My tripod dog Belka had her right front leg amputated after she had been found roaming the streets with a badly heald broken leg. For her the amputation was a big improvement as that leg was hindering her movement. She just wanted to enjoy her new found mobility and loves running around. Its great to see how she adjusted to the whole thing, all in all, she is just an amazing dog.😊❤

@@user-er6lz9nq4z he’s been doing great! He runs and plays like any other happy dog. At first he was scared and sad but as soon as we brought another dog for him, he got up and started playing. I know it can be scary but he will probably feel better without the leg. He also healed pretty fast..

My year old best friend broke her leg yesterday. There is no way of repairing her leg so she is in surgery right now for an amputation surgery. I'm heartbroken and feel so guilty. I'm also terrified. I hope I can help her live a full life still once she is recovered.

Hi everyone, my 10 year old male Akita Inu was found with Osteosaroma in his front left foor. We amputated and the doctors did already the first chemotherapy to my dog....but i am worried about my health living together with a dog during his chemo. My Vet never warned me about taking precautions and measures for my personal health... Thank god the dog neither vomited nor had diarrhea and i always bag his poop But he should tell me to wear gloves too and most important he should tell me to avoid kissing him near his mouth and muzzle and not let him lick me !!! Now i am trying to remember the first three days after his first chemo, what kind of contact i had with my dog and i am freaking out because i learned that the chemo could be cancerous for the people .....I let him lick my leg a little and i kissed him on the muzzle near the mouth right after his first chemo when the Vet brought him to me.... Could any suspicious contact that i had with my dog with his saliva and poop be fatal for my health ?

We just adopted a dog that was rescued in a very bad shape. Among everything she has, half a back leg was already amputated. We think that maybe she was a house dog, something happened, an accident or a larger dog attacked her because she also has a very large scar in her neck (probably just their first owners being bad human beings?) Anyway. We have no idea of why the leg was amputated. Keka (that's her name) also has cancer, but called TBT and it's being treated for it. But vets say that other than TBT, she doesn't have cancer anywhere else. SO we're looking everywhere of rinformation on how to "be" with her. What do we need in order for her to be well. It looks like she lost her legs a long time ago because she moves very well, but since there's still half a leg we wonder if a protesis would be good or not. Thank you for the info in the video, it's great to see other dogs being so happy after loosing a leg.

Our baby girl kitty just had to get a back leg amputation, it was fractured from something that weakened the bones in her leg, we're hoping and praying the biopsy results will be something that's curable or treatable, I'm terrified to find out, I've already lost so much, I can't lose her.
