Absolutely! He tends to have more of a focus on technical details and underlying gameplay mechanics so the tone is quite different, but he's always very thorough and fair in his assessments. Awesome bunch of videos on tons of DOS classics (and not-so-classics).
I knew that intro was familiar. Nice to see you bring someone like ADG in!
I had a corrupted version of this on a floppy I could never get working past the title screen and I've been searching for a video record of it my whole life to make sure I wasn't going crazy. Thank you for all your reviews and documentations over the years.
Awesome, glad you're enjoying!
I love the young lion... carefully and quietly hunting it's ultimate prey... the elusive, unpredictable, and ferociously dangerous... stack of wild meat chops! Must be one of those Wild Butchers about - finding, killing, and carefully stacking cuts of meat for the snacking enjoyment of every other creature. :p

The wild butcher is the scariest predator, it doesn't even kill for food, it only kills so it can satisfy its perverse desire to carve innocent creatures up into steaks and stack them up like a psychopath. And these steaks are then eaten by apex predators causing them to overpopulate, turning the jungle into hell on earth for all prey animals.

There is a greater predator to watch out for: The LA/CG remake. O_O
Lawl "whats the worst that can happen" then gets blue screen. Some seriously good stuff....
No problem at all, always great to hear when my videos help bring back some childhood memory fragments!
Your stuff takes me back :) I love it. "I keep thinking.. wow.. i used to play that! I remember now!"
you looked like a mix between Gabe Newell and Steve Earle here :P

Dat sexy beard.
Excellent! Loved the intro and the post-intro content of this video. Glad edutainment month is back!
I swear that lion in the Jungle Animals pic looks like he's doing the epic smiley face.
BOY, I haven't thought about this game since I played it back in, I guess, 1996. I love this channel!
holy shit! i've been wondering what this game was since i was a kid, 20 years later i can finally put my soul to rest
LGR, you're awesome.
Awww, I wish my beard was still ginger. It's grey and white now, mainly because time continued to happen... for quite some time. I get more "Santa!" comments than "Gandalf!" ones these days. Personally I think it's more Robert Wyatt. Shaving is boring. Don't do razors, kids!
Tokyo Jungle is a spiritual successor?
Soooo awesome you reviewed this :-) childhood memories!
I know this is old but this cracks me up. You obviously quit watching way before the 2 minute mark or so.
Epic beard. Now all that's left is to become a Unix guru, and the cycle is complete.
Yes, there are now so many PC games in this room that I can no longer find the exit to leave. I now live on repeated playthroughs of Duke Nukem 3D and Out of this World.
Thanks! I was quite happy with the way the other half of this video turned out, hehe.
Thanks for presenting Kris to us. His site is amazing and so are his reviews.
No problem at all, I'm happy to pass more viewers his way.
I'm eight years late commenting on this, but while I've long had memories of this game from my childhood I had completely forgotten what it was called until now. Fun to see it here!
This was the first game I ever played! Love it!
man, i gotta watch every video you upload, even though i dont know what the fuck youre talking about sometimes, youre just plain awesome.
"This has to be one of the few games I know that significantly reduced options available to you in subsequent additions." How about most modern big name titles, which dumb down the sequels versus the original? Mass Effect 2, for instance?
At first I didn't realize what game this was aside from the title... Then 5:32 hits... MY CHILDHOOD!! I remember a different theme playing (don't know it's name) but man... I remember having a hoot playing as the fox. Good times... Hey Clint (Unless I have the wrong name), did you ever play a dos game that involved restoring elements to all the nusery stories to their proper state? I believe it had graphics like Space Quest or Leisure Suit Larry. (was it ega or vga? Can't remember...)

I played this also as during my childhood a great game for the time
Wow... Watching this in 2020... The changes of Clint are overwhelming.
Did you review Blood Bowl and Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament? Those, IMO, are pretty AWESOME games!!
When i was little me and by brother played this game together until our cpu died. We didn't get a new computer for about a year after that and we had lost our CD of this game. I'm so happy that you reviewed this game! Thank you for giving me a piece of my childhood back! p.s. the song it plays when you dies still haunts my dreams lol
I played this in primary school...on the schools PCs! It was used as an educational tool and we all loved it.
Beard or no Beard, still one of my fav channels.
Kris is cool, what a great surprise!
I am glad your so chill
loved this game when i was younger!
i love your personality and thus like your shows! or is it the other way around?
Yes, been following him for a LONG time. He's pretty much awesome too.
I'm liking the long hair/beard combo! Seriously. Keep it. No matter what anyone says. It's awesome.
I loved this game. I had it either on a Game Empire disc or some other freeware/shareware magazine disc. I never had the money to send off for the full versions of my favourite shareware games, kinda wish i had but then again nostalgia goggles do defend slot of games >.>

I just made a comment on this, but I had a floppy disk of this that was corrupted. I could install it (sometimes), and got the to the title screen and maybe main game once, and it has driven me crazy trying to find the ever since. If only I can find the SNES elevator game I've been looking for I can RIP.
lol i remember this game! we had some sort of "collection" of many shareware dos games and among them was this and billy the kid. also a cool ninja game and tons of other more forgettable ones.
Good on you for growing an epic beard LGR!
Yay for Kris Asick and ADG! Watched all of his episodes and now watching all LGR, excluding LP's because I'm not a fan of them, but others are, so "to each their own".
As always entertaining and funny. And were else would you see a bear eat a turtle..lol
ah, good old childhood, I remember having the older version of this game, somehow I think I had more fun playing this than Dyna Blaster, Sonic 3 and Ski or Die
I played this so much as a child. But in my memory it was a lot more fun than it looks like now :/

Right. Had a ton of fun playing this game as a child. But looking at it now man does it look rather boring haha. Seem to find that's the case more often then not
I used to have this one, i used to turn down the contrast and brightness on my monitor and select the bear, for some reason his eyes seemed to glow! Then I'd just feast on every poor critter in sight!
Holy shit. I remember this game when I was a kid! I totally forgot about it until I saw this video. Flooding back is my childhood memories.
"What the balls, man? You said you had this brah... and panties" I completely lost it at that comment. XD Great writing man.
My version played the Mexican Hat Dance at the title screen lol
Will you ever review SimEarth and the like? Would love those reviews.

Forgot about SimAnt SimTower lol
where i can get the full version of the game?
The "tile based" game system reminds me of Chip's Challenge, I game that I played almost religiously on my mom's old IBM back in the late 90s.

Edutainment Month! Hells to the yeah!
So Turkish March is what that tune is! Brings back memories of being trapped in a firey cave trying to guide suicidal rodents to paradise.
Major props man.
No, he only has his website and channel on blip.tv
LGR, a question for you since you seems to have played an awful lot of games :). I'm trying to find out a title of a game, it was an early 90s game between 1990-1993 if I'm not mistaken. It was a... rpg/adventure/action?-like side scrolling game. The distinctive feature of it was that you can take items while you side-scroll adventure which you can use in your alchemy lab and join them together to make new items... I'm afraid that's all I remembered as I used to play it on my friend's house
@1:26: "...and panties." Either I'm remembering this video wrong, or that line got cut. Care to explain?
@Darktro0per33

Yeah, I remember it too. I think it was cut sometime ago.
Yup! Dinosaur Predators. I meant to mention it but oh well.
when I was like 9 yrs old I loved this game
Is the registered version available anywhere? I've always liked this game as a kid and wanted to try out the sea and the jungle habitat

Lazy Game Reviews You should consider uploading it then. That itch to try those levels I never got the chance is dying to be scratched.
Hey, would you do a Sims 1 review? I loved the soundtrack :)
Whispers quietly: Otherkin....
Hey this is actually a quite awsome game. You really never clicked the more info screens? I had no former English education, but still figured what stuff mostly means haha. Also the game shines more if you choose the harder species to go with because you need to plan every move of yours haha. Of course there were times I just choose bear to have fun, but it was awsome to have some usable scores with small animals too :-)
I was trying to remember the name of this game and suddenly you made a video on the internet. GET OUT OF MY MIND!!!
I remember playing this game. Did not know it was supposed to be educational.
Clint, I've got a DOS game that I remember, but I can't seem to recall the name of it, so I was wondering if you might recognize it. It was a math game that my school had back when I was a first/second-grader, and on the side of the screen there was a man with an ice cream cone. The computer fed you increasingly difficult math questions, and every time you answered one correctly, you got a scoop of ice cream added. Every time you missed, one or several fell from the cone. Do you recognize it?
What are the list of Ocean Animals and Jungle Animals sorted in difficulty?
Oh gosh I remember this game!
why are you feeding the troll?
Did you control the mouse with the mouse?
I was like "WHAT HAPPENED TO CLINT?!?!"
was there a dinosaur version of this? I remember playing a game JUST like this but you played as a t-rex and such.
I didn't know lions eats gorillas! I learned so much from this game
SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS THIS GAME EXISTED! Went to a Baptist elementary school that had this and a bunch of bootleg DOS games like Dodge 'em or Math Blaster.
woooooow. :D i remember playing this during the break at my school when i was a kid :D
maaaaaan - huge nostalgia here
Wait, you can't play as an octopus in the ocean mode? That's pretty odd considering the octopus is one of the most intelligent creatures in the entire world. Well worthy of a spot in an edutainment game such as this.
maybe they’ll port this over to the Xsocks
Blue screen of death, oh noes!
Can you review Shattered Steel?
where did you get your t-shirt? sinclair ftw bro.
Whoa! Epic beard guy!
Oh... :D I played this shareware when I was young !! :) (I live in Belgium) I totally remember it and I, as well chose the bear! There was a version with dinosaurs... I don't remember the name, but you should totally check that one out! You could be any dinosaur you wanted. That was so cool and my brother regretted it quite fast when he show me that game since he had to work on that computer and I didn't want to stop until I ate eeeeverything! :') See. Nostalgia is hitting me hard and I'm 21!
i phreakin LOVE edutainment month!!!!!
I seem to remember playing a version of this with dinosaurs when I was a kid.

Nice intro :)
lol, i tried to download a demo on alivesoft's site and it said this version of windows isn't supported
nah, don't listen to them Clint, I grew moutton chops a while back. Best decision ever.
OH GOD THE HAIR, ALL THE HAIRS!! Nice new intro though, hardly lazy at all.
"It's got nice 16 color high res graphics!: LOL!!!!!! oh man i remember playing the shareware version of this!... good times...
I love Animal Quest!
