The core takes up roughly half of the Leafs salary cap. You cannot win like this. Auston is the only star you have on Toronto that I trust actually gives a proper fuck about winning. The big one is Carlyle. That Bruins team was 2 years removed from winning the Cup and was about to get back to the Finals. That Leafs team made the playoffs only because there were 48 games due to the lockout and didn't have another 34 to blow it......and they led 4-1 in Game 7 after erasing a 3-1 series lead.

Tavares Nylander Marner and Reilly have a combined 4 points in 4 games. Nylander missed 3 games for "undisclosed reason". This is why this team sucks. $35m for 4 points in 4 games. Blame Samsonov all you want, but you get what you pay for at Goalie. He's the 28th highest paid goalie in the league for a reason. Meanwhile Tavares and Marner are 6th and 7th top paid forwards in the league and have been completely absent so far.

It's always nice to know that Patrice Bergeron is looking over Steve's shoulder, taunting him.

I agree. Hockey is a sport where force of will and passion alone can sway the balance in your favor over anything, including skill. A decent player who is playing with everything he has will always beat the perfect player who doesn't have his head on straight. Its part of why I love the sport and respect the players. It was difficult to watch the Leafs (even as a Bruins fan). I didn't even enjoy it all that much because i ultimately felt bad for the fans. ​@DiamondKingVideos Just wanted to add, regarding Marchand, I haven't agreed with every stunt he pulled or his behavior at times but he gives a shit. It's that simple. He wants to win in a visceral way. His vital signs change, etc. But these Leafs act like they are playing a charity game. They clearly don't care about winning and they have very poor chemistry as a team.

They were down 3-1 going back to Montreal for Game 5......and smoked them. Then they won one of the greatest games I've ever seen in Game 6 to force Game 7. So yeah, this series is NOT over

Matthews can score 100 goals in the season but becomes a ghost when it matters most. Defense wins championships you need depth grit and heart to win a cup. I feel for leafs fans. I'm a Hawks fan btw

Why, in gods name, did Keefe take out Dewar. That 4th line was buzzing. Doing EVERYTHING a 4th line does. Get the puck deep, hit everything that moves, cycle it to tire out defenders, and get off the ice.

Every year he is entertaining! Whether we are playing them or not! I dont get to watch his content as much as i would like (there is just too much content i try to keep up with) SHOUT OUT TO: "Low Quality Bruins Fan'. But definitely worth a watch, when you have time!

At least Matthews had the decency to take his dump in private, unlike the other Leafs who did it on the ice with everyone watching.

As a Bruins fan, I have to tell you not a good luck for your player to miss the third period when I see hockey players coming back I’m broken legs and getting stitches on the bench winning culture means a lot. You guys are a better team and still can come back, but that was not a good look

@@RichardTavilla As a Flames fan, totally agree. Don't wanna be hard on a guy who's sick, but Matthews had to be unable to stand up to not play the third. Guys have broken arms and don't go down the tunnel, like you said, thats a winning culture.

the most depressing part (for leaf fans) is that those 2 have the same amount of points as the Leafs top 2 centers. It gets even worse considering how Zacha and Coyle combine for a cap hit of "only" 10mil and Marchand is killing it with 2ppg at a cap hit of 6,1. 16mil cap hit compared to Matthews and Tavares 22,6 mil. Just insane to think about it.

The team's well coached,,plays with structure,,has a good blue-line and good goaltending. Complete opposite to this bullshit in Toronto since Shanny The Man With The Plan took over.

Going 0-8 on the PP in TWO games is also what is killing the Leafs right now, have to put that out there and I'm a Bruins fan, we have always sucked on the PP in the playoffs and it's typically never went well which is why the Bruins are notorious for being choke artists.

They have to fire Keefe TONIGHT. 1. 5th longest serving coach currently in the league, and three ahead of him have all won cups 2. He's clearly allowed the special teams to implode 3. If you fire him tonight, you may spark a miracle Ivory coast fired their coach IN THE MIDDLE of a tournament and became African champions. Fire Keefe before game 5 and see what happens.
