I really don’t know where to begin, but here goes. Danni and Joe opened their home to me and made my first trip to England an experience I will always cherish. Their warmth and hospitality was so genuine and they went out of their way to make my visit memorable. I miss Joe bringing me my coffee every morning followed with his infamous sourdough toast. Danni made me a Sunday roast on a Thursday so I could experience true food porn. I didn’t know I could consume that much gravy in one sitting! The entire meal was so beautifully prepared. Then on to Buckingham Palace, the horse guards, Big Ben, Hyde Park and collecting fallen chestnuts, the Diana Memorial, my first time in an English pub, a riverboat dinner cruise…the list just goes on and on. Then there was the sole purpose of my travels to England, to experience a narrowboat. It was everything and more than what I expected. I was truly blessed on my visit there and will always hold it so close to my heart. Thank you so very much Danni and Joe. My home will always be open to you ❤

I’ve cut hair for US Marines on 3-6 month deployments. It takes a bit of practice. Just remember the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut, is…2 weeks.

Of all the dangerous things I've seen on canal boat videos, watching you two trying to cut Joe's hair has to be the worst lol. As I was sitting here watching it, it wasn't until you stopped to change the cutting tool when I suddenly took a deep breath and realized I had been holding my breath the whole time lol. Your boat is looking really nice inside! You two have come a long way. This was a really fun video to watch.

Hi guys .. i recently came across your channel so far I’m enjoying peeping on your life ..may it be a Tod chaotic sometimes …lol joes haircut attempt brings back some bad memories of covid lockdown and the arguments between myself and my other half … OMG !! At the end of the day it’s just hair and eventually it grows back .. I’ve noticed Joe likes wearing hats..so that helps … Look forward to seeing what other disasters you have in the near future and how you deal with them … keep warm and stay well …

As someone who went up the local woods every winter to collect chestnuts for mum for Christmas (and to eat as I picked), eating them raw - the same as most other nuts - is the best! Roasting chestnuts is a city thing. Try for yourselves; peel off the thicker outer skin, scrape off as much of the sour tasting inner skin, and crunch into the natural sweetness. Delicious! You don't need bow thrusters Joe. The more you rely on learning the skill instead of having 'bits' that do it for you, the better Captain you will become!

On another note ! I used to have a house with a parkray fire 🔥 x got used to it in the end ! If it wasn’t lit the house was cold ! Learnt to keep a fire in all night which also heated the water x 1970s heating with coal x 😅

Lots of memories here for me, Uxbridge, Cowley lock packet boat pub, went down the Slough arm as an ice breaker in winter.... I was resident at Willow tree Marina on the Paddington arm, about 15yrs ago. Happy days.

I had a hand grinder a while back but ran out of patience - I’d like a decent electric one next but they start at like £150 for a burl I think. Do love a moka pot though!

I love it, that you might join the silver propeller challenge, Jo and Michael from Perseverance made it around the country and then also finished the complete network if canals. Doing locks backwards sounds like entering the Lancaster canal from the Ribble link to me.

Reference Batteries, not sure what your are using, if its Lead Acid / AGM you need to be running a voltage controller on the output such that the batterys do not drop below recommended operating levels, fasted way to kill a battery. The other item to look at is charging voltage, most modern Lead Acid / AGM need around 14 volts to get a good charge... And the best killer of batteries is cold, so insulation helps a lot.. Cheers and keep it comming.. All the best..

Lead acid before, but just switched to LiFeP04 (in an upcoming video), ours are stored inside so quite lucky with the head. The old lead acid were proper dead 😫

Yeah it comes with a cigarette socket charger I think around 100w/8amps! Or we can use the inverter and charge it via 240v in like an hour to full
