I got it to work - and with latest update on 2023 hardware. Do everything as described in the video, with one additional step: - when selecting Screen Off after disabling, PHYSICALLY HIDE THE REMOTE FROM TV (block its line-of-sight). Screen Off doesn't get interrupted by re-registration if done that way. Been running it without that cursed cursor for 4 days now❤️

I tried this out in the hall, out of line of sight, and it still re-registers it when I press screen off. what might I be doing wrong? or any other ideas?

Me too, as soon as i press the wheel it comes back on regardless of hidng it or not​. So annoying, morons for not allowing an easy disabled option @SueH-bj4dd

@@SueH-bj4dd As soon as I pressed "screen off", I placed the remote behind me (as I was sitting on a couch in front of the TV). To ensure it works, I just repeated the process a few minutes ago. I think there must be some sort of radio in the remote as it moves the pointer even when not pointing directly at the TV. So putting large obstruction in front of it makes sense.

@@SueH-bj4dd Same issue for me on LG G4, I can't manage to hide the remote "enough", it seems to always manage to register it again, hiding behind me or otherwise. I even tried to throw the remote quickly in another room behind a wall, but somehow still registers. I guess I can't put it far enough fast enough...

It worked for me first time. I'm not sure about the model / year or any details about my TV... However my remote looks EXACTLY like his and the settings and every step looked identical.

Still works, screen off is now located elsewhere. At least for our home LG TV. All Settings - picture settings - energy saving - screen off

Guys it works. But you have to follow these instructions to the T. I tried 3x and figured out I was messing up at the wait 5 seconds then push the Home Screen. Also you must add the screen off option. My menu bar was full and I had to delete one of the shortcuts. Anyways I think the cursor is finally gone. It’s the most annoying tech ever! LG intentionally made it hard for ppl to figure out how to turn it off. For reference my LG tv is about 3 years old.

It didn’t work for me the remote did blink but then it said then I pressed home then it said successfully has been deregistered then a second later it says successfully registered
