【life in tokyo】productive day in my life at a japanese university 🇯🇵 👩💻
DO NOT ASK ME ABOUT MY THESIS OR I WILL CRY!!!!!!
Now that that's out of the way, welcome to my school!!! It's the ABSOLUTE BEST TIME OF YEAR on campus! Ginkgo trees aren't just the symbol of Tokyo, but of the University of Tokyo as well (the leaves look like T's lol) and campus is CHOCK FULL OF THICC FALL BOYS 😇
I actually don't like filming much on campus because I am constantly distracted over how I'm not really doing anything interesting, but it's different during fall! Though I still won't film much more there because I need to...focus....and vlogging is.....anti-focusing

There's one thing my school is really good at and that's bringing the ultimate fall dark academia vibes!!!!! But unfortunately this year I'm locking myself in the library basement and enjoying just...dark....

WHATTT! I am just finding your channel now! How come you never mentioned this before at LARP??? Very cool!
The University looks stunning during the autumn month with those glorious leaves, that golden crisp sunshine. It's so beautiful. I also really enjoy seeing your outfits becoming increasingly more 1970s prairie--Victoriana. You're reminding me more and more of Holly Hobby, Little House on the Prairie, neo-Edwardian romper wear for toddlers and my beloved Gunne Sax, Laura Ashley and Jessica McClintock. Most people take this style into the far more common 'dark mori/woodland Lolita' direction but I love seeing what you wear, it's a very strong, idiosyncratic yet modest and understated style that seems to be a long forgotten/overlooked kind of retro throwback (always overtaken by the glitzier, more obnoxious fashions which ran concurrently during the same timeline) and I can't say I see other people sharing this style with you. It's entirely your thing and I look forward to seeing it all develop in 2023. Such fun. Thanks for sharing this charming upload with us all.
Thanks Allison. Our son is heading for Tokyo next year and your videos are great prep for all of us. All the best on your studies and dissertation!
Thanks for sharing! I find your videos so relaxing and the way you do them makes me feel like I'm right there next to you going about your day. This one made me miss and not miss my college days at the same time!
YAAAAAY it's an Allison day!! I always pounce as soon as your vids release - thank you for sharing your days as always!! Hope your thesis draft is going well! There's so much reading to go with all that writing :S So glad to see you're getting out there with fresh air and friends when you can!! Good luck with everything!!!!!
That greenery looks absolutely breathtaking and pristine❤
Best of luck working on your thesis Allison, I'm excited for the updates as you write it! Also I love the Tokyo University library, it's so aesthetic hehe (along with the rest of the campus!)
So happy to see you again in one of your cozy vlogs~~
Lovely video. Loved the colour on the autumn leaves 🍂 🍁
Such a lovely day in the life vlog, I miss being a student! And I never knew how beautiful Todai was!
Eating (pretty bad) German sushi while watching a new Allison vlog, yayyyy. Definitely makes me feel less grumpy about the food. And I love your bathtub !!! Japanese bathtubs for everyone, please !! It seems to make so much more sense on many levels. Your way of studying reminds me so much of my good old campus days… trying to have as many coffee breaks as possible :)) 😍💗
Thank you for the good vibes you're sharing in this video. I was a little tired and grumpy and I'm feeling so much more at peace now. Also, I went to Todai for a short exchange in 2013 (😱) and seeing the campus made me feel sooo nostalgic. Love sanshiro, love the libraries...aw! Thank you ☺️
The campus look so BEAUTIFUL during the Fall season!!! 😍
Just discovered your channel recently and idk but your videos make me so happy and calm ^^ thanks for that
The campus looks beautiful especially with all the nature and how the buildings give off dark academia vibes
Oh wow, your campus looks stunning with all those yellow ginko trees and this little park. It’s really beautiful and I’d love to see it like this. But I guess I’ll be a little late because the leaves are already falling 🍂 and it’s another week until I’m coming to Tokyo. I’ll see 🤞 And good luck with your thesis 🍀 I wish you all the best for this stressful time but it’s gonna be worth it 😉
You are productive and hardworking on your university studies, Miss Allison, do your best.
The University looks so good! All the pretty trees and I like seeing the buildings. It looks to be a pupular place for lots of other people to take video and pictures. The girl in the background after the cute dogs had such a pretty dress on! Thanks for taking us along with you for the day. I'm always amazed at how big those fish look in the pond! I do envy you the bath, I would love to have that set up and not have to mess with trying to get the temp of the water just right, especially since the season is changing. I had -2 F degrees this morning! 😅 Any thoughts of traveling home for the holidays?
Good to see you working on your thesis instead of talking about procrastinating it lol. Excited to hear about it! Are you gonna show more of Japan's weird seasonal items?
4:10 I love how your outfit and hair color match the gingko tree. You look like a gingko fairy!
The worst part about finding a new favorite KZreadr is finishing their backlog and having to wait for new videos.
Thank you for sharing! I am planning to study in Japan soon and videos like these are very helpful. Youre beautiful and I hope youre getting the absolute most out of your stay in Japan!! Sending virtual hugs :3 !!
i love the milk heater thingy - i have it myself!!! its so convenient

Just found your channel recently. And i LOVE it! 😅
Isn´t the University of Tokyo one of the best of the country? It is so impresive that you are doing your thesis there. I really admire you now!! The campus is so beautiful. By the way I enjoy your videos a lot so keep doing please💚
It's like 14 degrees F where I live and you just reminded me to get hot choccy when I get done with work hahaha! Japan looks so beautiful in the fall and your university looks so pretty omg. We love the academia vibes.
Cozy vlog 🍁🍂
the university campus is really pretty🍁 and omg the dogs on a little bench!!ಥ‿ಥ
Loved this video!
I'm going to need a pasta recipe video it looks so good!
The pasta dish looked amazing! I'm a cooking illiterate but one pot dishes usually work out for me and now I wanna give that a try...
I’M AN ADVENTURER! Haha! What a nice and productive day. I feel like here on the east coast (Pittsburgh) I have so much trouble staying awake as soon as the time change happens and it starts getting dark earlier. Also your dinner looked so good. I hope the rest of the work on this draft of your thesis goes smoothly. ❤
I have a nespresso machine but I need that one!! and that stand that holds the capsules, so cute
Ooooh Josiah Conder! He’s an English architect who became famous in Japan through his love of Japanese design! I went to a residence near Ueno he designed called Kyu Iwasaki Tei (or something). If you want to learn more about him, I absolutely recommend visiting this mansion.
J conder was a britisch architect who was invited to come to Tokyo. He build a lot of western style buildings all over Japan. Love your clothing style.
Loved the video thanks. What are you studying? Autumn is my favourite season the colours are so beautiful xx♥️♥️
You made me go and check the who was the statue guy, so I'll share - Josiah Conder was a British architect who was hired by the Meiji Japanese government as a professor of architecture for the Imperial College of Engineering and became architect of Japan's Public Works. Conder designed numerous public buildings in Tokyo, including the Rokumeikan.
so good
quick first comment. more stuff when I finished watching x) edit: that dinner made me sooo hungry... looked really good 🤤Cozy and chill vlog you gotta love it.

Wait a sec… Where did an American girl learn to say “brekkie”??!

We do not really have any good contraction of breakfast in the US just for general meals or food so quite few people have appropriated the British slang for use so thanks. Maybe soon people might start using morish I always kind of like that one.

@@southcoastinventors6583 I find “bikkies” (biscuits, cookies) and “arvo” (afternoon, as in “this arvo”, for example) quite useful!
東京大学? すげえ。(^_^)
"japanese university", japanese university in question: university of tokyo xD you are very humble :)
Love these videos, they are great, have a great weekend. Greetings from Chile.
