This is the 1959 playoffs reaction upgraded to color and HD quality. This Steve guy has been rip for decades and missed the 1967 cup win.
I superchatted this during the game 6 livestream: "Road to Leafs fan recovery- every year they miss the playoffs or get bounced in the 1st, remove some memorabilia from your room. The story is that Austin matthews had 4 points and 3 of them came in the only win he played in. He, Tavares, and Marner all got out played by 3 million dollar Max Domi. I will allow arguments between Nylander and Domi for who the best Leaf in the series was. I think Dollar/performance, Domi wins by a country mile. Nylander proved that he earned that raise but Domi proved he was grossly under paid.

This was the hardest I’ve seen the Leafs play in the postseason. Some changes are necessary but I hope they keep Domi and Bertuzzi. They helped set the tone. @@regancorbett1562 it was an incredible goal. I meant it was weak from Samsonov’s perspective. He froze. He could have poke checked or challenged Pasternak. Instead he was so deep in his own net that Pasternak was able to deke him literally half way into the blue paint. You cannot give that much space to one of the best scorers in the league.
This is an annual tradition. I always love this one. From a Bruin Die hard to you Steve, please keep up the great job. As a sports fan, I feel your pain but you do it in a hilarious fashion.
Honestly guys, this is what we needed, hard as it is. There's no coming back from that and everyone knows it. The zombies are put in the grave where they belong, and we can all properly mourn and MOVE ON from something we all wanted to believe in so bad but we have to let go because its just not meant to be. The flip side of this is that things actually get kind of exciting now. Real, big changes are finally coming for this team and Im here for it. If you can manage to get marner and tavares off the books, plus brodie, samsonov, klingberg, etc, you're talking about more than 30 million in cap space with the cap projected to go up significantly as well. Thats more than enough to go out and get a great veteran goaltender to insulate Woll and a true number one defenceman, and have plenty left to build a complimentary core around matthews, nylander, knies, cowan and minten. I honestly think the future is really bright for this team, but they had to lose like this, AGAIN, for it to finally happen. Go Leafs Go

That moment when Nylander tells Marner to stop crying on the bench and man up in game 4 seems so prophetic now. Marner looked like he was taking a warmup skate when Pasta raced past him in OT to score the winner.

This is very well done, Steve
Maybe Sammy should’ve had that first one, but maybe every single Leaf in the vicinity shouldn’t have been puck watching and should have been covering/tying up their assignment. If they have any semblance of defensive responsibility this is far less likely to happen. And obviously Marner shoulda known someone was there; and Reilly shouldn’t have quit skating. That was a classic Leafs low effort unforced error.

Having forwards isn't important if you can't generate offense from the blueline. They need to abandon the star studded forward corps and learn from what just killed them. What killed them was a pass from a competent offensive blueliner that split the Leafs for a blitz attack to their very best goal scorer up front. Like I said, LEARN. you need your offense to start from the blue line. The defense cannot be an afterthought. Name one cup winner who scrimped on D as much as the Leafs. bet you can't.
