Excellent tutorial! Thank you kindly! This was much easier than I had anticipated. Getting the bezel back on was the hardest part, and that the was only because the bottom hinges were tricky.

Thanks Graham. I have exactly the same laptop that seems to have a failing screen after 5 years. Looking at this video has given me more than enough confidence to be able to take the job on. Just need to confirm exactly what model screen to buy now. A nice, straightforward, easy-going style makes this very easy to watch & understand. Very much appreciated :)

I just changed my laptop screen. Your video made it easy. I looked at some other videos and some guys take the whole laptop apart from the bottom to do this. Maybe taking out the battery is part of the reason but they seem to make it harder than it needs to be. I had your video up right next to me while I was doing it. It took less than 30 minutes. Thanks.

@@Johnbull4u I have an HP. I opened up HP assistant and it told me my serial and product number. With that I was able to search to find the correct screen. I can't remember if I found it on the HP website or with just a plain google search. I found 2 sellers on eBay and bought the screen for about $100.

Hi Is a touch LCD can be replaced a non touch LCD for hp 15-f222wm? Im not quite sure if i can just buy a much cheaper one since a touch cost a lot more. My cousin broke it after his phone fell on the screen.

The newer HP 15 displays are glued on so you need a heat gun or a hairdryer.

Probably because they want you to buy a new one instead of repairing it. I am NEVER going to purchase another HP product again. It's all crap or scammy

Usually there's a little bit of glue sticking out at the top or bottom of the screen.. you can pull on that and remove the glue by just pulling on it. No heatgun required. But not always, yeah

Flickering/glitchy display is most likely the display cable. It CAN be the LCD, but more often it's the cable.

Is it glass-fronted? If it's capacitive touch (glass-fronted) then it'll be a different animal to this one. But I've also seen HP laptops with the fancy new in-cell touch panels that look just like a non-touch LCD. Those are the same as this video.
