Hey, if I may ask but one question about the content of the video; how did Toyota/Lexus engineers get thier hands on a McLaren F1...? Was it owned by a higher-up, or did they buy one just to test? Also, whatever happened to it? Was it kept after the testing, or was it sold to offset a bit of the development costs...? I am really curious...

I find the whole story quite dark, considering the wake turbulence of that extremist pet project driven by desire of one man and the eventual fatal blunder *outside* of a race track, i.e. highly irresponsible driving, probably drunk on ego. Where excellence and aiming for perfection doesn't serve the common well-being, it is unbalanced, not adding something truly from the heart, but a spiritual con like Musk's technocratic space escapism adventures.

We spoke at length about, you guessed it, cars While speaking about the EB110, he referred to the use of 4 turbos, with a LEGENDARY quote that he has also repeated in some interviews "By using 4, i repeat 4, turbos, they made complicated what was previously easy, by going through the useless" He passed away a few months ago, and after him, also went another italian Legend, Mauro Forghieri, Rest In (Horse)Power to both legends

More impressive then the video iteself, is the perfectly tunned soundtrack all over the video. Few times I could see something on youtube and feel the rush of emotions when watching it. Well done.

Idc what the media (top gear) says, LFA is amazing, beautiful, classy, and will always be a flex. An instant classic, a masterpiece

JC himself said if he were only allowed one car for the rest of his life it would be an LFA.

@ZesPak he went on about how it was too little too late. Spent too much time in development and was obsolete by the time you could buy one...not a very good sales pitch

@@PimpDaddyDiscoit objectively was too late, the GTR was already around and kicking at the time it came out, but Top Gear praised it more than they dissed it since it's also famous for being what Jeremy Clarkson (still) claims to be the best car he's ever driven.

I collected an LFA from an auction for a customer who lived on Jersey in the Channel Isles, when I got back to our compound I took the car off the transporter to transfer it to our secure storage, I just sat there revving that sublime work of art, after it was over I shed a tear or 2, 1 for the utterly magnificent sound and 2 knowing I would never own or get to drive one ever again, out of all the cars I've been privileged to drive during my life, Lexus LFA is absolutely Number 1.

Ii discovered this channel a few months ago and whenever there's a new upload, I make sure to only watch it when I have enough time to sit down and really appreciate the works of art that you produce. The narration, the editing, the throw away jokes. Absolutely beautiful.

Exactly! Hence me being 13 days late (the holidays and all). One must be in no rush, phone set aside, and just be in the moment. The Squidd is the best automotive journalist on KZread, and dare I say since Top Gear with the Trio.
