LG V10 F6V1009BTSE Turbowash 360 - Cottons 40°, full length, 9kg load

Don’t forget to Like & Subscribe! 👍▶️ Also hit the notification button to be notified of all new uploads! 🛎
In this video the LG is washing a full load on Cottons 40° (the load itself weighed 8.5kg on the bathroom scales). Anything more than roughly 1/3 load on Cottons 40° triggers the long 4 hour cycle. There were some heavily soiled items in here which did come clean, but then I would expect it to after such a long cycle. Unfortunately despite the length of the cycle and the Turbowash jets, the load was not fully saturated at the end leaving some dry patches on garments. A large load such as this would have been very quickly saturated in either the Siemens or the Miele W1.
On the long cycle it does do decent length interim spins up to 1400, which it doesn’t do on the shorter cycles times (they only go up to 800rpm on short) and also does 3 rinses rather than 2.
Detergent used: Persil Colour liquid and Lenor Spring Awakening softener
Enjoy!

Finally there's a 1600rpm LG here but it's a bit different than yours as it's a newer model, has a 10.5 kg capacity drum and has ezDispence (also the power and play/pause buttons are touch sensitive).

I do love this machine and LG in general, just a bit of a shame about the long wash time. On a full absorbent load mine takes 3 hours 45 minutes. I'm very surprised this with those Jets takes longer! Those interim spins are very impressive, though longer than mine on a full load. I would still consider one of these myself. Thanks so much for uploading!! :)

    Be greatful it's only 225 mins (03hrs 45 mins), my Lavamat Turbo L87696WD estimates 256 mins (04hrs 16 mins) before the cycle's started, but within 07 to 10 mins that's reduced to 159 mins (02hrs 39 mins, I think).

@@khumolegoabe1730 My AEG Lavamat Turbo L87696WD is a washer dryer hence the "turbo" reference, it's a Protex Plus, so a bit more sophisticated than the Lavamat Protex I've encountered. Due to it being a washer dryer, if you set it to wash & dry, it carries out an IVSD/Interval Spin Dry sequence, it carries out 07 bursts to remove the worst of the water before the main 08th burst at 1600RPM. Anyway, the IVSD/Spin Dry lasts for 43, 44 mins, it drains at 66 mins (01hr 06 mins) and ends at 23 mins left on the timer. It goes from 400RPM upto 1400RPM in the first 06 bursts interspersed with two speed tumbling between each spin burst and there are 04 short 300RPM bursts before the main burst between the 04th & 07th bursts, the 07th is a gradual ramp upto 1200RPM and the 08th is an instant ramp from distribution (95RPM) upto 1400RPM this lasts from 31 mins to 27 mins, then it ramps to 1600RPM for 02. 03 mins including the deceleration, it stops at 23 mins. Here's the link to show the IVSD spin dry sequence. kzread.info/dash/bejne/q5yV1Jmhe6WcgZs.html The standard "wash only" spin dry lasts 15 mins according to the timer, but I prefer the IVSD sequence, I rarely use the wash only mode spin dry.

Will this actually take 4 hours to wash a load of laundry? I won’t own a Bosch because of the 3.5 hour cottons cycles but 4 hours just seems beyond ridiculous. When I’m doing the laundry I normally have 2 full loads of clothes, a load of king sized bed sheets and then another load of towels and kitchen hand towels. That would end up taking 16 hours to get the laundry washed before drying it! How can Lg think that’s suitable for anyones lifestyle? I would need two to three days to get just a single weeks clothes washed and dried and by that stage you would already be ready to almost do another load. I have the 9kg Miele 980 W1 passion and it takes between 2:29/2:39 on a cotton cycle and even that is lengthy, unless you press quick and it’s 1:39 but I only do this for less soiled loads or if I’m using powder and not twindos as the powder definitely has more cleaning power then the twindos in shorter washes. If I’m already finding 2:39 lengthy how can you cope with 4 hours? My previous machine to the Miele was an Electrolux and the cottons light cycle was 1:35 and everything came out clean and so fresh and that was nice and quick. I miss those speedy cycle times and if you wanted the time manger let you increase it from light to medium, heavy and extra but I never needed too, the light cycle got everything so clean. I don’t understand why Bosch and Lg are doing these ridiculously long cycles, very few people have the time to wait. I am a house of 2 people. What would a family of 5 do? Spend a week doing laundry? I just don’t understand why it’s so long when it doesn’t need to be, if other brands who have the same or better energy and water ratings have faster programs it can’t have anything to do with efficiency.

You dont have to use Cotton for everything. I have a machine very simular to this, and for half loads i use Turbowash 39, for large loads i use eco 40-60, for whites i use allergy care, for delicates i use delicates, and for king size comforter i use duvet, and this way it isnt that long. ECO, and Allergy care are a bit long, but i only use those for a full week of laundry, otherwise for like two days of laundry turbowash 39 work perfectly, and if i wash whites i just add steam to that, and its much faster.
