Hello everyone, I have to say thank you all for the support and I appreciate every single one of you! We were reported a problem that the cutscenes were missing and we have fixed that. So me and my dad will speedrun the episode again with cutscenes on and share our reactions at the start of next video. When I upload my videos, I want to achieve the aspect that everything we do, you guys can relate to from your younger selves. Then I see comments saying "Oh yeah I remember getting jumpscared by that LICKER!!!" It honestly makes me smile, thank you!

One thing it’s worth getting in the habit of doing is examining any keys you pick up and clicking on them. When you do it changes the name of them in the inventory and helps out a lot! Also, no need to kill any zombies before you reach the RPD if you’re speed running again! If you’re quick you can grab the gun shop owners shotgun after the zombies take him down… Good luck

@@CC-mp1wk Great comment CC 👍 on another note, If you start a normal run & don't pick up anything; & I mean ANYTHING lol 🤣 if you go down the stairs behind the RPD, you'll see Brad Vickers as a zombie 🧟 and he'll drop the costume key that is useable via the dark room.

Ah yes got to love that pixelated map action Pablo!🗺 Like most have mentioned to various degrees the cutscenes are very important indeed for the atmosphere an narrative experience glad you sorted that for next time🙌, surprised you left poor ole Kendo(and his trusty shotgun) behind, but that's the beauty of first playthrough decisions. That first Licker really had it out for you lads!👅☣ Good first hustle venture into Raccoon City guys fair play.☘

Oh man... something I have to mention... your dad says how it "jumps right into the game from the start", I believe that's because you chose the "Arrange Mode" instead of "Original Mode". the Original Mode has a whole CGI intro scene, and there are CGI scenes throughout the game. you don't get those in Arrange Mode. I highly recommend starting over and selecting Original Mode for the full experience, but it's your choice for sure. It's so awesome though that you guys managed to get RE2! Very happy about this. and thanks for the signed journals! Really looking forward to getting mine!!

Alright, now that I've properly watched the full video, I will add; you're definitely improving on your RE skills! Lots of dodging is necessary in this game when you're low on ammo, so good work! You guys also have big brain for figuring out the puzzles so far! Again, I will say, definitely recommend starting over though and choosing Original Mode. It may seem like a pain going back, but trust me it's worth it! 👍

I don't think that's the case because he's playing the PC version and my arrange mode still plays the FMVs. He likely has "Enable movies" unchecked in the RE2 Classic Rebirth Configuration menu.

I dont think avoiding lickers is as easy as you make it sound. If they are in cautios state, they will attack you if you come to close as well as when you walk (not run) on broken glass. In general its not that easy to get past lickers when the room is this tight. Running past that licker was the best thing he could do imo. Later on the game throws so much ammo at you.. might as well kill everything.

Great start! There's quite a lot to unpack in this game, so take your time to explore & enjoy how it ties into the events of the first. Looks great in 4k too! 👍

Also idk if anyone's mentioned but lickers are blind and rely on sound. As long as you don't attack or sprint you can carefully sneak by them

Hey Lex and Pablo! Thank you so much for doing these videos and also for continuing with the adventures of RE. I´m pretty sure you are getting a lot of tips for the game but just to make sure I would like to do my share. If you are in a room with zombies or any other enemy and if you happen to shoot at them without killing them, when you come back to the room their health will be full again. So shooting them without killing them may result in wasted bullets. If you are not sure if a downed zombie is dead use the knife, that way you don´t waste bullets. So far you are doing great and wow awesome job dodging zombies m8. Pablo: It is so awesome to hear the RE2 files read by the voice of RE1 wesker it adds a very cool flavor to this whole experience, awesome job guys! Keep David Bowie alive and kick some tail.

You can avoid most of the zombies at the start until you get to the bus , you also get a shotgun from Kendo that you missed

If you missed the shotgun with kendo you can get another one in the Stars office, it's in the locker by the corner

Fantastic to see you playing my Favourite one of the series. couple of tips, You need to restart and play on original mode. Arranged mode is for regular players who know the score. Lickers are blind :=) so slowwwwwwwwwly walk past them lol. Not all zombies need to die but you can still have fun and finally, tap that shoot button a bit quicker for rapid fire ;). Remember the Map tips i give you? its in this lol. blue rooms means nothing to do there and red means still an item or something to do. also the map will show locked doors and the keys required i believe :D All the Best and Keep up the great work

You did good, we all got killed we first time we encountered the Licker. It's better to wait until you get the shotgun if you want to fight it. Dodging is imperative in RE2 especially the first section of the game. The only zombies I get rid of are the ones in the basketball court and the bus. Other than that I dodge them all so I can keep my precious bullets for the police station and it's narrow hallway.

Every single time ive opened up youtube ive been checking for more of this project ^_^ i'm really looking forward to seeing it! its cool seeing someone with the entire game memorised but seeing someone experience and play these classic RE games for the first time is a thrill! ^_^

I had a similar reaction, the first time I saw that Licker crawl across the window. Great game!

Definitely a great moment! It really scared me first time I saw it! And then how when you go into that next room, the camera angle is showing from outside the window... So creepy! Perfect game.

Also, you don't need to check for bullets the zombies that you killed, only the zombies that are already dead can have bullets.

Awesome job, Lex. I first played this game when it came out in ‘98, and I can’t tell you how many times I died just trying to make it to the police station. I have no doubt you have what it takes to beat this game.

Hey Lexonal awesome playthrough and so excited to see you guys start this bad boy off, great skills already, as to be expected from yourself 😎👍🏻the only thing is when you started the game you selected arrange mode which i don't know for certain if that effects cutscenes in the game? Or if its the particular download you have? which is looking really crisp, clear and running smoothly besides that ✌🏼😎, just don't want you guys to miss out on all the awesome build up, as far as I remember it was key items and most pick ups are randomised and placed in completely different areas, and the difficulty setting was alot harder, I know it may sound a bit like a long winded chore, but you may want to consider whilst your at such an early stage of the game, possibly restarting on Original mode as it might ruin your overall experience, the start of the game will make so much more sense along with some legendary epic and crucially important FMV cutscenes throughout your journey🙏🏼⛱ Look forward to epic duo back on the next episode of RESIDENT EVIL 2

@@Lexonal Ah I see, thats Awesome stuff dude looking forward to the next episode, when you start again in the kendo gun shop have a look around on both sides I think there's more bullets and when you get to that blue dumpster thing you climb on, instead of shooting you can knife downwards to conserve ammo, just don't stand too close to the edge as they vommit allover your feet and Leon's boots aren't zombie breath proof, keep up the awesome work dude, I see them skills ✌🏼😎🚔👁🧟🧟‍♀️

Hey Lexonal you're playing my absolute favourite of the OG Trilogy Biohazard 2 I have to say you did quite well if you went back to Kendos shop and killed all the zombies you would have had the shotgun found on Kendos body.but there's another shotgun found in the Locker in the S.T.A.R.S office as well. Zombies bites do more damage in 2.

Hey Lexonal, I think this is important: for some reason you are missing the cutscenes. It seems that your emulator isn't showing them and they are really important, also the endings have a cutscene too. If you need help I can help you.

Yeah I fixed the cutscene problem by pressing 'Enable Movies' for the PC version, all good!

If you check the map, you'll see that each type of doors are color coded. It helps alot for key management. Keep going Lexonal! You're handling it super well!

Great progress! RE 2 can be tough the first time, a lot of enemies everywhere, but that changes later. Btw… your ability dodging zombies is top notch, getting better and better! I died like ten times in my first try before I could get to the Gun Shop 😅. Good job, buddy!

I was really hoping you would play RE2 I’m so excited! This is the RE game I grew up playing, it’s so special to me and my favorite game of all time. I love RE1 so much but this one hits right in the nostalgia for me. The games story is so special, it’s truly one of those sequels that is just so well done, it surpasses the previous game in every way. The story is so incredible and is the perfect continuation. Leon, Claire, and the rest of the cast are so fantastic and memorable. I could just talk about this game for hours. I’m so pumped to see the rest of your play through and your reaction to the cutscenes!

What? No FMV? (Full Motion Videos). I have that game on my PS Vita, with RE 1: Director's Cut & Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (all digital versions from PS Store).

Dealing with Lickers ar real pain in the A** hahahahah I can relate to your struggle the first time playing re2. I can suggest just walk while there's one around and once it does its lifting stance stop walking till it gets back to its relaxed state....Enjoy the Game Pablo and Lexonal... I wish you cna see those CG cutscenes...Super worth it

You did a fantastic job, Lex!! This one is harder than the first game, so keep that in mind 😁 Also Leon's movements are really helpful to check your health without checking the menu, as in RE1. I'm glad your playing Leon first he's probably my favourite character next to Jill and it's exactly how sooo many of us first played it too. Back when the game was released, at had to disc's. Disc 1 was Leon's campaign and disc 2.. yes you guessed it. Probably the reason why most people started with Leon! 😊

Hi Lexonal and Pablo, it's so nice to finally see you both enjoying RE2! I'm just wondering which emulator you're using? As the FMV cutscenes are missing including the intro which shows how Leon ended up by that fire. We wouldn't want you to miss out on any more cutscenes and the story. Couple things: 1.) I know it's been said more than a couple times, but you're missing some cinematics. Important ones, too. The opening one gives you quite a bit of establishing information. Not sure what's going on with the emulation, but trust me when I say it's worth looking into. 2.) Knowing when to dodge enemies and when to take them out is going to be your best friend in this game, moreso than the first RE game. You already seem to have a good grasp on it, so definitely trust your gut and commit to those zombie weaves. It'll save you ammo for sure 👍

It's so cool to see you and your Dad (who is a legend by the way) bonding with this classic game! OG RE2 is my personal favorite game of all time. I've beaten it more times than I can count! I first played this when I was 14 years old about a month or two after its initial release in 1998. I own 6 different versions of the game and I still play it to this day and I'm now 38. Haha. Glad you figured out the cutscene problem and looking forward to seeing your guys' reaction to them!

Been waiting for this! Not to be nitpicky But I think You guys start on Claire thats the real story...Unless youll do that to After Leon A Claire B

Great job so far. They definitely shove a ton of enemies in your face at the start but once you get more weapons it gets easier. Definitely worth taking out some of the enemy packs in busy areas that you'll go through a lot like the room on the right /east wing in the RPD

I love all the little Japanese style things that snuck their way into the design of the game that Pablo points out. I never even noticed the little green lights above the doors signifying an exit. Keep pointing those things out it’s super neat!

You're skipping the cinematics bc you chose arrange mode. You may want to start over, and play original mode rather than arrange.

@@meridian-child8908 I'm not sure if it removes them all, but certainly someone playing RE2 for the first time should choose original mode. I think some items are shifted around in arrange mode as well. Might also be worth playing Claire first, I think her game is a bit easier.

​@@FoxxMulderr If Arrange Mode is the reason the cutscenes are missing, there is no point in playing that version further. I'd also prefer original in general, especially since they are actually super early in the game. Just replayed the game the last few days. Curious why you think Claire is easier. I think Leon is easier in both scenarios, but as a complete experience, Claire A / Leon B is probably easier.

​@@Peralt Are you sure about 'super easy'? In the ps1 dual shock version there was only 'rookie' difficulty.. this one seems(?) to be the PC port. What makes this version easy?

14:42 Whenever you shoot them and they recoil, shoot them again quickly and they'll fall over. It usually takes 3 shots for that frame to occur but it's random at times. Just run past them when they fall
