I just picked up a B8 65inch for $1699 tax free at Nebraska Furniture Mart. I’m impressed with it so far.

Pretty Boy Flizzy HUD gets dimmed by TV. On B8 you got control to dim low or high

just bought the B8 floor model in perfect condition from BB without stand for $846 and that includes 2yrs warranty. I'm upgrading from Samsung JS8500. Both 55 inch. I haven't hooked it up yet as I'm waiting for the universal tv stand to arrive from Amazon in a couple of days. I hope it's a worthy upgrade because if it's not, back it goes.

It’s around $1000 price difference. There is nothing competing with OLED. However for what it’s worth my wife, my dad, and brothers couldn’t Notice the difference. It’s for people who really are particular about their picture. Good luck 🍀 And thanks man!

Got the LG C8 for 1166$ a month ago. Its simple been amazing since then to watch movies and anime ^^. Just make sure to switch from eco settings to technicolor expert.

Hi. NIce vid! What do you think about seeing sports for 2hours , once a week? Will I get some burnin effect?

Picked up the 55" last week for 1100. 2019 models dropping this month so go grab one now! It is a fantastic tv for everything but cable TV. I'm on Comcast and their signal and bitrate is terrible so there is only so much you can do with picture settings.

So I bought one. And then I heard about the "burn in" and so on. And from that moment, I was completely terrified. I'm a gamer, so that will be a good portion of the use on the TV. And burn in was a huge concern. Still is no less, but this made me a little less on edge about it. Huge help for real. Thank you, you've gained a subscriber.

Basically, you would have to play the exact same game with the same banners, ie Overwatch or something, like hours and hours a day, I’m talking like 8-12 hours a day, for like a year or two for it even to be a possibility. And nobody in their right mind will be doing that, naturally content gets varied plus people have lives to lead. The tv also does cycles when it is off to pixel refresh without you even having to do a thing. You would have to be pretty stupid and abusive to get any kind of serious burn in

@@W0lf_91 I think a lot of what is out there is fear mongering. And then is the typical faulty panel which you can't really do much about after an initial purchase seeing as how you won't know until you power that bad boy up. But that said I'm confident once my setup is connected and up and running, I will be able to manage and take care of the TV and ensure a long and healthy life for it. So it's all good.

4 years later and I still.dont have any screen burning. You just have to take care of it, refresh the park pixels and try staying away from news channels or channels that display a logo for a long period of time

Right now my local Fry's has the B8 55 inch for $899. I don't have a tv at all right now. Just a computer monitor. I used to have a Sony X900e which I loved. I feel like I can't pass up on this deal.

Bro the b8 is an amazing oled I had to go with the c9 this year what's really weird is somehow the c8 seemed like it had less color then the b8 very weird and now the c9 has the reds and greens back that I was used to the c8 reds were orangish for some reason was really weird but man again the b8 is great and I'm so happy with my c9 now people forget also that the processor actually produces the way the color is displayed this is the reason why oleds arent all the same and why led TVs arent all the same even the ones with the same panels great review man just would of loved to see some input lag settings but I dont know if you have the equipment to test it or not all good either way and guys there are burn in warrants now best buy has a 2 3 and 5 year warranty all have burn in coverage now no questions asked replacement panels and if they cant fuc it you get the money back you payed for the tv keep in mind I only payed 2000 dollars and got a 220 dollar gift card so it's a killer deal even tho it's only the 55 inch it's still fantastic and perfect for my room and gaming and movies ai actually didnt want a TV amy bigger then 55 inches

What about gaming, it has 120hz?

Why does everything looks soo blue on OLEDs? I know it uses a WRBG, but is there any way to fine tune the settings to get rid of that? I really want to buy a B8, but that blue tint is unacceptable.

11 year old plasma TV currently. Still has a nice picture 65 inches

I think that OLED is the way to go if you are looking for a new TV at the minute. However like you rightly say, the price for an OLED is pretty steep compared to an older TV.

I wanted this tv but I had nowhere to put the one I have now. Now I have to wait for the price to drop again.

I got my B7a from 2017 and it still pops! Won't be upgrading for at least one or two more years

Mustafa Sanafi I had really bad burn in on my B7 after a few months, but LG was surprisingly easy to deal with and replaced my screen and motherboard. Its been great since then.

@@iamsanafi I've had mine for at least 7 months. I see a lot of image rention but that goes away. I also got an extended warranty or service plan from the place where I got it. I don't leave the TV on one channel for hours or leave it on while I'm not using it. Just treat it like a you're trying to save energy and it'll be fine.

Does anyone have the 55" model? Does it have issues with banding and vertical lines? I could get a 55" B8 for $830 brand new from a store but I never owned an OLED TV and internet is full of horror stories of OLED TV's having vertical lines and other annoying issues ...

Awesome review. Seems like the perfect tv for enjoying media. Cool they included a half decent sound bar. I didn't know OLED suffers from screen burn in, I guess it's no good for a doctor's office that plays the news all day lol.

Did you even watch the video? He said it like 3 times. The only difference between them is the processor (mainly appearing in mpeg processing - better smoothing SDR content - Imo not worth it as I'm going to watch high res content on 4k tv xD) and sound quality. So if you have a lot of money to spend then why not, otherwise go for B8.

The b8 has the a7 chip and c8 e8 has the a9 chip. I heard it makes the resolution a little crispier but not by much for the extra cost

Great review ive got oled B8 its awesome for the money do you think the new gaming consoles with hdmi 2.1 will work ok with the B8 as its hdmi 2.0

@@iamsanafi I actually had like the worst luck in receiving the tv. First it took fed ex like 12 day to shop... And then after all the waiting and anticipation... It was broken in the box.. top corner dented badly to the point the tv wouldn't even turn on. So obviously blgot a replacement sent and this time it only took two days buy was working all day they day it was delivered so kissed the shipment. Went to the address the next day where the post it note said it would be available for pick up but they sent itwasntvtheee because they mistakingly sent it out for delivery again and I had to work again...anyhow so long story short I finally just got the TV 4 hours ago...soooo no burn in yet lol

@@iamsanafi thanks bud. I will say so far freaking stunning. First thing I did was go the the HDR channel here on the KZreads and watched some of the demo video on there and it's breathtaking. I'm a very light TV user in general. Sometimes going weeks in between uses and do most of my gaming on my PC so hopefully I'll have no issues with burn in

I just bought it for $1100 for the b8. I was using a samsung ks8000 55inch and noticed i had image retention aka burn in. I think i paid $1800 for it in 2016. OLED were like $4000 back then. I also starting to see 8ktv come out but i cant afford those

I luv my b8 great TV once u go oled can't go led etc this tv be great for next gen consoles to as mainly be 4k 60hz but it does 120hz at 1080p then the TV should upscale so to go buy TV with hdmi 2.1 were mainly games gonna be 4k 60hz lot money hdmi 2.0 is perfectly fine for next gen consoles

it has motion interpolation, if thats what ur asking. If you're asking if it supports real 120hz, like the bfg displays, then no.

you miss the input options such as freesync and 120Hz support... that was a critical miss...

Samsung is the only one close to high hz high frame input @4k. They currently don't have it over HDMI so probably a safe bet to assume a yes to your question.

55 inch B8 is down to 1100 now. It’s the best looking tv. Buy the extended warranty just in case.

@noree beab The 8 series has made quite a bit of headway in that department. And look buy the extended warranty. If you get burn in, you get a 100% refund for what you paid. That happened on my first gen oled TV, and since prices came down so much i was able to upgrade to a bigger better version. It is still the best looking display i have ever seen.

@@iamsanafi not on my C8, about 8 hours of gaming a day or so. My B6 did get some slight burn in after 2+ years of gaming in about the same usage. Well i think it had more to do with HDR gaming. Thankfully i bought the 3 year extended warranty so they just cut me a check for what i originally paid for it which paid for my C8 straight out

@@iamsanafi In my instance, it was not clear. I needed to use a test pattern of all yellow to display it. Occasionally i could notice it in a movie if that area had a large solid uniformed color (super rare). Then it just looked a little bit /off/. no one else could notice it until i really pointed it out and replayed it pointing it out what to look for lol. The warranty depends on how much $ you paid for it. Mine was like 280$, so you get the 1 year manufacture warranty and then 3 more years on the extended. The C8 & C9 supposedly improve on these burn in issues. Honestly they have the best picture quality that i have ever seen, and despite my issue i bought a new one in a heart beat. I can't speak about the Q8FN, or what your needs are. But do what is right for you.

Had to return mine, even with eye care on, it hurts the hell out of my eye. I went with the Samsung 9000 series

What exactly about it hurt your eyes?

I had not really been considering an LG OLED because of the burn in I saw on the store display at Best Buy...however I trust your judgement and I will throw it into consideration. I will be purchasing a new tv in the next two months. I'm looking to see what the pricing will be for the new Sony TV's before I make a decision. You never seem to really talk about the Sony TV's, they can be pricey but are top tier.

@peter yes sir. It is a 2018 open box from Best Buy. Was looking at the TCL because they were pushing it and the rep from TCL was pushing it. Then the guy took me to the high end room and said this was available it was listed for 825, but when he rang it out it came to 460 out the door.

You’re confusing the word processor ( i work in an av shop that receives direct training from manufacturers and I look at/ compare tvs all the time) you are thinking of the processor like a processor in a computer that is mainly responsible for speed. The processor in a tv is a VIDEO processor. The word video is important because the main responsibility of processor in a tv is to to things like handling shadows, lighting, color accuracy and even upscaling lower quality content. There is a reason sony’s AF9 oled in a 65” in $4,500. Because it has their X1 Ultimate processor which won an award at ces just for the processor alone. It’s not $2000 more because the interface runs faster 😂

Maybe you can give me some insight into my question. I have a Sony XBR X900E (I bought it in fall 2017). The Android OS is soo sluggish and slow, apps sometimes take ages to load, it takes about 10 seconds between pressing the volume up button on the remote and the volume actually turning up. and the voice function also takes about 10 seconds to load and might freeze the TV. It was like this pretty much from the beginning (although not as bad as it is now). I always do the android updates when they're available. Do you know what the reason might be for this almost unusable OS performance?

Go read the rtings.com information again. You can view the summary. It did not take 8k hours for it to start. It took roughly 560 hours for the first signs, this being from to 200nits CNN display. The others followed after to varying degree.

@@W0lf_91 A bit over 3 weeks yes but the burn in is cumulative. Most people don't seem to understand what that means. No matter how long a session is the cumulative affect is the same 2 hours now is the same as 1 hour now and 1 hour later. Watch a single station for 2 hours a day for a year, that's 730 hours. Lots of people watch similar content for extended periods of time and again similar content means for instance sports tickers in the same area's as others or news tickers scrolling on the screen on different networks or huds in same spot.

no it's not.... prices that much lower compared to the standard sale price going on are from scam companies, selling the tv used as new, or simply won't deliver the tv at all... it's cute that you think you're smarter than others, and order from a company who won't ship you the product and have your credit card number to have fun with in the future if they choose to... so many unintelligent fucking worthless beings like you exist today.. it's quite sad

@@michaelangst6078 Not true Michael. The 55" B8 was on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, etc for $1000 in March. Sad I missed out on it.
