As a patient with Cystic Fibrosis you tend to spend a lot of your life going in and out of hospitals… Over the past 12 months I’ve spent 7 of them sat in my hospital bed. But don’t feel sorry for me, living in a Hospital isn't all bad!

There hot meals available 24 hours a day
chilli, Lasagne, steak and chips - cooked your own way.
and nurses who will chat just a call button away,
they’ll talk about that girl when you’re having a bad day,

fridges in your room just full of snack and drink,
and there’s a drawer of sweets filled to the brink

Porters take me everywhere and I always use the lifts,
Making friends with the nurses’ as they do their shifts,
I get to see my friends and they bring me lots of gifts,
Dirty magazines just filled with pictures of…..

you can travel round in a wheelchair all and every day,
and there is a burger king just 50 meters away!

But it does have its dark moments you can bet, oh yeh,
At the end of the day there’s a reason you are there.
being included in everyone’s nightly prayer,
I think we’d all agree we’d rather be elsewhere,
See Life in a hospital is as comfortable as can be,
thanks to the amazing work from our health care team,
they make us better when we are ill and sick,
and its thanks to them, I’m able to sing

I LOVED THIS! I burst out laughing at "Its full of women and they’re all dressed as a nurse"... DAMN RIGHT! And the interns too. Hospital stays are not so bad and it's all thanks to them!

Charles, you are amazingly talented and truly have captured the hospital experience for CF young men. My son Jonathan has CF and a double lung transplant, and he is now very healthy, 9 years post transplant! I showed him your video and he loved it. It truly captures in every way the positives of being in the hospital. He always loved Children's Hospital of Orange County, Ca which has the sexiest nurses. He actually loved going to the hospital just for that! When you are very sick with pneumonia, you learn there is so much positive to focus on in the hospital. You truly captured the positives with your well written song. You are a true joy to the world Charles. I wish you all God's blessings and that your health will be restored in full when you receive your transplant!

Thanks Charles....Please hang in there...Life will feel so much better once you receive your transplant. But the bad news is, you will have far fewer hospital visits...so you won't see all the pretty nurses as often as before. A small price though to breathe easy....I'll keep you in my prayers! :)

Halarious! My mom always cracks jokes about how if my little sister and i dont behave shes going to give us cf, doctors look at her funny when she says that hehe. But u r strong and u wilk make it. My aunt with cf just turned 50 last weekend and she had this huge party haha

Fantastic mate. :) How you only got 1k followers? And how on earth did you get to film at the hospital??? LoL . I assume that's Southampton general? I have CF, was in the ward for a few weeks in April when my left lung collapsed a bit, keeps doing that. Not bad at all, I had one of the big rooms. :)

I love musical sick people. Many youtube singing teachers say a healthy body is sooo important for singing and while it would be ideal, sick people can definitely do it too!
You are cool Charles. Your singing voice is awesome. I do music, too. Working on some new stuff from bed that is ; / (I have Ehlers-danlos syndrome and it's gotten really bad in the past year all of a sudden) Hey, I was staying in Bournemouth with my good friend (whom I met through my awareness blogging actually) I was first diagnosed properly in the UK.
