Wonderful BLtouch. 😁
This is easily the best tutorial video I've ever seen on KZread. No bs, no goofy intro, no egomania. Just a clear and precise instruction and presentation. You got my sub.

This guys has tutorials down pat. No frills, just clear, concise instructions on what you need to do and possible hurdles you may face. Excellent.
This is the definitive tutorial for the BLTouch on the E3V2. Nice work, Bryan! I've installed mine a couple of hours ago and your tip for setting the Z offset saved me. I'm using Jyers' Marlin and it makes this a little easier too.
Small correction: When auto-homing, the _probe_ moves to the center of the bed, not the _nozzle_ . Clarifying, just in case someone thinks there's something wrong with their setup (there isn't).

@@BV3D I know this is like 2 years old but, gosh it's so refreshing to see someone supportive and okay with a commentor making a correction, or catching something that the person may have missed. It sounds like it should be common practice to do so, but people can really be antsy about that sort of thing.
Thanks Bryan, I've been struggling with this for a week & you've finally shown me the way forward to get it working properly. I thought it was me missing something ...
Hi Bryan, I assembled my first 3d printer Ender 3 v2 with your video and now i am gonna install my BLTouch.Thank you for these simple and well explained videos.
Thanks Brian! Just upgraded my V2 with the BL touch and encountered the "Black screen of death" at the firmware update stage...and your suggestion helped! Excited for my future prints!
Clear. Concise. Easy to understand. Well edited. Nothing goofy. Bravo sir. Thank you for this tutorial.
I just recently found you while looking for help after purchasing my first 3D printer. Your information and the way you deliver it just resonates with me. Keep up the great content, it's much appreciated!
Hi Bryan. I just got a BL Touch for my Ender 3 V2 and your video will be extremely helpful. I really appreciate your style as it reminds me of shows like My Classic Car or DIY home repair shows I grew up watching with my dad. I have found few channels on KZread as informative as yours. Keep up the great content!
I want to tell you that this was the video I needed to see. As it is with computers and networking, we have to read 15 things to find enough info to resolve our problem. I was two days watching and reading, with so much info left out and your video hit the spot entirely. I finally was able to get something to print. Thanks for the informative video.
Great tutorial, worked perfectly. Been messing around for ages with no BLTouch, so decided to give it a go. Instructions were useless, this video sorted it out and my first print is going perfectly. Nice one Bryan!!
Lifesaver! Been racking my brain over this for a week. Sorry I'm new to 3d printing.
This was very helpful. You gave a high amount of detail, which is very useful for those planning to do this mod ahead of time and nervous about unexpected surprises. This made me more confident about how it will go when my parts arrive. Thank you.
Bryan, you make my day with great tips for z-offset configuration, I was struggling with the poor printing quality, now, after your tips, my Ender 3 w/ BLTouch is printing like a charm. Thx!
Thank you once again Bryan. Your tutorials are to the point, no BS and are a good middle ground between expecting the viewer to know a little, but not being a genius either.
Not only did u help me upgrade to Jyers, but today i finally got around to install the bl touch and upgrade yet again. Without your videos that would not have happened. I tip my hat to u good sir. You are how the internet should be. Thank you sir and happy holidays, and be excellent to eachother.
You're an amazing instructor for all of us that are new to 3D printing. Your videos on the Ender 3 v2 have been invaluable as I continue to troubleshoot my setup and hopefully find good print settings.
Thank you! I followed the firmware update and this video and I've now got a happily function ender 3 v2. I think my bed was warped so this seems to have really done the trick! Excellent videos!
Great description. So much better than the majority of other 3d printing videos.
OK! So glad I found you. Probably the clearest tutorials around. Lots of information without being boring. SUSCRIBED!
Your videos are informative, to the point, and more helpful than all the others.Thank you!
Amazing! This was such a concise and helpful video. THANK YOU for taking the time to make it!
This has to be the best explanation Iv come across, Iv almost thrown the printer out the window not being able to understand what z-offset meant. Thank you so much!
Really appreciate your tutorial! Was a great step by step breakdown, really appreciate your z-offset process on getting things dialed in just right!!
Thank you. I recently got the bltouch and I was seeing how it worked in your video did a wonderful job of that and again thank you
Seriously thanks man! This is the third video in a row you’ve made that’s helped me! You sir earn a sub!
Fantastic!!! Stuck for days on this and you've fixed my problem in minutes! 100% subscribing to this
Very comprehensive, look forward to watching more of your videos
I've had to contact Creality because I also have a early version of the Ender 3V2 and they did send me a new extruder carriage, it took around 3 months but I've finally got it today. Thanks for the great video Brian!
Thanks for the video... I have the Ender 3 Max and hard to find instructions and your video really helped walk me through the installation. All I had to do prior is print the Ender 3 ma bracket and purchase a screw set.
Thanks very much for this brilliant video. I followed your instructions to the letter..... Except, I actually found it really easy to feed the BL-Touch cable inside the sleeving all the way from the Motherboard to the hot end you only have to snip a few cable ties and replace them afterwards. This makes a very neat looking installation.
I very much appreciate this video, I couldn't have installed it with out you. Thank you so much.
I'm loving your stuff so far. Just got into 3d printing with an Ender 3 v2 and you have been a crucial 3d tool. Keep it up!

This definitely solved my problem. Creality has so many firmware versions for the same printer, I made sure I used the same version as you (even though it's probably not the latest) and all was good , unlike other instructions (including Crealities) that couldn't be followed.
thanks as this helped me figure out some useful tips and tricks as i am new to 3d printing. Very valuable thanks !
Howdy from Houston, Thanks a bunch for this vid, I just got my ender 3 v2 about a week ago and afrer printing a bunch of stuff i had my first mishap. I fell asleep after starting a print and woke up to find my hotend entombed in a plastic coffin... off to amazon and I now have a new bltouch an all metal hotend and a all metal extruder. this vid was instrumental in getting the bltouch dialed in fast. my Z offset ended up being -2.37.
Hey! I'm a maker in San Antonio and just got an Ender 3 v2. Watched all your videos to get mine set up. Yours were the best. I was delighted to see you are in the same town. Congrats on the growth of your channel. Very effective. Thank you!

Hey Bud, Im in Bulverde like 15 min north of SA 281/1604, I know I noticed his UT coaster in the video but saw it displays as San Antonio! w00t w00t. Do you know any place locally at has 3d print gear, like filaments, etc..?

@@mccubbinaerial6000 I haven’t found anything local. Amazon has been my only source.
I know this is a 5 month old video but I just purchased and updated to the BLTouch. Was very easy because of this video. Thank you. You have probably figured this out but in the video you mentioned that you don't know why it raises the head 10mm after auto-home. I think that is so that if you shut off the printer, there is enough room for the probe auto-test when you power it back up. Also, don't know if the Creality firmware is now saving the setting on-board but I am using the firmware from the Marlin site and it does save the settings to the board.
Another great tutorial! I had the same issue with the probe failing during g29 and just printing anyway. Went through creality's fw, then 3DSmith, finally just compiled vanilla marlin and set up the probe through that, and haven't had the issue since. Your z offset method would have been great two weeks ago! Lol
you got my sub was engaged all the way through except when i amazon one of these units
You are great at this!
Those instructions included were terrible your video was the ONLY useful advice I could get on getting this setup properly!! Definitely agree with all the vendor advice too!
This is a good video, as someone new to this it was really helpful.
Great video, I think it has the opposite effect on me than what creality would hope for though. This helped me decide that the BLtouch isn't for me. I do have the warped glass plate that the enders are apparently known for, but rather than buy the leveling system and go through the setup and install, I've just decided to buy replacement plates that are known to be much flatter and I'm getting two of them for half the price of the BLtouch without having to deal with a firmware update, guess-and-check z-offset (or offest) and more moving parts with potential for failure. Thanks for the thorough and honest review.
You saved me hours of my life!!! THANK YOU! OUTSTANDING JOB!!!
Wow, this was probably the best, most succinct way this could have been explained
Great vid - Have saved this for when my first printer arrives in a week or two
Great tutorial, and fabulous hair. Keep it up.

I just bought a 3 v2 and I'm thinking about getting this. When using the bltouch do you still need to manually level the bed, or do you only manually level if it's really off?
@dragoshiuk
3 жыл бұрын
@@agardell1 When I installed it for the first time I did a rough manual level, and then had the bltouch do its thing. Not had a problem with it since. If you've got an octoprint server you can get a bed levelling visualiser which will show you how close to/far off you are from having it manually level. You can really home it in!

Howdy Friend. I kept getting hyper-fixed on your UT longhorn coaster on the bottom left of the screen. Lol. I also realized about half way into me typing this that some content creators might enjoy some anonymity so no need to reply if ya choose but a big HELLO from Bulverde, TX! :) I had gotten tired with trying to go with offshoots like (A8, Aquila X2, etc) and always run into issues with ability to either upgrade or mod even though they are basically aestheticlly similar however the internals are divergent tech which for instance adds in st links, soldering, and a whole slew of things not to mention the passionate yet low populations of these communities that help make marlin and a few others finally accessible. So I just got a new Ender 3 v2 on a amazon lighting deal and was able to get a CR Touch along with their new Sprite Direct Drive for literally about $150 less than the S1. And deciding to have some background help with the install I have seen many of your videos and its was an easy selection. So thank you for your hardwork and pro-level content.
I watched a few of your vids to help me get my printer & BLTouch up n runnin - thank you for the vids it helped greatly! BV3D all da wayyyy
