Excellent ownership review. Thanks for sharing. Drop dead gorgeous looks with stunning road presence. Hadn't seen a review with this color and I must say, this looks stunning too. The one thing I did not like is the tail lights. I was expecting the fit and finish issues for a vehicle at this budget and you've confirmed with this review 🙂 Currently researching an off roader. And now considering Jimny considering, overall performance, capability and service network. Main reason is the service network does most bits of offroading with hardly a dent to the pocket. I know segment is different.

Red colour on the already good looking car is cherry on top. I hope your Gurkha problems get permanently solved for you to enjoy your road trips.

I have been the owner of of Gurkha bs3, it was full of problem till 15k. Latter it’s gonna be smooth sail. Gear will get smoother. But you will eventually be a mech engineer. Car is the owner of you rather then other way around. Car is capable of tune up to 130hp provided you delete bs6 exhaust system (LNT). It lower tuned to avoid the cost and issues of scr urea system

Sir I did a solo road trip in my safari dicor 3 litre driving from mumbai to kargil army base. Went via Manali and returned via Kashmir. Returned driving Kashmir to ajmer 30.5 hrs non stop and a day rest in ajmer and then ajmer Mumbai one go. Being a 2006 3litre vx top end which came with abs, air bags and reverse camera and lcd screens at that time...all is working till date. Didn't even have to top of coolant after 7.5k kms on return to Mumbai via brutal terrain. But the finish and quality of tata vehicles or new gen is not the same. On my journey...there were new seltos and hr 26 red thar broken down. New thar isn't good. To many electronics. Videos are on my channel. Mid April this year I plan to do Mumbai to hp in My santro xing 2005 . Hope to see you sometime on the road. A red gurkha and UP number plate I'll know it's you. Hope your beast gets well and solid soon.

​@@NomadGurkha the problems are sorted in the 2024 gurkha, glad I waited for some time now its almost perfect to live with just the question mark is why they rmeoved the 4wd gear and gave electronic knob like fortuner.

My personal opinion..... force motors finally came up with a really nice looking vehicle, but handicapped it from the word go, simply because of the engine. The previous 2.2l 140 bhp engine, would have certainly given it a magnificent edge over the thar , but I think Force motors was simply being Penny wise Pound foolish by setting for the older 2.6l de-tuned variant in the bs6 state. Unless a more powerful engine is in the pipeline, all other upgrades will actually mean nothing more than cosmetic improvements. I too am no off-roader. But that doesn't mean I cannot be a spirited driver on the highway from time to time. As a mile-muncher, my vehicle must have adequate grunt. When compared to the older sumo and bolero vehicles, the Gurkha was pitted against earlier, the 90 bhp tune seemed adequate. With it's current pricing being almost in the same vicinity as that of the scorpio n line, thar, harrier, etc, they simply need to up the stakes, for the Gurkha to justify itself as a sensible buy. Even with it's low service centers and distributors, at least the product itself must have certain noteworthy strengths. A 160-180 bhp engine should definitely replace the current one.

📢🔥🔥Its my first day with Gurkha, i had a flat tyre after 60 kms⚰️😒, when approached RSA...they came after 1.5 hrs on bike..."on bike to repair gurkha". No tools on them. Then in my new vehicle there was no wheel socket...so wheel could not be changed. So RSA told they will TOW THE CAR 63 KMS AWAY TO NEAREST SERVICE CENTER AT NIGHT instead of arranging the wheel socket (goti) .4 hrs this kept on happening...sales team...RSA...tow truck...service team. After 4 hrs at 11.30 pm Regional Head himself brought the wheel socket...himself changed my tyre and ensure vehicle was running at 12 pm. Not sure how to react to this. Appreciate the responsiveness of Regional Head Mr Nitesh.📢📢🏆🏆🏆.

I'd rate this the best and honest review shared so far by anybody out there. You mentioned that maybe the new version of Gurkha would be a slightly better but I just checked their website and sorry to say that I didn't find any points that could amaze me. The engine capacity is the same, no improvement on dashboard quality and the tyres are still 16", which I was expecting atleast of 18". Anyways, thank you so much for sharing such an honest video. P.s. Would recommend Gurkha as a very first car to anybody? I mean I never owned a car before, is it okay if I invest in Gurkha as my first vehicle? I belong to Rajasthan. Regards, Rahul.

thank you for the feedback. I would not recommend Gurkha as their first car or a family car. It still needs a lot of refinement. If you are a person who is willing to risk convenience/features for the love of adventure and serious travel - then go for it. The new Gurkha is expected in 2024.

Can you please suggest a SUV for me? I prefer a low maintenance, fuel efficient SUV and plan to have many accessories such as USB supported TV for rear passengers, a SUV that can carry extra luggage, say a folding bench and cookware etc.

Had BS4 Gurkha 5 years. No dealer network, Spares are make to order. No accessories available in market. Only Force Mechanic dare to touch it even for minor repairs.

You mentioned that you are not comparing and just sharing your thoughts. Not sure, may be my wisdom is not that great to understand your video, I personally felt that I am watching a comparison, to be more precise... when pros were discussed. May be I am wrong, but that comparison was missing when cons were discussed. BTW I am one of the wannabe guy who clocked 11k without any hustle. I wish you a hustle free driving 😊

Watched and analysed all your videos. Sad to see the words you used about Thar which is such capable off-roader that it even beats many global behemoths. I can understand some of you guys wanted to look different and don’t like a product which is seen too much on the road but see what you have got, a junk. Good luck selling it for even 5 lacs after the updated Gurkha comes in which will be significantly better.

28k in 11months, I took delivery of the car directly from Indore manufacturing plant, because it is delivered by road to dealership. I fortunately had no issues with the car, I have done driven it extensively. Although agreed, inside plastic quality is not that great.

@@akashpahal176 You can no longer purchase it from the manufacturing plant. You need to find a dealership in Indore and purchase it via them. I got my Gurkha with only 9km on the Odometer and I drove it down my to Hyderabad from Indore. They were delivery few other vehicle to Bangalore and I have seen the way these delivery driver's drive.... horrible

Old Jeep, RD350, Old school Vehicle will always there space reserved by spilling Oil. 😂 They hardly manufacture these vehicles. They could do rigorous quality check

Force motors cares a shit about customer experience and it's reputation as a preferred manufacturer. There are thousands of videos people addressing their complaints yet they keep delivering the same poor quality product. Mahindra is far ahead in RnD and upgrading their products to suit modern times. This car is meant for tough conditions so please build a car with good parts.

8:04 if that is ac coolant.. no problem... if that is oil...what the hell.... om616 engines leak oil from oil drain nut.. they didnt solve the problem yet..... disgusting

Waste of money, purchased Gurkha in October steering oil got leaked next day... The company is not able to rectify.. just a hype created of it..
