Strange thing is, I regret selling it the same day I sold it and I miss the bass ever since. Long story short . . . never sell your bass. All the best from the Netherlands.

My old Jaydees need new pots. I need to take out the circuit board and read the pot values. The controls are either wide open or closed. I wish John would redesign the circuit board with a better design. Even Mark King has been having problems with his new cherry red that he ordered from John three years ago.

Well done sir again, what are the biggest differences between the JD and the Alembic? Which one do you prefer?
@marcusbellbass1375
2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, apart from the look they couldn’t be more different… Alembic has the single pickups and therefore sound extremely clean but with the character of the woods selected. Jaydee has the split coil pickups so have more mids and therefore are a bit more characterful, which can be good and bad depending on the situation you’re playing in. All I can say is the Alembic has been way more usable in ‘normal’ music situations, they never sound out of place and I always have had massive compliments on tone.
