dissociative disorder. It develops in childhood due to repeated trauma and is a widely recognised and diagnosable disorder under the DSM (Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders - this is what professionals use to define and diagnose disorders) and the ICD (International Classification of Diseases - a classification system for all physical and mental diseases produced by the World Health Organization (WHO) used for diagnosis, research, statistical tracking, and other data.)

Their sap is considered poisonous so it's a good thing it wasn't around with the kittens. For anyone interested in a pet-safe alternative, Polka Dot Plants have pink + green leaves and are non-toxic to dogs and cats!

I think it is silly because it was not a conscious choice if your child brain selected various skin tones and cultures, often a positive response to people you knew or or characters you identified with. I am proud to have a diverse system and applaud my brain for it. Children start out as colorblind. I think it is healthy. It sensitive adults who confuse your child brain as an appropriation . Hearing you talk about how suddenly you had multiple functional days and were overwhelmed and overjoyed to do what you want to do… my heart is just swelling for you. Just know that today, all our hearts are so full for you and seeing you make this kind of progress. You’ve survived so long and fought so hard. You’ve always deserved this, but this cruel world decided to make you work for it, earn it. But earn it you did. I hope everyone in the system can take a moment and feel some pride for working together to get things here. You should be proud of yourselves! It's not an easy task to go against trauma and make something as complicated as system communication work. You all have been through a lot, in so many ways, but your hard work is finally starting to pay off. Congratulations DissociaDID! I hope life only gets better for you guys from here ❤️❤️❤️

Firstly, I am so glad you have been listened to by the doctors, as another UK based individual with poor mental health, I know all about not being listened to and relief when it actually happens. I am also glad that things are going well for you, as from what you've shared, you and the rest of the system have been through a lot of trauma and I am proud of all of you for getting through this. Also seeing the perspectives of the littles was wonderful, I also enjoy being around nature so being in a garden centre would be heaven to me.

Things can change. ❤ I suffer with bipolar 1 / PTSD / ADHD and I just stopped my lithium last week bc of the side effects. Today, I have been on the couch all day. It was helpful to hear it can get better and what y’all had to say. I need to get back on it because I do notice how different it is.

This was very cool. I know it’s not every day, but you were able to function and heal a little and that’s just awesome. I appreciate all of your videos, not because I’m a multiple but because you’re just genuine and kind and interesting. Being all of yourself is reality, the learning is what I came for but being you is what I stayed for.

I’m so happy that you had this lovely day in the outside! That’s a huge step, including the super cute additions to your office 🥰 I really appreciate what you said about this video in context and how it’s serving as hope for those still struggling that the work is worthwhile and that it CAN get better. You’re so wonderful, and I’m grateful for your content! Everyone can learn from this, and it was so relaxing to watch the plants and listen to the water of the fountains with you all 💗 Love you!

I'm so glad you're making progress and being listened to by doctors! You do seem so much more energetic and happy, more so than I've seen you since I've been following. Since you are progressing in your agoraphobia and trying to go outside more, would you consider making a video on ways you find appropriate to greet someone who is living with DID? I would imagine if you're starting to be able to go out more it may be beneficial to your feelings of safety if your community knew how to say hello in a way that is safe and comfortable for you or whether you'd rather not be approached if they ever recognize you out and about. Much love and I'm so happy for you for this big step

You all are one of my greatest sources of information about DID and how different systems can function in a day-to-day life. I love getting to see all of the alters living their best lives now - I know that’s got to be rewarding from how hard you’ve all been working on your communication. Keep doing awesome babes

This has been a long time coming. We started watching your content years ago, we think 2019 but you know...amnesia. Your content was almost too relatable and it scared us. I never felt so seen, called out, and understood by someone I've never and will never meet. We stopped watching because your content was honestly triggering but that was because of our host at the times intense denial of anything DID. It was only this year through an incredible friend and professionals who actually listened that we came to begin our acceptance journy. One of the biggest things our previous host used against us for all those years was that other systems don't act like us. We can't have DID because we don't have it correctly. But you stating that even switching can look drastically different sent us into tears of joy. You have educated us, helped us comprehend each other, and made us so much less scared. We will forever be grateful to you and are in awe of your strength and endurance throughout all you have gone through. From, most, of us, Thank you.

Aaa the Littles filming things they liked were so precious!!! 🫶 I still imagine it must be so scary to have them out, but it’s so sweet to see them happy, even if we can’t see their faces! I do find it smart to keep their names and voices and expressions out of the video, though. I can only imagine how dangerous it must be to have Littles exposed to the internet. You guys take great care of your system, even now with Soren as the new host! Love you guys!

This makes me so pleased for you all. We know how challenging med changes can be initially, but it's so good everything is working out for the best. I was given ketamine (in hospital) once for a migraine and it caused rapid switching. I'm so glad my husband was there. We switched 32 times in just 1 hour and we had no control because of the ketamine. The hospital staff just freaked and didn't come near us until the fluids had finished. My husband was pissed. It had made the migraine so much worse and they said we can give another dose of ketamine but my husband told them we were leaving.

So happy for you! Doctors often don't realise that if they listen to their patients, they can change their life. For them the appointment is another 15 minutes of the day, but for us it could be something life changing. It was like that with my psychiatrist and doctor from pain management clinic. They are both awesome and always listen. Finally I can live without constant migraine, it still happens but it doesn't hurt everyday. And what's most important for me in a doctor is when they say 'I don't know, I need to consult with others' because they are human and can't have expertise in everything.

The anti-depressant you were taking, my husband, was on for a long time as well. He maxed out on it as well, and after many meds and different doctors, we found a mood stabilizer and anti psychotic that works for him. Complete 180 and a big difference in everything else. Sometimes, it's a lot of trial and error

Big well done to everyone who helped the system get out and about for this day, I'm sure the littles were so grateful they got to experience such pretty things. When you're next facing a tough day or week where it's so hard and painful to do anything, remember that you managed this and the day will come where you can do it again. Be kind to yourself and proud of your progress. Sending all my love and goodwill!

Hope you continue getting better, I’m super happy for you guys.

And very grateful I’ve been watching and learning as someone close to me has a potential DID/OSDD diagnosis being explored at the moment, and I’d like to support them to the best of my ability, and this channel has been a big part of that :)

Love how you straightforwardly & without embarrassment state/explain your needs, boundaries & the things you can and cannot do, and how difficult some of those are & the accommodations you set up in order to do them {e.g. having other people and plans to get out the house}. It's reassuring and inspiring because we often feel that we are too much, unmanageable, or can't have a life for being sensitive, easily triggered, needing extra support, etc. etc. *We* aren't agoraphobic nor have chronic physical illness, but hearing you explain your difficulties, we were able to understand and empathise, and did not feel a desire to mock or belittle your struggles, but rather felt you deserve the space you need. Soo maybe the people who mock & belittle ours are in the wrong as well.
