Sydney looks just like her mother. Her features aren't out of the ordinary.

I am a therapeutic horseback riding instructor and I have worked with a few children with Angelman syndrome. While they may have impaired communication, I have noticed that they really love to share their happiness with others. A boy I teach had recently learned how to do zippers. It made him so excited that he spent much of his lesson unzipping and then rezipping his vest. It kind of derailed my plan for that lesson, but he was so clearly just trying to share his happiness with me. He was very excited with what he could do and he just couldn't keep his excitement to himself. The only time he ever acts sad is if something is physically wrong.

I have a son with Angel man syndrome and he is now 31 yrs old .. and he was genetically tested when he was two years old. That’s when I found out what he had. We all love him so very much. I hope you have lots of support ❤

I can't imagine the pain that the parents felt knowing that the child and they have to deal with. These and all other parents who have kids with special needs are to be commended for their patience, encouragement and perseverance in raising them, especially during this pandemic!

I work with a young boy who has AS and he is a beautiful child, he has an obsession with water and it is the only thing that calms him down but he is very very special!

@@thejudderman8265 I have read that many individuals with AS have an affinity to water. While special, he also shares traits with other humans in the world :)

Nothing to do with religion

I could never have the patience to deal with this at home. All the credit in the world to you.

Many people with autism have problems falling asleep, gastrointestinal problems, behaviour problems, some have intellectual disabilities and other comorbidities. I wonder if there is a gen there that hasn't been discovered yet.

There are some genetic conditions that can cause or cause autism but autism doesn't seem to come from just one genetic condion so there probably are genes that haven't been discovered and maybe sometimes it isn't even genetic. Makes me wonder if autism comes from some part of the brain that isn't working properly.

Sydney is so beautiful. As a parent of 2 special needs children i kno hope is good to hang onto and the little steps are huge. So celebrate and be happy for any step forward.

Don't give up so quickly. There are many possibilities, and each trial informs future ones. Besides, where OV101 was unsuccessful, OV882 looks promising.

Educate yourself before asking an ignorant question. Angelman Syndrome is a genetic condition and is present at the moment of conception. It isn't caused by a vaccine of any kind🤦‍♀️.
