Wow I was at cricket wireless at the time of you publishing this video, I am looking into getting the Stylo 5 because of the display is amazing. I'm pretty sure when I was going over the cricket wireless version i am sure it has NFC but I'll have to get back to you on that after I find out. Yeah last years Stylo 4 with Cricket did not have NFC. But the Stylo 4 with Cricket did have 3 GB of RAM. With the Metro version going up to 3 GB of RAM (it only had 2 GB in the Stylo 4) it seems like all the Stylos are going to have the same specs this year. That's just speculation though. Let me know what you find out!

@@AndroidDigest okay I sure will. A few things that LG did with their Stylo phones was add flagship phone features such as a full front display and a stylus which only the flagship note series has. They should have made the phone to have wireless charging and still keep the low cost price. One last feature that they have is a finger print scanner which not many low end phones have as of right now.

It's just under $300 phones like the Moto G7 in speed, but it has a better display, fast charging, and a stylus, not to mention a large screen (normally bigger screens cost more). It's definitely a good buy at $230. I always try to be careful though. Some people have a $900 phone and you say the Stylo is fast and they wonder why it's not as fast as their $900 phone

I purchased it like i said i would , one other thing to note is that there's not really any stores that sell cases for the stylo 5 besides the cell phone stores that have it for sell if you do a future video about it mention that in the video.

A little bigger display goes a long ways on a smart phone. A 6.2" has over 150% the area of a 5" screen. The stylo is kind of cool, but the display size is the real selling point. I just hope its more durable than the 6" ZTE Max XL I upgraded from.

On "Google Chrome" as well "Opera"... how do u save downloaded files to a mounted "USB Flash Drive"?

On the cnet app, if you go through the browser and click a link for cnet, can it open for you? iPhone X intel chip, through the browser it will open the app, spinning wheel of death, and that’s it. Touch the app on the home screen, it opens almost immediately, and I can search for whatever.

I bought this phone 3 weeks ago from Sprint and this phone rocks. The only complaint is the 32gigs. If this phone came with 64 or 128 gigs then it would be the best phone on the market today. Their is no intellegent reason to buy a 700 to 1100 dollar cell phone with a monthly payment of 20 to 35 dollars because very few people really need that type of cell phone. Cell phones are a want and a status symbol for so many people. Buy this phone because it really is worth the money. It is a little slow with a sub standard camera but its still a great phone.

How do I get this phone to light up when I put it up to my face? Not face recognition but every phone I've ever had, when on a call, if it "sleeps", when I put it up to my face it lights back up. How do you do that with this phone?

This phone has that as well. If you press the power button when you are on a phone call it sort of overrides it and stays asleep. If you make a phone call and you attempt to put it to your face and the screen doesn't go black, it could be the screen protector covering the sensor. Or you could possibly have a dud phone

I'm pretty sure all of the features for the stylus is still on your phone because you can't actually remove them from the phone , after you remove the stylus click on the gear in the bottom right of the screen then click the second option in the list that pops up finally configure the pop-up list that shows when you remove the stylus.

I had the Stylo 4 when I was on Metro PCS and even the 4 is still a decent budget phone but I had switched to Sprint bc I just got tired of Metro. Now I have the Stylo 5 on Sprint and there doesn't seem to be much of a difference. The 5 does seem a little more faster and more responsive then the 4. When it comes to buying a budget priced phone I would recommend the Stylo 4 or the 5. The one negative is when I had the 4 (that was on Metro PCS it had NFC my Stylo 5 (on Sprint) doesn't have NFC but not that its a big let down but NFC is useful sometimes.

The metro version of the Stylo 4 also only had 2 GB of RAM. That's probably why it feels a little snappier. But your right, you do lose NFC. So far metro is the only carrier that I know of that has an NFC Stylo 5

Most of them are going to be almost a year old but they are a little faster than most phones so it's a pretty good value, which is why I wanted to try it and use it

I just got my LG Stylo 5 last Friday and I'm really enjoying it! I'm on boost so it was only $137 after tax which is such a decent price. Now, it's basically the same internals and same specs as the Stylo 4. It's a great phone. I don't care what anyone says, people want to talk about other phones being better but the Stylo 5 is a good budget device if you LG and if you want I big display. I'd give it a try

There's always a better phone out there.. But for under $200 you won't find many phones like this with 3 GB of RAM and a nice big display with a stylus. Not even many phones out there with a stylus. Sounds like you got a really good deal, assuming Boost works well in your area

It's only sometimes that the service isn't so good. But for $137 after tax I'm not complaining and that's what a lot of people do Lol complain just because it has basically the same specs as the Stylo 4 did but I mean, the Stylo 4 was a good phone so what's the issue it still comes with a extra gig of ram unlike the 4 did. Idk some people complain too much. If they want a flagship then they need to buy one and stop comparing these budget phones to the biggest and best phones out there. I see it all the time and it's not a fair comparison at all. It's stupid.

The Stylo series phones last forever there's people who still have the Stylo 3 because they last forever. And I don't care what others think about the stylos I like them. I bought this phone for $140 at Wal-Mart for boost mobile. Definitely can't beat that price for this phone. Not much difference from the Lg stylo 4 except for size and battery. Better than any other budget phone I've used.

Well the Boost Stylo 4 had a worse processor and less RAM. So the Stylo 5 for Boost is a decent upgrade from the Stylo 4. At least for Boost customers. $140 is a great deal

I've had the Boost version for about a week . I'm not a demanding user but my only complaints are the speaker being on the bottom it's easy to drown out the sound . Battery life is kind of disappointing but I like a bright screen . I like the Stylus pen a lot more than the 4 plus I had . The pen on my 4 Plus was thinner and broke easier . Display is great . Looks good. Not had much experience with camera. Boost has 4 phones free for new or switching customers . I've been with Boost a couple years and got the phone as an upgrade on the" Boost UP" plan . I do agree it wasnt worth the upgrade from the 4 Plus I had . I recommend looking at the Samsung A 20 .

These are pretty good thoughts. Honestly it's a similar speaker to the Stylo 4, similar camera, both of which weren't too good. Not much upgrades from the Stylo 4, the Boost version saw a processor upgrade, and the Boost version has 1 more GB of RAM than last year. But most Stylo 4 users are best off keeping their phone, unless they really just want new software. I personally like Android 9, I would upgrade for Android 9, but most people probably won't notice a difference or care too much.

Been on best buy and c net i got stylo 5 boost and its faster on the both sites u loaded i have not seen lag on this phone i dont play games

Good.... It really depends on who you are. People coming from cheaper prepaid phones are going to love this phone, it's a big step up from other cheaper phones. People coming from the Note 10 will find it is slow. Just depends on your expectations. I'd say it's a good phone for the money though

I don't think it has NFC.. But neither does any Stylo 5 but Metro. It still has 3 GB of RAM and all the features of other Stylo 5's, it just is locked to straight talk. Only way to get it to work with other carriers later is to have it active for at least 6 months and get them to unlock it. Outside of that all the info in my video is valid!

If you're within one year and you have proof of purchase you can send to lg to fix it. They may fix without a receipt. But I will say that what you're mentioning, sometimes that's caused by water damage which they won't cover. If you know you're in warranty you can always contact them. Good luck

It depends on what Stylo 4 you had. The Boost version of the Stylo 5 is much better than the Stylo 4. But the cricket Stylo 4 and Stylo 5s are virtually identical... Just new software. The old Metro Stylo 4 only had 2 GB of RAM. And it got bumped up to 3 with the Stylo 5. But the unlocked version is virtually identical. So it just depends really. I tested the Metro Stylo 5 here, definely improved from the old Stylo 4

Screen mirroring depends on the tv and equipment you have. Some tvs don't support screen mirroring, even smart tvs. If your tv does have the option to mirror your device, it can be as easy as opening an app, like KZread, being connected to the same wifi as your tv, and pressing the cast button in the top right hand corner of your screen (looks like a full 4 bars being broadcasted in a square). You may have to download an app for your smart tv and use that app to mirror depending on the tv. If you don't have that option or your tv doesn't support mirroring, another option is to buy a Chromecast. It costs less than $35. You download the Google home app on your smartphone, plug the Chromecast into the hdmi port on your tv and plug a usb cord into it and you are almost good to go. From there you just download the Google Home app and follow instructions the best you can. You can look up your tv model and see if there is an app for your tv which is a good idea. And see if, when you are on wifi, and your tv is turned on, see if you have the casting symbol in the top right hand corner

All you would need is an extra hdmi cable and this adapter. If this doesn't work, then the only other way to do it would be with wifi

I got my LG Stylo 5 2 weeks ago about and it came with 15 gigs used by the system!!!!! I mean 15 gigs GONE POOF I think that's ridiculous. I like the Stylo 5 but there should be a way to move apps

@@vanessamyers5219 I have the A20 and the stylo 5. I switched to the galaxy A20 for that very issue. I guess it's a Google issue not an LG issue which I still think it's an LG issue because if it was a Google issue you wouldn't be able to move apps and games and pictures etc on any android phone. So with that, I'd recommend going with the galaxy a20. Trust me....its an awesome phone. Big and beautiful crisp screen, very fast, you CAN MOVE APPS TO YOUR SD card! Lol the cameras are good plus you get a wide angle camera on the rear you wouldn't be disappointed at all. It's only of the best budget phones for under $200 on boost I'm not sure how much it is on other carriers. To me that's a good price. :)

@@King_Cobra-fn8dg well it lags a lot less than the LG Charge. It has more RAM and a better processor. People claim it's slow because it is indeed slower then $400 or $500 phones. But it's an upgrade from the LG X Charge for sure

The screen is large and it does everything I need a phone to do. I can't afford a Samsung S series phone. It's not a $999 phone. Best phone I could find for the money. No contract. If you are used to a high end phone, I'm not sure I would recommend it.

I normally answer questions the same day :). Sorry I somehow missed this one. It comes with 32 GB of storage. You can expand your space with a micro SD card, so most people should be just fine with 32 GB. If you're a heavy user you can buy a micro SD card for like $10 or so on Amazon, and move your photos, videos, and music to that. As far as RAM, it has 3 GB of RAM. All models should have 3 GB of RAM.

@@kareemdavis1500 Actually, the LG Stylo 5 has 32 GB of storage as well for Boost Mobile. However, like most phones with 32 GB of storage, nearly half of that is taken by the operating system, so your left with around 16 GB left. So you have about 16 GB left for apps. Most people I know, as long as they don't install games, only install about 4-8 GB of apps. If you install games you might be around 14-16. So it might be a little tight if you're a gamer.

@@kareemdavis1500 yeah newer phones don't let you move apps to the SD card. And you are right, there are a few extra GB missing, that normally aren't taken up. So it's a bummer that you only get left with 16 GB of space in the end. Maybe you can uninstall some of the Boost bloatware or other apps/games the phone comes with, hopefully that could free some space.

Sorry you had a bad time with it... It's all about expectations. If you have an iPhone XS max it will be 500x faster, with a way way better video camera and way better camera. And for you, even $50 it won't be worth it to you because you've had phones that are so much better. Personally, I've been using expensive phones like you. And I can't imagine going back to the LG Stylo 5. So I completely feel your comment. But I'll say this: there are a lot worse phones. A lot of companies sell phones for $100 that are way slower with an even worse cameras. And for those people this phone may be a huge upgrade I'd always recommend trying to spend around $300 if you can for a phone to get one you will be happy with... But for people who never have been able to, this won't be too bad. For some people. But I do hope you get a good phone again. I know it's frustrating to go to a really slow phone and a bad camera

By the way don't be afraid to order something online and return this! Amazon has a 30 day return policy too so whatever you order from Amazon could always hold you over until your replacement phone comes.
