    yes. he abandoned the things that made that performance against cruz so great. he was patient and the power he possesses can lay anyone out. he engages in needless slugfests and that's what's cost him those losses. he has a good chin - watch his fight against font. also Munoz landed a monster hook on him and he still was semi conscious. he does not use head movement anymore, it's a big flaw to not use it since he's quite the skilled boxer. I hope he can bounce back,he's still young.

    DJ didn't want to break Borg's arm, and he didn't, that is why he held him in that position so long before applying real pressure and forcing the tap and letting go even before the ref could stop the action. A true show of class and character.

    Holloway's blind dodging was amazing. Cowboys combo is still the most legendary combo in the UFC to date. Mighty Mouse literally throwing Borg into an armbar is the definition of "Levels". Not even Khamzat, Islam, or Khabib did anything like that when they've mauled people. Top 3 for sure.

    @@nitolinilo9034 I don't think he could be as as technical and athletic at over a feet taller and almost double his weight. I personally just don't see the small guys as entertaining (under lightweight). Don't know why, probably has to do with the lack of power leading to less KO/TKO wins and those rounds that would have been finished higher are 10-8. The problem is even worse in women

    The fact that Gustafsson never got the belt is so unfortunate. He took two of the greatest of all time to the limit and could’ve won against prime Jon Jones. Everyone else he faced in his prime (except Rumble) he pretty much demolished. A slick and accurate boxer with a reach advantage over almost everyone, and good enough wrestling to take down two of the best wrestlers in MMA history. Guys as skilled as he was deserve a championship at least once.

    Bobby Knuckles’ striking is just so clean. DJ’s flying arm bar still blows my mind to this day, it’s a thing of beauty. Awesome video! Also, maybe in light of Irene Aldana’s upkick to the liver, how about a crazy liver shot or leg kick knockouts video? Watching Kai get dropped by Brandon’s was crazy too.     Man when I saw that performance from Cody I thought he would rule the division for years. Sucked to see him go down like he did but I'll always come back to that fight just for the memories. He was controlling the light, dark and the shadows in between that night. Whittaker's kick is a thing of beauty, absolutely does not telegraph it at all. Vicious.

    Cody is my foavorite fighter and here’s why, since you all asked. Seeing that performance against Cruz shows how good Cody is and I root for him every time. I cannot speak for him nor would I assume I know what the issue is but man, the mental side of fighting is a very crucial fragile thing for some, I admire fighters with a mental fortitude that’s consistent.

    TJ vs Barao has an asterisk over it because of TJ's failed drug test. I remember TJ before the Barao fights and he was nothing special, then all of a sudden he was unbeatable and had an endless gas tank. I'm highly sceptical to the point where I think he ruined his legacy because of the cheating.

I don't understand how people are so naïve and dumb and can't connect a+b -> a) PEDs are cheating and increase your performance way beyond natural human limits b) people get caught in every sports all the time and they're usually not even among the best Yet people think those "average" elite level athletes compete with natural athletes and are still not at the top? People caught in Crossfit Games juicing like there's no tomorrow, not even top 5. People in UFC juicing so hard they get caught by useless USADA and are still not beating natty champions. People in football getting caught and saying the club gave them PEDs, people in cycling having way better performances than previously caught juicers, people in boxing fighting for 50mn without breathing heavy at the end, etc etc...

    He says "in the UFC" not in the world. And context is very important because his opponent, Calvin Kattar, said he was the best boxer in the UFC before this fight with Holloway and Holloway made him look silly with his fists alone. And to add, all that head movement from boxers would get you head kicked into oblivion in MMA, so these kinds of comparisons can easily go both ways.

He's a great offensive boxer but his defence is bad. Even McGregor is better. Poirier is better. And you talk about boxing on its own well Holly Holm is better than him. I'll give him a pass because it was mid-fight.
